This month Crabs can expect a lot of activity on the homefront. This is a venue that is near and dear to your heart, since you're one of the astrological signs that finds family of very high importance. No matter how mad they make you from time to time, you love them dearly and your life isn't complete without heavy involvement with them. You should have plenty to keep you busy this month. There are a couple long-term influences out there as well that are worth going over. The outer planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, take longer to move through the various signs than the ones closer to the Sun, meaning their influence sticks around in an astrological House longer, giving it more time to do some work. These are also known as the social planets, which have more effect as a rule on facilitating life changes. Even their presence in a House will be felt, but if it makes an aspect to another transiting planet or one of your Natal planets, it will be even stronger. For example, Jupiter is currently in Capricorn, which is opposite Cancer on the zodiac. This month his location in in opposition to your Natal Sun if you were born roughly between July 2-7. Fortunately, Jupiter is a benefic planet that generally brings good things our way. He expands and brings optimism, though sometimes this can be exaggerated or over-confidence can result. Capricorn is your 7th House of relationships, so you should be seeing an expansion in this area of your life. Remember that these include all one-on-ones, not just your significant other. Your close friends and family as well as business partners and the like are also included. Patronage is also part of the 7th House, so if you have your own business, this can have a favorable affect on that, though since it's opposing the Sun for some of you, this may cause some personal inconvenience or sacrifice to handle. Jupiter is also making a trine with Saturn. This will affect everyone, but be stronger for those born during that July 2 - 7 window. Saturn is in Virgo, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. While we often think of Jupiter as being jovial, no one ever accuses Saturn of such antics. He's a stern taskmaster who preaches structure, boundaries, discipline, responsibility and obligations and can also institute delays. With him hanging out in your House of thoughts and ideas, you have probably been more serious than usual and possibly even had more tendency than usual to feel depressed. A trine is a harmonious aspect, though, so Saturn's seriousness will blend nicely with Jupiter's optimism and stimulate new vistas in your relationships, perhaps developing them at a deeper level or expanding them to include more serious-minded people than before. This effect will be further strengthened between September 4 - 8 when the Sun conjoins Saturn, so take a serious look at whom you encounter at that time and consider how they may fit into you life in this way. Another long-term aspect that's been out there most of the summer is a scratchy aspect called a semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune. This one packs a little more punch than usual since these two are in a configuration known as Mutual Reception, where each planet is in the Sign the other rules, concentrating the synergy between them. Uranus, planet of sudden change, unexpected events, and rebellion is in your 9th House of higher education, long-distance travel, beliefs (including political and religious), and legal matters. If you've had any hassles in this part of your life, you can bet that Uranus had something to do with it. Neptune, the planet that inspires idealism and promotes our dreams, is in your 8th House of transformation, sex, and other people's resources. This is an interesting combination that has innumerable possibilities for how it will manifest in your life. Expect increased emphasis on these issues from September 10 - 16 when the Sun opposes Uranus. Both Mercury and Mars will trine Neptune that latter half of the month, bringing more discussion and thought to this venue on the inspirational side. Generally speaking, a typical effect would be for you to undergo a transformation due to a spiritual experience or insight of some description that then motivates you to take action over there in one of those 9th House areas, such as going back to school, taking a trip abroad, or even getting involved in a political campaign or something. It's particularly interesting to note that Sarah Palin's Natal Sun is currently conjoining Neptune, drawing some obviously heavy energy from this aspect in her direction. Furthermore, that Full Moon on the 15th will further energize this aspect with respect to her Natal Sun. A new phase of her life is undoubtedly unfolding and you can even see it astrologically. With all that said, let's move on to what's happening in your 4th House of home environment. Mars, Venus and Mercury are hanging out as house guests for the better part of the month. In fact, you might say that Mars and Venus are sharing a room, since they'll be conjoined from September 7 - 18. Besides the obvious implications with Mars and Venus astrologically "getting it on," remember that Mars brings us energy and drive and Venus usually brings something pleasant wherever she goes, including financial benefits. In this particular house this implies that shopping for home items should go well, but don't buy anything electronic or mechanical between September 24 - October 15 when Mercury is retrograde as it's extremely likely that it will be a proverbial lemon. At one time or another during their journey, this personal planet trio will square Jupiter, who's in your 7th House of relationships. This could be no more than a tendency to encounter philosophical differences of some description relative to your home, how it's run, or someone in it. With aggressive Mars in the fray, an argument is likely, but since most of the parties are not deeply malevolent it shouldn't be too serious. The New Moon on the 29th will introduce either something new or a new phase of an existing situation related to home in some way. The Sun will square Pluto from September 18 - 25. With Pluto in your 6th House of work, health, and pets, expect something hidden to come to light that could conceivably involve a power trip or covert activity. During about this same time, however, Mars and Venus will sextile Pluto, which will bring an opportunity your way as a result. Your best bet is to not overreact and let your work speak for itself. This should be an active and interesting month on the homefront with lots of interaction with family members and others around you various capacities. Take advantage of the last of those inspiration vibes that could give you a new vision for where you want to go in the future.
