This month the bulk of the daily action for Taurus is in Libra, your 6th House of work, health and pets. This will be further punctuated by a New Moon in that same locale on September 29, which should herald either something new or at the least a new phase for something in this part of your life. Thus, if you've been thinking about changing jobs, it looks like the planets are in your court to help you along the way. There are a couple of fairly long-term aspects this month as well involving the slower moving, outer planets as well that are worth looking at. These planets include Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, which are known as the social planets whereas Mercury, Venus, Mars, the Moon, and Sun are considered personal planets. (Yes, I know that the Moon and Sun are not technically a "planet" but they are as far as astrology is concerned, using the term generically as an astrologically significant heavenly body.) The social planets tend to influence significant life changes more so than the personal ones, which are more active in our daily lives. This is not to say that daily occurrences aren't significant, only that the quieter, more subtle changes can usually be credited to the social planets. That said, let's consider that Jupiter - Saturn trine that's out there starting this month and continuing until mid-December. Jupiter's reputation is benefic and frequently associated with good luck, expansion, and at worst, exaggeration. He's hanging out in solemn Capricorn, your 9th House, which comprises higher education, legal matters (including contracts of all kinds), long-distance travel, and your beliefs, thus including politics and religion in this house as well. This placement implies increased activities in this area of your life, whether you've noticed it or not. Stuffy Saturn is in Virgo, your 5th House of creativity, children, romance, ego, entertainment, and self-expression. Saturn is all about responsibility, obligations, structure, and delays, but a trine is a harmonious aspect that should tie these two planets together in a positive way. This is where you need to do a bit of a "one from column A, one from column B" exercise to see how this will manifest in your life. Possibilities include everything from a relaxing vacation to someplace far away to finally deciding what you want to be when you grow up and signing up to return to school. It could even indicate getting married, if you're in such a position, with the implied ties between romance and legal matters, since marriage is a contract. Buying or selling a house is a contract, as well, and often occurs when a Full or New Moon occurs in the 9th. At any rate, over the next three and a half months this will be in force, so give it plenty of thought and consideration while the planets are lending you a helping hand. From September 4 - 8, the Sun will conjoin Saturn, highlighting the responsibility side and bringing it to your attention in some way. Another long-term aspect that has actually been out there for a quite a while, but will start fading the end of this month is a scratchy semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune. This aspect usually stirs up annoyances and nuisances more than anything else and has a little extra punch since the planets are in a configuration known as a Mutual Reception, where each is in the Sign the other rules. In other words, Uranus is in Pisces and Neptune is in Aquarius. The houses involved are your 10th House of career and reputation and your 11th of friends, organizations, hopes & wishes, and group activities. Both of these planets can be a bit flakey. Uranus loves to stir things up with unexpected events, disruptions, surprises and hassles in general while Neptune excels at handing out rose-colored glasses through which to view the world. In other words, he messes with your sense of reality which is a nice escape from time to time, but won't get you very far in the long-run. What this aspect could be doing is making it hard to be realistic about career or public image issues while interspersing a variety of distractions and possible even minor emergencies from your friends, and/or co-workers. Since hopes and wishes are also included in the 11th House, this could be indicative of your job not meeting your expectations, or all of the above. It's worth noting that not only will this go away the end of September, but on September 15 the Full Moon occurs right next to Uranus. A Full Moon usually indicates a culmination, so this is a nice tidy ending as well, though with it in conjunction with Uranus it might not be that tidy. There's a fairly good chance that something will happen that takes you by surprise, but essentially snaps you out of your dream-world and on a more solid path to where you want to go. It's particularly interesting to note that Sarah Palin's Natal Sun is currently conjoining Neptune, drawing some obviously heavy energy from this aspect in her direction. Furthermore, that Full Moon on the 15th will further energize this aspect with respect to her Natal Sun. A new phase of her life is undoubtedly unfolding and you can even see it astrologically. Needless to say, there's an element of opposition to these two influences with one encouraging a dream world while the other is trying to get you to take more responsibility. Again, this is when you need to look at your life, how this applies, and then do the math. There's quite a square dance going on involving your Sign Ruler, Venus, who'll be in a dos-à-dos with Mars from September 7 - 18. Each will square Jupiter in turn and Mercury is in there, too, likewise squaring Big Daddy over there in Capricorn. This trio of personal planets is occupying Libra, your 6th House of work, health and pets. Besides the apparent implications for male-female relations with a Mars-Venus conjunction, this pair can also provide some money luck along with some extra drive and energy in this part of your life. Mercury rules communications, so there is likely to be a lot of information exchanges going on as well. The collective square to Jupiter will introduce a conflict of some sort, but since Jupiter is usually benefic, it may simply show up in the form of an inflated or exaggerated claim of some sort. It could also be an ethical issue, relate to travel, litigation. or someone might get in your face with it mostly hot air. From September 10 - 16 the Sun will oppose Uranus. Since Uranus is famous for introducing disruptions and surprises, something unexpected is bound to come along. As you recall, Uranus is in your house of friends, coworkers, group associations, and hopes & wishes, so this will relate to these in some way and splash back on you personally in some way, perhaps trimming your ego a bit, if such is required. The second half of the month, both Mercury and Mars will trine Neptune. With Neptune in your 10th House of career and reputation and considering the possible quandary you've been in regarding that part of your life, this could provide some inspired ideas and the impetus to pursue them. Pay attention to your daydreams during this time and see if something grabs you in a stronger manner than usual, then pursue it accordingly. It may be just what you've been looking for, even if it's a bit undefined. The Sun will square Pluto from September 18 - 25. Pluto is in Sagittarius, your 8th House of sex, death and transformations. Pluto is quite at home in the 8th House since he rules the zodiacal 8th House, which happens to be Scorpio. The Sun will be in your 5th House of ego, romance, children, and entertainment until the 22nd, so for the first several days this aspect will be working at unearthing old, unresolved issues in this area for your attention and resolution. From the 22nd on, he'll be dredging up something related to the workplace or perhaps your health that you need to take care of. Around the last week of the month Mars and Venus will sextile Pluto, which implies that out of all the muck you may have to shovel, that you'll find an opportunity if you keep a positive attitude. Oftentimes the way we handle cleaning up a mess or a crisis brings more attention our way than all the good work we do, so be aware that people are watching, then make your behavior exemplary and you should see some rewards come from it all. It looks like some changes are on the way, though it will be up to you to take the correct turns when they present themselves. If you've been stuck in a rut, and no one does ruts better than a Fixed Sign like Taurus, it may finally be time to dig your way out and head on to sunnier pastures. Do some serious thinking, keep your eyes open, and be prepared to make some important decisions and this month should bring some new direction your way.
