The astrological concert this month for Libras lies primarily in your 1st House of personality with background music provided by your children, work, homelife, and spiritual center. There are two long-term aspects out there involving the slower-moving outer planets that are responsible for the latter. Also known as the social planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move slowly and deliberately through the Zodiac, effecting changes to you life that often unfold so slowly as to be hardly noticeable except at certain key times, such as, for example, when they encounter the same placement or form an aspect to one of the significant areas of your Natal Chart such as a planet or House cusp. One such aspect that begins this month and will last until mid-December is a trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Saturn is currently traversing Virgo, your 12th House of inspiration, dreams, spirituality, and unfortunately, hidden enemies. Saturn is a stern task-master who preaches such things as discipline, structure, and responsibility as well as often instituting delays, particularly when he's retrograde, which fortunately this month he's not. During this transit he'll be making you think seriously about what feeds your soul. If you have been neglecting this important part of your life, he'll be reminding you of such and offering you glimpses of where you may find such to remind you of what you're missing. Soul-trying experiences are also possible, but this month the lack of major hard aspects should preclude that sort of thing. Another thing to be grateful for, no doubt. Jupiter is over there in Capricorn, your 4th House of home environment. Saturn rules Capricorn, giving a bit more seriousness to this aspect, and Jupiter is all about expansion, particularly of your beliefs. It's obviously not rocket science to determine that this harmonious link via a trine between these two planets and resident houses is intended for you to bring a higher level of spirituality to your home life. This could also relate to pursuing some of your dreams for this environment. In this busy and hectic world we often neglect this area of our life, which deserves as least as much attention and work as any other since it definitely spills over into them, whether we recognize it or not. Dreaming of something we want inevitably precedes its reality and if we don't have a vision for where we're going, we're no more likely to get there than we are arriving in a destination city without getting on the correct road or flight. The next few months you'll have some astrological assistance in getting this part of you life on track and it offers many rewards for the doing. Take advantage of it while it lasts. Another long-term aspect that will fade out by the end of this month is an itchy aspect known as a semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune. This type of aspect tends to stir up various annoyances and nuisances which, in this case, will center around your 6th House of work, health, and pets where Uranus is hanging out, and your 5th House of creativity, children, romance, ego, entertainment and speculation. Obviously in the 5th there is a target-rich environment for incidents or issues that will stir things up with your work or health. This aspect has been in force for most of the summer and will gradually dissipate the end of this month. Thus, this is another one that has been working on you for quite a while. The Full Moon on the 15th is in close proximity to Uranus, planet of disruptions, change, unexpected events, and innovation, so will no doubt signal the culmination of something in one of these 6th House areas, such as your job or health. If there's something going on with your health, you need to deal with it, and if it's something going on at work that's getting on your last nerve, then you need to deal with that as well before it affects your health. This or another situation will be highlighted between September 10 - 16 when the Sun opposes Uranus, right around the time of the Full Moon. I know first hand that if we don't find satisfaction and joy in our work that it erodes our health over time. Maybe it doesn't provide enough of a creative outlet, interferes with your love life or interaction with your children, or precludes enjoying yourself due to excessive hours or mental demands. This aspect is offering you a helping hand to get this figured out with an extra boost between September 4 - 8 when the Sun conjoins Saturn. One thing I find very interesting about this aspect is the fact that on the day that they announced that Sarah Palin would be McCain's running mate that idealistic Neptune was conjunct her Natal Sun. Ms. Palin definitely has some interesting and challenging times ahead and astrological this one, seemingly small, aspect fits quite nicely. So onward and upward to all that activity going on in your 1st House of personality. Any of these other changes that you need or should facilitate will be driven by who and what you are. If you don't know the answer to that particular question, then these personal planets passing through Libra this month should help you figure a few things out. Your Sign Ruler, Venus, is one of them, and for most of the time, i.e. from September 7 - 18, she'll be linked up with energetic Mars. Mars behaves himself fairly well in Libra, but will still throw some drive and energy in this direction. With Venus in your 1st House you'll project very favorably and even your appearance will be enhanced. If there is something you want to pursue that requires the assistance of others, now is the time to talk to them as you should be well-received, especially with Mercury, master of communications, there as well. At one time or another during the first ten days or so of the month, each of these planets will square mighty Jupiter over there in your 4th House of home environment. Jupiter is a generally benefic planet who has the reputation of bringing us luck. In a hard aspect like a square, he may tend us toward over-confidence or exaggeration, so keep an eye on that, if applicable. He also stimulates our beliefs, particularly toward ethical issues. Libras are pretty much known for their fairness and seldom put themselves before others for the sake of peace. Thus, during this time of growth, even if it generates a conflict of some sort, remember that your happiness is just as important as anyone else's and you have a right to express yourself and your needs. If the people at home have been taking you for granted, now is the time to speak up and rectify the situation while your zodiacal buddies are there to assist you. Both Mercury and Mars will trine Neptune late in the month. This should further stimulate some inspired thoughts that should help you figure something out that will work by month's end. The New Moon on the 29th, also in your 1st House, will undoubtedly herald something new. If you're a September Libra this will have an even more powerful effect since it will be reflected in your Solar Return, which maps out what's on the agenda for the coming year. From September 18 - 25, the Sun will square Pluto. During this time the Sun will start out in your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, and inspiration and then move into your 1st House of personality on the 22nd. The 12th also includes hidden enemies, those people who undermine you without your knowledge, who may pretend to be your friend. Pluto excels at bringing out hidden information and he's in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. This can be a very useful placement for some deep, comprehensive, all-encompassing ideas. If you have a neighbor who's been causing any trouble, this is likely to come out during this time, as well. If, perchance, you're planning a short trip, it could indicate a problem in some area that you weren't previously aware of. While in the long run this is useful, it will cause a bit of inconvenience at the time. For example, the water pump in your car might be just waiting for you to get on I-10 before deciding to go out. Also note the Mercury will be retrograde from September 24 - October 15, and this is a time when electronic and mechanical items tend to malfunction. Data transmissions of all sorts also frequently crater. Whatever you do, don't buy something new of an electronic or mechanical nature during this time or it will forever behave like a lemon. Positive activities during this time include reworking, replanning, editing, and reviewing, but making forward progress is usually an exercise in futility. This will be a busy and significant month for you. Be sure to make plenty of time for yourself so you have the time and environment to think through what's going on in your personal life, what you like, and what you want to change.
