The month ahead for Sagittarius contains lots of action pertaining to your friends, coworkers, as well as group and organizational associations with further assistance relating to any hopes and wishes you have hanging around out there. Something is probably going on regarding your career ambitions and homelife, as well.

For starters, there's a long-term aspect out there that starts early this month and will be in effect until mid-December. This involves the outer planets, Jupiter and Saturn, which both move rather slowly. These slow-movers are known as the social planets and comprise Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. As they slog through the various Signs, thus visiting the house it represents for each person, they tend to effect changes much like a glacier in that you don't really notice it on a daily basis, but when you look back over time in blocks of months or years you can definitely see that things are different. Saturn is in Virgo, your 10th House of career and reputation, and Jupiter is in Capricorn, you 2nd House of possessions, finances, and pleasures. These two planets are in a nice, harmonious trine, which makes for a positive blending of energies that you should find helpful.

Saturn will be imbuing your career ambitions with a renewed sense of responsibility and ambition. He an also institute delays, though this is more common when he's retrograde, which fortunately he's not. Especially be on the lookout for something between September 4 - 8 when the Sun conjoins Saturn. Usually, when you seek more responsibility at work someone is more than happy to give it to you and ultimately it should work for your good. This is even more likely with Jupiter in the equation as he usually has an expansive effect that is frequently observed as luck. Since Jupiter is in your 2nd House of finance, this could easily mean that your increased responsibilities will result in an increase in income, which certainly serves as good news for anyone I know. Thus, if these sound like benefits you'd like to pursue, I'd put everything you have into it. Just for the record, note where you are now and then measure things again around mid-December and see what has changed between now and then. Since Jupiter is also your Sign Ruler, he has even more punch in your life than those born under other Signs.

Another long-term aspect that's been out there most of the summer, but will fade away the end of this month, is a scratchy aspect between Uranus and Neptune known as a semi-sextile, which tends to stir up annoyances and nuisances of various kinds. Furthermore, Neptune excels at passing out rose-colored glasses that doesn't do a thing for our sense or realism, though a bit of escape through daydreaming can be a nice diversion, as long as you don't take it too seriously. Uranus, on the other hand, is the planet of sudden change, upsets, and unexpected events with a little rebellion thrown in for good measure. The House placements on these two puts Neptune in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. Not much harm done there, in that a touch of inspiration is usually welcome and can often get us going toward a better life. Uranus is in your 4th House of home environment, however, which probably means that your home life has been crazy for the past several months.

If it's been one thing after another all summer, whether it be unexpected repairs or a parade of company you hadn't planned for, no doubt you've had plenty of both. I suspect that the interaction between these two would thus result in several disruptions to any dreams you may have had toward getting your home in order. Or perhaps you're working on something else trying to get it off the ground and all the hassles have kept you from putting the time and thought into that you'd like. The Full Moon on the 15th is in close proximity to Uranus, so expect a major change of some sort within a few days one way or another. If your birthday falls between December 9 - 13, give or take a day or so, this will have even more punch since it will square your Natal Sun. The interference between these two planets should fade out toward the end of the month, though both planets will remain in their respective houses for quite a while to come.

I find it particularly interesting how idealistic Neptune was sitting right on Sarah Palin's Natal Sun when she was chosen as McCain's running mate. Its interaction with Uranus, planet of change, and Uranus' scheduled interaction with the Full Moon will undoubtedly have a heavy influence on her life in the months to come.

Between September 7 - 18, Mars and Venus will be conjoined in your 11th House of friends, coworkers, groups, as well as hopes and wishes with Mercury, the communication giant, in there as well. As these planets sweep through this part of your life, there are some interesting implications with Mars and Venus figuratively "getting it on" in your house of friends. Note the these two have numerous other connotations besides those of a sexual nature, however. In this context, Venus is likely to increase your charm and people's receptivity to you, which may or may not relate to members of the opposite sex. Mars gives us energy and drive, so if you are trying to accomplish something in this venue, these two can help you pull it off, especially since Mercury will help you communicate your intentions. During about this same time, each of the planets will square Jupiter. Since Jupiter is usually pretty benefic, you primarily need to make sure you're not over-confident or prone to exaggerate in a way that will cause trouble in some manner. Perhaps your ambitions will be more costly than expected as well. Keep an eye on the budget and proceed with these things in mind and you should do fine.

The latter half of the month both Mercury and Mars will trine Neptune. This should be good for some inspired thoughts regarding the group activities or your hopes and wishes, so put it to good use. Pluto also gets into the act toward the latter half of the month. From September 18 - 25 the Sun will square Pluto, which brings some more action to your 10th House of career and reputation. This isn't a very auspicious aspect and if you have any dirty little secrets you've been trying to sweep under the rug, they may make an unexpected appearance during that time. On the other hand, you may find out something about someone else you didn't know as well. The last week or so of the month Mars and Venus will sextile Pluto, implying that some opportunity or advantage will come to you as a result, so pay attention. During this time the Sun will slip from Virgo into Libra, dragging that Plutonian influence from your House of career and reputation to your 11th House of friends and coworkers. This implies an overlap between these two issues that you'll probably be able to see, though the transition could be so smooth as to not seem to be separate.

This looks like an active month in various ways. There is a lot of positive influence out there as far as your interactions with others are concerned on both the career and social level. If you have something in mind that you're trying to accomplish, this should work in your favor. The New Moon on September 29 also will herald something new with regard to your group activities or hopes and wishes, so the time should be right to go for whatever you're hoping to accomplish.
