Long-term Aspects There are three major themes out there right now that you need to keep in the back of your mind as daily occurrences come along that play into them. They may seem isolated at the time, but if you think about them they're probably a scene or chapter in the big picture. Thinking on this level helps you to keep things in their proper perspective and learn the lessons the Universe has in mind for you at this time in your life. First of all, since the people in your life are so important to you, you may have already noticed that Pluto has moved into your 7th House of relationships. Pluto is all about death and rebirth so if there's anything that's old and worn out that you need to eliminate from your life, Pluto is going to call your attention to it. Expect to see the people in your life at a much deeper level than you have in the past. Note that "relationships" in this context include those with whom you have a one-on-one relationship, such as close friends and relatives, your significant other, most professional such as your doctor, and, if you're in business for yourself, your cliental. This is also the time for housecleaning regarding the past. If there are unresolved issues out there, now is the time to take care of business and vacuum out all that dust you've been sweeping under the rug over the years. Since he moves so slowly, he's going to be doing this for a long time, i.e. until November 2024. The effects will be most dramatic when he's opposing your Natal Sun which this month means those of you with birthdays within a day or so one way or another of July 24. Remember that this is about healing and regeneration, not loss. Now is when you'll be assessing what's worth keeping and what isn't. Next is that Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse coming up on February 9 in your 2nd House of finance, possessions, and pleasures. This is the companion to the Solar Eclipse that occurred on January 26 in Aquarius, your 8th House of sex, death, transformations, and other people's resources. You'll notice that this reinforces the Pluto transit, since it occurred in your 8th House of deep, personal change. These are the experiences and lessons that change us at a very deep level, after which we're never quite the same. These don't have to be dramatic, though of course sometimes they are. Often they're simply the result of one of those "Aha!" moments that we come upon from time to time as we synthesize numerous events or happenings in our lives. The Solar Eclipse ordinarily triggers events along these lines, then the Lunar Eclipse comes along and drives it home at the emotional level. Considering its house placement, this implies that it's time to give some serious thought and remodeling to your financial picture. The generic expectations of this eclipse indicate that it's a gentle influence that will shift your associations to different groups due to either travel or new ideas. Deepening your current commitment to a relationship is another possibility. Both of these could easily fit into the transformation scenario or conceivably invoke it. Last but far from least is that opposition in effect until mid-March involving Saturn and Uranus. There's a lot of mental activity involved with this one that is pushing you toward changing some of your core beliefs. Other areas affected could be any unresolved legal matters, going back to school, long distance travel or similarly, relocation. Saturn is all about responsibility, obligations, boundaries, structure and authority and he's currently hanging out in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. So, to say that Saturnian themes will be present in your thoughts goes without saying. Uranus, on the other hand, is all about abrupt change, rebellion, freedom, and the unconventional and he's sitting over there in your 9th House and presiding over those legal matters and so forth mentioned earlier. Thus, your thoughts are likely to be on the "retain and strengthen the status quo" theme while other events are pushing you toward some major change, perhaps going back to school or transferring to another city. Complicating all this is the fact that Saturn is retrograde. This is actually more in synch with Uranus than you may think since it will be about restructuring something, largely in your attitude. You may not even know what this might be at this time, but come May 16 it should become apparent. At that time you should have a better idea of what course of action you should pursue and what lesson was being impressed upon your unconscious. Uranus will only be in the game until mid-March as far as working directly with Saturn is concerned. This should bring about various events or disruptions that provide food for thought regarding a new set of core beliefs that will lead you in a new direction. The Universe is an all-wise tutor who is leading and guiding you in the direction you should pursue to fulfill your life's purpose. You'd do well to pay attention and respond accordingly. Short Term Aspects The daily aspects are going to be the soloists playing against the background music provided by those long-term aspects. Here is some of what you can expect to happen during February. The Sun is in Aquarius, your 8th House of transformations, until February 18, when he moves into Pisces. While he's in Aquarius he'll be highlighting things that will move you toward that transformation noted earlier. Jupiter is already there and will be adding further influence toward expansion in this part of your life. Mars moves into Aquarius on February 4th, bringing more energy and drive for change. This is a not a time when you want to take any unnecessary risks or be careless since this placement can predispose you to accidents or injuries, so proceed with caution. Neptune is also in Aquarius, and as another slow mover, he's been there for a long time. He can bring marvelous inspiration and new insights to us, but they're seldom based in reality. He also tends to dissolve what he contacts. Mercury joins this planetary convention on the 14th, which will further enhance the thought process and data gathering as you go through some sort of major change. Prior to that time, he'll be in your 7th House of relationships, which should help with initiating conversations or other types of dialogs regarding Pluto's work in revamping your relationships. I normally don't mention the asteroid, Chiron, in these monthly horoscopes, but it's worth mentioning that he's also in Aquarius for the entire month. Chiron, the wounded healer, helps us to use our pain in a positive manner, to process our hurts and then grow beyond them so we can help others. This implies that much of this transformational process will involve helping you resolve old issues and shed any baggage that's been cluttering up your landscape. As a Water Sign, you're deeply emotional and thus very subject to being hurt. Chiron is thus partnering with you at this time to help you get past old hurts and move forward. The first week of the month an annoyance of some sort will get your attention that will give you something to think about. Venus moves into your 10th House of career, reputation, and public image on the 3rd, which will do favorable things for this part of your life. You'll be perceived favorably in this part of your life and new opportunities are likely. This is another area where relationships play a big part, and this first week of February you may be giving some of them deep consideration. If you're pursuing a career path and someone is holding you back or causing you to rethink your choice, pay attention. The information they're providing may not be accurate or may be openly deceptive. Your discernment will be heightened at this time, so if this is the case you should be on it like a duck on a June bug. This will motivate you to reconsider your past choices and define an alternate path. Something disruptive or unexpected will come along a day or so later, providing more food for thought. Right about that same time that Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse is going to occur in your 2nd House. Something about your finances, how you earn a living, your personal values, or find comfort is trying to get your attention at the emotional level. On the 11th look out for something annoying to contribute to your mental fodder relative to those transformation activities with another surprise in that area around the 12th. On the 14th Mercury entered Aquarius, helping focus your thoughts more clearly on what's going on in your life. The Sun and Neptune form a conjunction that day as well, which could easily take your to another plane of thought and perception that will further assist you in your quest. Any philosophical inclinations you may have as a result are going to clash with some of your career goals or perhaps your public image, however. Insights into some of those relationships issues will also surface about that same time. On or around the 16th a favorable opportunity relative to your career is in work. Remember that your career isn't necessarily the same as your day job. If you don't put your heart and soul into you day job but truly aspire to do something else that will contain more personal meaning, then they are definitely not the same. On the 17th Mars will be in conjunction with Jupiter, both in your 8th House. I would be very surprised if something doesn't get your attention in no uncertain terms at that time. Also remember what I said about being careful and proceeding with caution. This aspect could be quite good or quite bad, so bear that in mind. The Sun goes into Pisces on the 18th, highlighting all that 9th House core belief, higher education, relocation stuff. That same day an opportunity to pursue your career aspirations will come your way so pay attention. Your responsibilities may throw a speed bump in there, however, so don't forget to read the warning signs along the path. On the 20th expect another annoyance of some sort, even if it's simply someone throwing some negativity your way. The opportunity to work on a relationship, possibly a long-distance one, is out there on the 21st, so this may be a favorable time to pursue one of those festering issues. On the 24th Mercury will be in conjunction with Jupiter, which should expand your horizons significantly and move you another step closer to that transformation. The New Moon on the 25th in Pisces, your 9th House, further indicates something new is coming your way regarding your core beliefs, higher education, relocation or perhaps something in the legal arena, which includes contracts, such as buying or selling a house or other major purchase or transaction. More great ideas pertaining to opportunities in your career or life's work are out there on that day as well. These could come through a relationship or perhaps a financial break. Money is tight these days, but you never know. Someone you're close to is going to give you some flack on the 27th, but this may simple be the fuel you need to see this person for who s/he really is; remember you're supposed to be cleaning out the figurative garage as far as old relationships are concerned. You know what a pack-rat you are and it's time to get rid of some of the people you're clinging to in typical crab fashion that really aren't doing you any good whatsoever. This may call for a change in plans or some description, but don't hesitate to give it strong consideration as it is likely to be in your best interest. This is a very significant time for you during which you are undergoing many deep personal changes. These will include adding and subtracting some people in your life and perhaps something as dramatic as a major move or shift in your beliefs and associations. It's important for you to maintain an open mind and not be too prone to cling to the past. Particularly if you're not especially happy with your life right now, find the courage to leave it behind if you seriously want things to be better in the future.
