This month there's a lot of action on the mental/emotional plane. Of interest as well are some long-term aspects that may not be that noticeable this month, but are quietly grinding away nonetheless. The outer planets such as Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, tend to be the drivers in the long-term plans of our life. They move slowly and deliberately, prodding us in the direction we're supposed to go to fulfill our destiny. Daily events, which tend to be influenced by the inner planets such as Mercury, Venus, Mars and also the Sun and Moon, are more noticeable, yet they provide another level of actions that contribute to that long-term plan. There are few isolated events in life; indeed, they all move us toward a great goal that is usually invisible, except for brief, unexpected glimpses that tip the hand of fate.

On the long-term side there is some significant action this month as Saturn opposes Uranus. Saturn and Uranus were conjoined in February, June, and October 1988 and if you can recall anything of significance that was going on in your life at that time, it will give you at least a hint toward what to expect this time. That encounter was in Sagittarius, which for Cancers is your 6th House of work, health and pets, and probably included experiences that drove your toward taking your job more seriously, taking better care of your health, or assuming more responsibility as the result of some disruptive or unexpected event. When all was said and done, whatever growth you achieved during that time remained and you didn't back-slide to your previous level of commitment. If nothing registers for that timeframe, perhaps because you're too young to have been concerned with such things, think back to 1999-2000, specifically July 18, 1999, November 14, 1999 and May 13, 2000. At that time these two planets were squared off and would have had a transformational effect on your beliefs and interaction with groups and organizations, or possibly even your circle of friends and associates. You may have also come to a new understanding of what your true hopes were for this lifetime.

For this cycle Saturn, which generally signifies responsibility, obligations, boundaries, authority, and delays, is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. This implies that your thought processes as well as interactions with your immediate neighborhood, is under some heavy influences these days. Crabs are usually not what you would call frivolous, yet your tend to focus on family values, nurturing others, and not necessarily getting involved in the heavier side of life other than throwing $5 toward pleas to Save the Children once a year or so. With Saturn so positioned, however, these type of issues are getting more attention than they did in the past.

Uranus, planet of change, disruptions, rebellion, and unexpected events, is in your 9th House of legal matters, higher education, beliefs (including politics and religions) and long-distance travel. These are the haughty subject that take you outside your figurative shell and aren't necessarily high on your priority list. This aspect, however, which will occur on November 4th with encores on February 5 and September 15, 2009, thanks to retrograde motion, will force you to think about these things and push you toward taking more responsibility in these matters, like it or not. Various inner planet aspects that we'll get to in a moment will nudge this along with a series of events helping you toward this long-term effect.

Another long-term influence this month involves Pluto. Pluto slipped into Capricorn last January for a brief visit, then went retrograde and moved back into Sagittarius to take care of some unfinished business. On November 27 he'll move back into Capricorn, this time to stay for a long time. Like until 2024, for those of you that may be into more specificity. Cappy is your polar sign and defines your 7th House of relationships. This comprises all one-on-one relationships, not only your significant other.

While the god of the Underworld was in your 6th House of work you probably went through a period of transformation regarding your work and possibly your health as well. Various hidden elements have been exhumed, teaching you hard but important lessons in trust and others' motivations. Undefined maladies or illnesses that defied a specific diagnosis could have plagued you as well. Rest assured that these could have well been the by-product of what was going on with your work or other stressful areas of your life. As Pluto moves into Capricorn, he'll be exposing the underbelly of your close relationships. This will include the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over the next 16 years you'll be learning lessons in this area that will mature and weather you such that you'll see relationships and various individuals in an entirely different light than you do today.

All that said as a backdrop, here's what the faster-moving planets are up to in November. From November 3 - 4, Venus will form a T-square right-smack between that Saturn-Uranus opposition. Being the friendly planet that she is as she transits your 6th House of work, Venus ill provide a fulcrum of consideration between those thoughts and beliefs being stirred up by Saturn and Uranus. Events at work are likely to be positive, and your health should be better than usual. If you health isn't too great, it could help you figure out what's wrong and find a solution so you can feel better. That long-term Saturn-Uranus opposition will set up an ongoing argument between your ideals and concrete thoughts based on your everyday life. Venus in your house of work and health will give your some leverage toward figuring that out.

On November 4, your ability to see beneath the surface to hidden meanings and motivations will be enhanced, particularly as it pertains to family members and the workplace. During this same timeframe discord with your children or lovelife will force a reality check that will drive this home even harder, though some opportunities will come along as well as a result of some major inspiration, if you're paying attention.

November 10 - 11 the Sun will be throwing some serious light toward that ongoing battle between your daily life and ideals, probably as a result of your children, lovers, or possibly your own creativity. Some opportunities could come from your relationships, for example, a close friend or relative may give you an idea that's worth its weight in gold, introduce you to a new love interest, or provide some inspiration for a creative endeavor. November 12 -13, your charm in the workplace will be in high gear and may create a situation where you're privy to some information of which you were previously unaware; use it wisely. Connections through friends at work could bring an unexpected opportunity regarding a long trip, a contract, long trip or simply have a strong influence on your beliefs in some way. If you've been deceived in any way or not been facing reality, during this same time this is likely to be corrected as well. You're emotional but have your fair-share of common sense, so process this in a way that will make you wiser in days to come.

The Full Moon on November 13 will signal the culmination of something related to your group activities, friends, or possibly your hopes and wishes. Something you've been hoping for may come to pass, a friend may move away, or a group association or project involving one may reach completion. November 16 - 17 expect a lot of mental activity. This will also be driving you toward whatever goals the Universe has in mind for that long-term Saturn - Uranus transit. It will employ your creativity, involve your children, relate to a romantic interest or simply involve your ego in some way or another. These thoughts could be pivotal, so don't dismiss them lightly. This is also a time when any delusions or failure to face reality is going to become apparent.

On November 21, whatever is on your mind these days will be influenced in a positive way by someone close to you. Pay attention to anything someone in this category says because the changes are good that it's important and will expand your relationship with this person in a very positive way. November 25 will bring another burst of mental energy, but this time it will be concentrated on your work and/or health. It's a good time to start a fitness program, so give it some thought. The New Moon on the 27th is in this same zodiacal neighborhood, so something new is developing relative to your health or job. Favorable opportunities for change regarding your close associations at work will occur around this same time.

Another huge burst of mental activity will come along on the 29th, likewise relative to your work or health, with more fruitful conversations with someone close to you helping you further define you stand on something important. December 1 should bring a lucky break of some description in the relationship area, either with someone close to you handing you a golden opportunity, initiating a new relationship that will prove very useful and rewarding, or even a financial break of some kind brought about by a close friend, relative or business associate.

All in all, this will probably seem like a busier month than it really is because you mind is going to be occupied with specific thoughts most of the time. Even if it seems like no more than mundane, unimportant matters at the time, they are playing into a larger theme that is moving you in a specific direction. Don't dismiss anything as entirely unimportant, and pay attention in particular to what's going on at work and with the important people in your life. Your belief system is undergoing some remodeling and this will be done one nail at a time through the events you'll experience over the next year. If something catches your thoughts and you think it's important, but don't know why, write it down for future reference because it probably is. In due time it will all make sense.
