This month expect a lot of prep-work as you move toward your Solar Return a.k.a. your birthday. The Sun, Mercury, and Mars will all be in your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, and inspiration for at least part of the month prior to moving into your 1st House of personality. There are some other activities going on as well in several other areas, such as your possessions, thoughts and ideas, your home environment, friends, and perhaps a surprise or two related to your children, lovers, or creativity.

There's an interesting configuration known as a Triangle of Potential in force most of the month that involves Saturn, Uranus and Jupiter that will have a long-term influence on you. Saturn has been n your 11th House of friends, groups, organizations, and hopes and wishes for just over a year. If there are any lessons you need to learn in this area relative to structure, responsibility, obligations, or structure you can bet that they've been coming your way during that time.

If there's a planet that's Saturn's antithesis, it's Uranus, who's currently slogging through your 5th House of creativity, ego, romance, children, self-expression, entertainment and speculation. Uranus is as unstable as Saturn is stable. He's the planet of sudden change, unexpected events, surprises, and rebellion. These two planets are by nature opposed and during October they're going to be in astrological opposition as well. Due to the odd combination of energy, there's no telling how this will play out. Saturn is over there trying to teach you stability and responsibility when it comes to your group interactions while Uranus is stirring things up in your house of fun. Of course since speculation is also included, this aspect could be useful if you're taking a good, hard look at your investments, considering how the stock market has been doing lately.

Jupiter is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, short journeys, and neighborhood issues. Since this gas giant tends to inflate and expand whatever he touches, there should be a lot going on for you in the mental department as well as lots of driving around and possibly dealing with neighbors, hopefully in a positive way. Jupiter is in positive aspect to both Saturn and Uranus and thus throwing a lot of thought energy toward solving that tug-o-war going on between them. Big ideas are all well and good, but make sure that they aren't over-inflated, involve over-confidence or too much optimism, which will be possible especially from October 3 - 11 when the Sun squares Jupiter. Nonetheless, whatever is going on between your groups and that 5th House stuff can be solved through some seriously thinking outside the box.

During the first week of the month Mars will sextile Pluto. This will have a considerable impact on Scorpios because Pluto is your Sign Ruler but before Pluto was discovered, Mars was, so they have a lot of synergy with your energy patterns. Mars will be in your 12th House of dreams, inspiration, spirituality, and hidden enemies while Pluto is in your 2nd House of possessions, finances, and pleasures. A sextile is usually a positive aspect that brings an opportunity, but when you get two malefic planets together sometimes this only means that their energy will have a lot of punch with the result not so pleasant for you. If you had a friend in junior high who was a tremendous amount of fun but somehow you always wound up in trouble, then you'll know what I mean. So keep your eye on this one.

After October 5th Mars will be in Scorpio, your 1st House of personality, adding to your personal aggression, but while he's in your 12th, hopefully he's stirring up some inspiration on how to attain your dreams and not causing some crap with any hidden enemies you may have. Now most everyone knows that there's not much hidden from a Scorpio, so this is less of a threat to you than some people. Nonetheless, be aware. Pluto, as you probably know, is what makes you tick and what helps you unearth all those secrets you're so fond of, and he's moving along at his usual glacial speed in your 2nd House of possessions and so forth. This could be turning up hidden problems with your material possessions or finances, but if this sextile works in your favor, this will give you some serious insights and inspiration in how to deal with all this. You will be in your element with this aspect like no other and I have no doubt you can make it work for you in some way. Nonetheless, watch your back, which I know you do intuitively, but I just wanted to make sure.

When the Sun trines Neptune from October 10- 18 you can expect some pleasant times on the home front. Inspiration and dreams have a lot of potential to be fulfilled and it will also give you plenty to think about regarding what you'd like to strive for in this part of your life. Fantasies will be free for the taking, so enjoy it and put together a pleasant dream for the future.

From October 19 - 28 the Sun will sextile Pluto which should draw attention once more to your possessions. If anything developed earlier in the month in this regard, this should help you resolve it. Venus will be in your house of possession after October 19, which should bring further good fortune to this area. When Mars is sextile Jupiter between October 22 - 31 it will be a very good time to put together some personal goals and thoughts regarding where you want to go in the coming year. You'll soon begin a new cycle and the better vision you have of where you want to go, the better your chances of getting there.
