The bulk of the action this month for Scorpios will be centered around your 9th House of beliefs, higher education, long distance travel, and legal matters. This will start, perhaps literally, with the New Moon in that neighborhood on July 2. This House covers a lot of territory, but in a nutshell is going to relate to your core beliefs and how you interact with society in general. It could also herald furthering your education, a trip abroad, or a contract of some type.

From July 1 - 10, there are a few things going on astrologically that are worth mentioning. For starters, Mercury will square Uranus. When this occurs, Mercury will be in Gemini, your 8th House of sex, death and regeneration, transformation, and other people's money. If these sound like things that are near and dear to your heart, you're absolutely correct since this is the House that Scorpio rules in the natural Zodiac. Uranus is in your 5th House of creativity, children, lovers, entertainment, and ego. As the planet of change and the unexpected, Uranus has been tripping through this neighborhood since March 2003, so if you think over some of the things that have occurred since then that relate to your 5th House, you'll get the idea of what he's been up to.

When busy Mercury throws a square in his direction, this is going to create a conflict of some sort between those two parts of your life that will more than likely come about when you discover some kind of information of that 8th House variety. Of course we all know that Scorpios excel at unearthing secrets, a very special gift from your Sign Ruler, Pluto. When you mix and match the selections, you can see it could easily mean a sex issue between you and any romantic interests, a resource issue related to your children such as child support, a startling revelation as a result of something like attending a concert or a trip to Vegas, or transformation due to a confrontation with your own ego. Venus will trine Uranus from July 3 - 9, however, which should bode well for all this, since Venus is in your 9th House of beliefs, long-distance travel and legal matters. Venus in a benefic planet, which should bring a positive change or surprise from this area and deliver it to your 5th House. The Sun will follow up with another trine between July 9 - 19, and Mercury from July 20 - 26, both of which should continue to bring good news your way.

Between July 1 - 10, Mars will trine Pluto, which will be of particular interest since Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio with Pluto the modern ruler, meaning these resonate well with Scorpio energy. Mars is currently transiting your 11th House of groups, associations, friends, coworkers, hopes and wishes and throwing his drive and energy in that direction. Pluto is in Sagittarius, your 2nd House, which relates to your possessions, finances, and pleasures. If you seem to remember that Pluto moved into Capricorn a few months back, you're absolutely correct, but he's returned to Sagittarius due to retrograde motion. This means that you have one final chance to take care of any unfinished business related to this part of your life, and if I know Scorpios, this has a high probability of being your finances. The good news with this aspect is that it's a trine. If it were a square or opposition, there'd be a lot less to celebrate. However, in this case, it looks like something fortunate is going to spring forth from your house of groups and friends that will be beneficial to your possessions or finances. Maybe someone will give you something of value, maybe a group or organization will buy something from you, including your services if you're in business for yourself, or maybe you'll benefit in some other way from your group associations that will bring you great pleasure, though I won't even go there for a Scorpio.

There is one caveat with this aspect, however, and that is that Saturn is also involved. Saturn reminds us of our responsibilities and obligations, often represents authority figures or your father, and is the master of bounds and limitations. While in your 11th House, he could be even doing things like bringing on less than enchanting encounters with your local home owner association. The possibilities are vast, but I'm sure you'll be able to think of some area in your group associations where you've been stumbling over walls and restrictions. Mars in that same area, however, will bring a lot of energy to the party, especially for Scorpios. Mars and Saturn will be in conjunction between July 3 - 18, meaning their energies will be blending in a powerful way. Since Saturn can also motivate ambition, this combined with Mars' drive and energy could get a lot accomplished in this area, and in trine to Pluto, it could easily be associated with financial rewards. Another note on that Mars - Saturn coupling, especially for Scorpios born between October 24 to November 6, entails the fact that they will form a sextile with your Natal Sun somewhere along the way, presenting even more opportunities for you to benefit in a financial manner.

From July 14 - 20 the Sun will oppose Jupiter who's currently in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. Oppositions aren't usually friendly, but if your birthday falls between November 6 - 15 you have the power to manipulate this energy to your advantage since it will create an aspect known as a Triangle of Potential with your Natal Sun. In other words, Jupiter will sextile your Sun, which usually indicates an opportunity, and the transiting Sun will throw a nice, harmonious trine to yours. Your actions will determine how this energy can be used, and could play out as a positive outcome to a clash between your ideas and beliefs. Mercury will follow the Sun in opposing Jupiter between July 18 - 22, giving you the chance to communicate your ideas in a favorable way. Mars will bring some additional help between July 21 - 31 when he trines Jupiter, which could translate as some help from your friends. The Full Moon on the 18th will probably play a part, as well, and help bring it all to a successful culmination.

Venus will oppose Neptune between July 25 - August 5, which will create a tug-o-war of some description between home and your career. Venus will enter Leo, your 10th House of career and reputation, on July 12, which should mean you'll be looked upon very favorably as far as your career and reputation are concerned. Also note that the Sun enters Leo on the 22nd and Mercury on the 26th, so things are starting to heat up in that area with probably some interesting happenings in that area come August. Meanwhile, the opposition to Neptune in your 4th House of home environment could throw a bit of idealism you way that might make you wonder a bit about those career opportunities. If your birthday falls between November 6 - 15 this will create a T-square with your Natal Sun, putting you right in the middle between these two issues. Again, it will be up to you how you deal with it, but it will be a much more difficult choice compared to how you facilitated that Jupiter - Sun opposition since the aspects to your Sun will be unfriendly squares.

All in all, this will be a busy and possibly hectic month. There's a lot going on at home, in your career, and possibly amongst your beliefs or even in the legal arena. Your children, either literally or your creative efforts, will be involved in a variety of ways as well. Most of the aspects out there are favorable, however, so a positive outcome is likely to result. The main thing you need to do is not over-react to any single occurrence, but maintain as much mental and emotional control as you can muster so you can use the various energies in an advantageous way.
