This month is going to be a busy one for Leos, yet when all is said and done, most of the action is going to be of the mental variety due to that parade of planets trooping through your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys with something new expected with the New Moon on September 29. Work and relationships will come into play as well along with a reminder to take care of business regarding something you've kept swept under the rug. For starters, there's a long-term aspect out there involving the outer planets that went into affect recently and will last until mid-December. Known as the social planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto may move slowly, but that gives them more time to effect major changes in your life, one day at a time. These changes evolve slowly and naturally enough that we seldom give credit where credit is due, but would the truth be known, they have a major influence on us. One of the current aspects is a nice, harmonious trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter is generally known as benefic as he expands whatever he touches. The worst he does as a rule is make us prone to exaggeration or over-confidence. As a resident these days of Capricorn, your 6th House of work, health and pets, he has been working behind the scenes to bring more work of a positive nature your way and encourage your to take care of your health. You may even have too much enthusiasm for these things, for example fitness, to the exclusion of other areas of your life. On top of everything else, while in Capricorn, these inclinations will be further strengthened by an influx of discipline and sense of authority that will make you tend toward preaching your newly found commitment to these areas to those around you. Leos are natural leaders, so this strengthens this even more. While you could achieve incredible goals such as getting your home owner association to put in a day spa, you may also be a considerable annoyance to those who don't see things with the same fervor that you do. Saturn is currently in Virgo, your 2nd House of finances, possessions, and pleasures. Saturn, who rules Capricorn, bring many of the same urgings for structure, boundary setting, and unfortunately, delays, though these are most noticeable when he's retrograde, which fortunately he's not; he's saving that for a New Year's Eve present. What a way to start the new year. But I digress. While Saturn is hanging out in this part of your life he will be tutoring you in how to handle your finances, take proper responsibility for them, and smack you upside the head as required until you do. If you haven't already noticed some stern lessons along these lines, then you've either got everything in perfect control and don't require any improvement or you're asleep at the wheel. The Virgo spin to all this will be an eye for detail and being more meticulous, certainly none of which is a bad thing. When you put Jupiter and Saturn together in a nice harmonious trine so that these energies work together, the result should be very positive. Work and finances certainly tie together nicely, and the motivation and confidence these two generate should create a winning combination. Your task is to accept these lessons, examine them, admit your faults, then move forward in a positive direction. Expect an extra boost in this direction, if you require one, between September 4 - 8 when the Sun conjoins Saturn. Another long-term aspect that has been out there all summer, but will fade away by the end of September is an itchy semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune. Semi-sextiles tend to stir up annoyances and nuisances, so if you've seen plenty of them the past few months, these are probably your culprits. Uranus, planet of sudden change, disruptions, and surprises, is in Pisces, your 8th House of transformation, sex, death & regeneration, implying that as hectic as your life has been the past several months, it's having a deep and lasting effect on how you see the world. Neptune, who does an excellent job of handing out rose-colored glasses, is in Aquarius. This aspect is even stronger because these two planets are in a configuration known as Mutual Reception where each on is in the sign the other rules, concentrating the energy. Thus, vibes of social change, idealism, rebellion, and so forth have been out there all summer, which has been very apropos for an election year. In fact, Sarah Palin's Natal Sun has Neptune sitting right on it, tying this aspect into her life in a very obvious way. For Leos, Neptune is in your 7th House of relationships, which will incline you toward putting on those rose-colored glasses whenever you look at your relationships. This, of course, has a good side and a bad side. Striving for the ideal is a noble aspiration, but failing to pay attention to reality has its downfalls. When you synthesize the effect of this aspect from Leos knothole, you get the potential for some significant experiences in your relationships that will influence you so deeply that they have a transformation effect that could come on suddenly or unexpectedly. The Full Moon on September 15, which is in close proximity to Uranus, fires up this aspect even further with the culmination of something that's been developing all summer. In fact, you can expect just about anything in this area to happen from September 10 - 16 when the Sun opposes Uranus. The last half of the month, Mercury and Mars will trine Neptune. If you need an infusions of some inspiration and energy for one or more of your relationships, then this should be useful for that. This may be just what you need to finalize what Neptune and Uranus have been trying to accomplish in your life this summer. The action in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys involved the personal planets of Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Venus and Mars will be in a bear hug from September 7 - 18, which should give you a lot of positive energy in this part of your life. If you have a good idea you want to develop, now is the time, and Mercury, the communication master, is there to assist, as well. This also applies to communicating with neighbors about community or personal issues or any short trips you need to take. At one time or another during that same time, each of the planets will square Jupiter. As noted earlier, the worst Jupiter can generally do is incline us to be overly optimistic or over-confident. In this case, this is a real possibility, so make sure you use the optimism but not unrealistically or to the point that it's a turn-off. Pluto isn't exactly silent this month, either. From September 18 - 25 the Sun will square the god of the Underworld, which tends to unearth something that requires attention and resolution. The houses involved are your 2nd House of finance and possessions and your 5th House of creativity, self-expression, children, romance and ego, which is where Pluto is currently residing. Expect this blast from the Sun to highlight something in this area that you've either ignored, tried to suppress, or deliberately kept hidden as a dirty little secret. Pluto laughs at such things and just loves to bring them out in the open, one way or another. The good news is that his entire point is to resolve it so you can heal and move on, so keep that in mind as you slog through the mud to making things right. During about this same time, Mars and Venus will sextile Pluto, which will not only bring you some good ideas on how to clean up the mess but open up some opportunities as a result. So as you can see, this will all ultimately turn out to be a good thing. This is obviously a busy month for you, though most of the activity will be mental and emotional. There are lessons to be learned that will help you evolve and grow and move toward the person the Universe expects you to be.
