Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Full Moon is another eclipse, further reinforcing the two we had last month.  This one is in the same Saros series family, 11-South, whose general theme is one of rapid reforms, finding innovative solutions to existing problems, and the sudden, possibly forceful, removal of any obstacles in our way, probably occurring without any intervention on our part.  This one occurs in your 12th House of dreams, inspiration, spirituality, confinement, institutions, and hidden enemies.  Pisces rules the zodiacal 12th House so this will reinforce and strengthen various elements of your inherent nature.  The aspects accompanying the eclipse will further color its influence.  That stellium comprising Jupiter; your Sign Ruler, Neptune; and the asteroid, Chiron, is still out there is tight conjunction with all three of them retrograde

I'm still eyeing this cluster with a jaundiced eye and taking notes of its effects.  Personally, I don't trust it, though I'm sure there is something positive about it, though that will depend on how it hits your personal Natal Chart.  I'm been harping on this trio for a couple of months now, but my instincts tell me it's significant.  This is undoubtedly true for you Fishies because your Sign Ruler is involved and that is one of the elements that rouses my suspicions.  Neptune can be very inspiring and take us to wonderful places, none of which are real.  This is not necessarily a bad thing because an occasional excursion to Fantasyland is not a bad thing.  However, you need to be aware of it when you've stepped into that realm which includes such things as dreams and visions.  Think of it as encompassing as much reality as a good movie; even if it's based on truth, it's embellished at the director's whim, and can disappear at any moment if the projector goes out.  Capiche?

Add Jupiter, who expands what he touches, and you inflate it further.  However, Jupiter is retrograde, which usually directs his influence toward ethics in some way.  Blending this with Neptune gives you illusions about ethics or the lack thereof.  Remember that your 12th House includes institutions, confinement, and hidden enemies.  If any of this is ringing a bell for you take note and be cautious.  Of course having Chiron in there is another red flag since he is usually involved with injuries of all varieties, whether they're physical, mental, emotional, financial, or what-have-you.  If he's retrograde in your birth chart it usually means that you'll have a harder time getting past the various injuries you encounter in life; retrograde in transit would thus probably involve either ruminating on past hurts or incurring new ones that are difficult to resolve.  It could also be about helping someone else get past a hurt or injury or conceivably someone helping you.  But see what I mean?  This is not exactly a happy-let's-go-party-life-is-awesome type aspect.  On the mundane scene he was responsible for that swine flu pandemic scare a few months ago and will probably influence its return this winter.  Thus I don't think it's friendly and since it's in your 12th, I'd be careful.  There's something to learn from it that will benefit you in some way, but proceed with caution.

This eclipse also includes a Triangle of Potential, which should have a rather positive spin.  It comprises Venus, Pluto and Mercury at the apex.  Venus is in your 5th House of ego, children, romance, creativity, entertainment and speculation and is sextile Mercury in your 7th House of relationships.  So the good news is that this one actually IS one of those happy-let's-go-party-life-is-awesome type aspects.  Venus is opposing Pluto, however, though Pluto isn't necessarily bad.  He tends to dig up old baggage so it can be resolved or expose secrets or move you toward a transformation which is probably going to relate to your 11th House of friends, group associations, any organizations you're affiliated with, your coworkers or perhaps your goals and aspirations.  If you have a romantic relationship going, see if it opposes something in your 11th House.  Of course if you're involved with someone it can distract you from those other things and create a tug-o-war, but this is where Mercury comes in as a mediating factor to ultimately turn it all to your advantage and come out smelling like a rose.

Another aspect is a trine between the eclipse Moon and Mars, who's in your 4th House of home environment.  This is also a favorable aspect that should bring a lot of energy to your home environment.  The Moon is in your 12th House as you recall, but in this case it's drawing from the positive elements so you can trust this one more compared to that sneaky stellium.  Mars is also squaring Saturn and those two bad boys bear watching.  Saturn is in your 7th House of relationships, bringing a stronger sense of responsibility to that venue, but that square to Saturn implies a conflict of some sort between that and your home environment.  I'll leave that one to you to figure out for yourself; I'm sure something will come to mind.  Remember that this is all associated with the eclipse and that its effects can manifest before it occurs as well as sometime after, even on the order of months.  It sets things in motion and is often more noticeable in retrospect a few months later as the events mature.  Thus, file it away in the back of your mind and keep an eye out.

The New Moon on August 20 is loaded with aspects that will bring something into your life.  This may not be as strong of an influence as the eclipse, but there is still a lot going on and too many aspects to not be significant.  First of all, it comes with three Triangles of Potential, or ToPs.  As noted earlier, these represent a tug-o-war of some sort that has a mediating factor to resolve it, so their ultimate outcome should be positive, or at least have an inherent solution.  Two of these involve the New Moon itself, which is in your 6th House of work, health, and pets.  Work can be your day job or anything else you do that's tangible such as other projects you're putting together.  These are things that keep you busy, but typically produce something, in other words something you do but don't necessarily get paid for.  Thus, something new is coming your way related to work.

The first ToP involves the Moon, your Sign Ruler, Neptune, and Mars.  I see this as some inspiration for starting a new project at home, with Mars the key, implying to quit thinking about it and make it so.  The second ToP involves the Moon, Pluto and Mars, with the Moon the mediator.  Pluto and Mars are in a somewhat wide, out-of-sign opposition that is pitting something in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, and goals against that energy stirring things up at home.  The New Moon is saying it's time for something new, so whatever is holding you back needs to be acknowledged and resolved so you can go forward.

The last ToP involves Saturn, Mercury, Uranus and Venus.  Saturn and Mercury as noted earlier are in your 7th House of relationships and they're opposing Uranus, planet of change, surprise events, rebellion and the unexpected who's in your 1st House of personality.  This implies you're resisting change that involves more responsibility in one or more relationships.  Remember that "relationships" in an astrological context include not only your significant other but close friends and relatives, business partners, and anyone with whom you have a one-on-one relationship, including your cliental if you're in business for yourself.  The mediator is nice, friendly Venus, however, in your 5th House of romance and creativity as well as entertainment, speculation and self-expression.  The 5th is generally a rather friendly House so if this is the answer, everything should come out quite nicely.

There's also a T-Square that includes Saturn, Mercury, Uranus and Mars.  T-Squares are less friendly and don't come with a canned solution like a ToP.  You're going to have to figure this one out by yourself as far as how to resolve it.  It involves those relationship responsibilities, that personal change and whatever is going on with respect to home.  Obviously this overlaps quite heavily with the other things going on, which involves a lot of change and needed adjustments and/or course changes.  You life is shifting in a slightly different direction so don't cling to the past.  As a Mutable Sign this should come easily, unless you have some strong Fixed influences in your Natal or Progressed Chart holding you back, such as a Taurus ascendant or Moon.

The final aspect pattern to consider that may just tie everything together is a yod, a double one, actually, that is pointing toward that suspicious stellium comprising Neptune, Chiron, and Jupiter at the eye.  This implies to me that there is a positive influence in there somewhere that could involve an expansion of your spiritual landscape that may even process some past hurts to a new level.  The planets at the base are an encore of Venus, Saturn and Mercury, pulling back that romantic element, though it could also have something to do with your children, if they are more applicable than a romance.  Responsibility to one or more relationships, probably with your children or a lover, and understanding how that needs to be accomplished is thus the basis, with finding inspiration and enlightenment where it is trying to take you.

Short-term Aspects

August 1 - 3:   A transformation between the time you spend with your friends or an organization versus your children, a lover, or some other means of entertainment is in-work with information regarding a close relationship in the middle, helping you figure out which way to go.

August 5:  The Full Moon/lunar eclipse occurs on this date as described above.

August 7:  Communications with your children or potential lover are favored so if you have something to talk about with someone in this category, go for it now.  On the other hand if you have a creative project you're working on, there should be a lot of related ideas coming your way.

August 10:  Relationship responsibilities may interfere with something you're trying to get done at home or create a conflict there.  You are not likely to be able to have your cake and eat it, too.

August 13:  Inspiration on how to proceed with whatever is going on at home is available, so find some quiet time today to ponder it.

August 14:  Something at or about your work is going to get your attention that has something to do with either expanding it or the ethics of the situation.  Let your conscience be your guide.

August 17:  A busy astrological day where the planets are getting in position for that New Moon in a few days.  Opportunities to make some progress on that home situation are there as well as an influx of ideas relative to those relationship responsibilities vying for attention.  If you've been unrealistic, today is a good one to look at it without the rose-colored glasses, with a course change implied based on new information regarding that relationship.  Look for inspiration or past dreams for direction related to moving forward with your plans for your home environment.

August 18:  A Catch-22 or change of direction related to work and your personal life are likely.  Something unexpected is likely to arise related to home as well.

August 19:  Meeting your responsibilities to your children or lover will bring positive results today at a deep and satisfying level and shift you in a slightly different direction.

August 20:  New Moon today as described above.

August 21 - 23:  Something will surprise you today regarding one or more relationships.  The Sun goes into your house of relationships on the 22nd, bringing more light and emphasis to that part of your life which will help you see things more clearly.  Focus on your dreams for some inspiration as well.  Your feelings are likely to surprise you and possibly even bring a transformation.

August 25:  Mercury goes into Libra, your 8th House of transformations, reinforcing the happenings of the past few days.  Mars goes into Cancer, your 5th House of children and romance, bringing energy and direction to that part of your life as well.  This may not be comfortable as you consider the various implications, but be as objective as you can while also listening to your heart.

August 26:  Thoughts, ideas and data are coming your way and reinforcing that transformation that may involve your goals.  It may also be about your circle of friends or an organization you're involved with.  There's a conflict of some sort buried in it all that you'll need to resolve.  Work and what you really want to accomplish will be a factor as well.  A change of direction will work in your favor, however, so be open-minded.

August 28:  Ideas coming your way that are related to your work will present new opportunities, but probably involve funding or investors in some way.  You may have to change your thinking in some way to get there, however, though this is not necessarily a bad thing.  Give it serious thought.
