Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon this month occurs on November 2 in your Sign. This will have the most noticeable impact on those of you born within a day or so of May 1 though all Taurus' will notice the effects of a lunation in their 1st House of personality to some degree. By definition a Full Moon is an opposition between the Sun and Moon so with the Moon in Taurus, the Sun is in your polar sign, Scorpio, which represents your 7th House of relationships. Thus, the general theme will relate to you, personally, and your relationship with those close to you. For astrological purposes, "relationships" include not only your significant other but close friends and relatives, business partners, and if you have your own business, your cliental. Open enemies are also included, i.e. those people whom you know are NOT your friend and make no pretense otherwise. Those who are sneakier about it are located in the 12th House as hidden enemies. As always, the aspects accompanying the Full Moon further color its influence. One in particular to take note of is a T-Square with the Full Moon itself created by Mars in Leo, your 4th House of home environment. This will further strengthen the effects of this lunation since it is influencing your angular houses which comprise the 1st (personality), 4th (home environment), 7th (relationships) and 10th (public image). These Houses, which obviously comprise very important areas of your life, contain a lot of energy so aspects affecting them are likely to be hard to miss. Meanwhile, back to that Mars T-Square, what you can expect from Mars in your 4th House is a lot of energy centered around your home, which includes your actual abode as well as the people that occupy it. Mars packs quite a wallop and the key is to use its energy constructively or it could turn on you. For example, it could make you more aggressive toward family members, more impatient than usual, or vice versa with them barking at you. It could also bring damage to your home itself, such as through fire or storm activity. Thus, it's a favorable time to make sure all your smoke detectors are working properly and take care of anything you know is in need of repair. Use this energy in a constructive way, i.e., to accomplish things that need to be done. That T-Square is going to introduce tension no matter what, but the key is to use it in a positive way. Your family members may be less cooperative than you'd prefer, but rather than getting angry with them, which will be all too easy with Mars in fiery Leo, shoot for enthusiasm instead and the concept of beautifying your home. Use it to paint a room, rearrange furniture, clean up the yard, or some other activity that will bring satisfaction. Taurus loves comfort and luxury, so choose projects that will contribute to those elements as well. Even though remodeling and such can be stressful activities, bear the end results in mind and make every effort to be positive. Tangling with family members is almost inevitable, but recognize the source and use it to attack issues and problems, not people. If you've finally had it with a certain situation, use that energy to resolve it in a proactive manner rather than quietly fuming, which will ultimate cause health problems. Every astrological aspect has a positive and negative manifestation; it's all a matter of your attitude and how you put it to work for you. Another aspect that you'll want to manage properly is a square between Saturn and Pluto, who are occupying your 6th and 9th Houses, respectively. Your 6th House comprises your work, busy work/personal projects and health while the 9th includes your beliefs, expectations, other cultures, higher learning, legal matters, relocation and long-distance travel. Neither of these planets is considered particularly friendly, but they both serve a very useful purpose. While Saturn transits your house of work and health over the next few years his mission will be to impose structure, discipline, and responsibility to those areas of your life. This is an excellent time to define and pursue some definite goals related to your work activities, whether on the job or in your personal life. Saturn will give you perseverance and ambition which will help you stay on track and keep your goal in sight. Used properly, you will make great strides in this area of your life during this time and while you will be motivated to work hard, it will also bring you great satisfaction as you see progress. Pluto in your house of beliefs, which includes your philosophy of life and cultural interactions, will also produce some interesting effects. Pluto's function is easily compared figuratively to a backhoe digging up your yard in order to repair broken sewer pipes. This makes a tremendous mess, yet it's required in order to get to the root of the problem (probably literally) and effect appropriate repairs. Thus, you can expect to take some deep and possibly painful views at beliefs or attitudes that are best cleaned up and let go. Pluto is about death and regeneration, about letting something go so that something new and better can take its place. And you exhume and examine this part of your life, you will either reaffirm or change your view of the world. This transit will be in effect for a long time so you can look upon this as a process that will take decades. However, it will result in tremendous personal growth and progression. As far as the square between Saturn and Pluto is concerned, consider that these two will be working together over the next month or so in a challenging way. Conflicts will arise between your current beliefs and your work. In other words, there's a good chance you're not in the right job. You may have philosophical differences with your boss which suddenly become more annoying than before. You may be surrounded by power struggles. Or are you in a job that just isn't for you? If you have a personality conflict with your daily tasks, in other words they're annoying, frustrating and meaningless, causing you to dread getting up in the morning and going to work, then you're in the wrong job. Taurus' like comfort and though you hate to admit it, you tend to be a bit lazy. The trick is to find a job that you like well enough that you're motivated to work hard, which you are certainly capable of doing. You are also patient and don't have a problem making slow and steady progress. There are multiple reasons why you may be in the wrong job, but there are also multiple ways to find the correct one. For starters, take a quick look at the careers suggested for Taurus, then research it further online or with the plethora of books on the subject. If you basically like your job but don't get along with your boss, then it may be time to make a change to another department or company. The Universe wants you to be happy, so will force you as necessary to look at things that are keeping you from it. Taurus' are masters at procrastination so from time to time the planets will give you the proverbial kick in the butt to git 'r' dun. The good news is that your Sign Ruler, Venus, is also in your house of work, which will give you a great start as you begin this quest. She, also, is forming a T-Square, but in this case it's with the Lunar Nodes, which indicate major life changes with the North Node indicating something coming into your life and the South Node indicating something going out. This will further assist you in finding a new course considering that the North Node is in the 9th House of beliefs along with Pluto, indicating the those deep introspections with respect to your beliefs and so forth will bring something new your way. The South Node is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and short journeys, indicating that old ideas will be fading away. There is also the possibility that you will change residences during this time, perhaps to somewhere quite far from where you are now. Venus is also making a quincunx, an aspect which denotes the need for an adjustment or change of course, with Uranus, planet of sudden change, rebellion, freedom and the unexpected. Can you see the trend the planets are pushing you toward yet? As a Fixed Sign change is not your favorite activity, but it looks as if the Universe is doing everything it possibly can to point you in that direction. Uranus is in your 11th House of friends, group associations, organizations, and hopes and wishes. This aspect thus implies that a change is called for regarding either with whom you hang out with socially or professionally or perhaps regarding your hopes and wishes, a.k.a. goals. Uranus is sextile the North Node, indicating an unexpected opportunity may come your way through one of your associations, which just might jump start the entire process. Venus is not finished, either, as she is also trining both Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. "the wounded healer." Not surprisingly, considering all the trends that are falling out of this lunation, these two are in your 10th House of career, reputation and status, and another angular House, as explained above. Can you spell m-a-j-o-r l-i-f-e c-h-a-n-g-e-s????? Neptune will help inspire you, stir up your dreams and imagination to identify what your dream job or career might be. As an Earth Sign you are enough of a realist to know what's possible and what isn't, but don't be too earthbound by that, either. Whatever you can conceive you can achieve, particularly as you pursue it in a determined, methodical way, which is something Taurus wrote the book on. Chiron in this case may be ready to bring you relief from past disappointments or frustrations. Finding the right path in life is extremely important to our happiness and it appears that this critical lunation is taking you by the hand to show you the way. Thus, unless you're deliriously happy where you are, it behooves you to take appropriate action while the planets are in your court. Lunations with this much significance don't come along every month, so exploit it for all it's worth. The New Moon on November 16 occurs in your polar sign, Scorpio, and 7th House of relationships as noted earlier. This lunation will be most noticeable for those of you born within a day or so of May 15 and implies someone new coming into your life. The New Moon is squaring Neptune and Chiron, that pair who's in your 10th House of career and reputation. This gives the impression that you'll meet someone new who is going to stir things up in this area. This could be someone who inspires you to pursue new heights or it could be someone who makes your current position unbearable. At any rate, the result will be the same, to motivate you to put your plan together to pursue new paths. Note that the Pluto - Saturn square is still in effect with the same meaning as explained for the Full Moon. In addition, there are some very nice, favorable aspects to help you even further. First of all, Saturn is sextile Mercury in Sagittarius, your 8th House of transformations. This indicates new thoughts will effect a transformation, escorting you to a new understanding or attitude which will create opportunities to restructure that job situation. There is also a Sextile Pattern, which denotes multiple opportunities, with the North Node at the apex, which you may recall signifies something new coming into your life. The New Moon itself is at work there as well, indicating further than a new relationship will point you in a different direction, and Uranus, planet of change, rebellion, and freedom, is also involved. So there is plenty of help and motivation out there to get you started. Thus, to reiterate, if you life isn't everything you'd like it to be, if you feel stuck, frustrated, or unsatisfied in any way, now is the time to take steps to do something about it, when the planets are lending all sorts of assistance. Daily and Short-term Aspects November 1: Communications with someone in your household are likely to be tense. Look for the root cause as opposed to the conversation itself. November 2: Full Moon today as described above. November 3: Neptune comes out of retrograde, which will allow his energy to be expressed externally. This will allow his inspiration and enlightenment to surface and provide new direction. November 5 - 7: Conversations with those close to you are favored during this time. Thoughts and ideas will be clearly expressed, making it an excellent time for problem solving and/or getting to know someone better. Thoughts related to work and any frustrations there will be easily identified with exploring your core beliefs and expectations toward life also worth consideration. Your Sign Ruler, Venus, goes into Scorpio on the 7th, which will enhance your relationships. November 8: Thoughts and conversations related to your work and the course you need to take will be coming to light. Understanding of what you need to do to expand your career, status or public image will be clear, but perhaps challenging and somewhat daunting. This is not the time to be discouraged. Take things one step at a time and muster that natural Taurean patience to define the possibilities. If nothing else, you will be able to identify exactly where Pluto needs to dig as far as getting your belief system flushed out. November 10 - 11: If someone is standing in your way or presenting a career obstacle, you will be acutely aware of it. Now is a favorable time to do some networking to find any leads or connections that will open the way for you to different pursuits. You may tend to daydream a lot at this time, which is fine, as long as you don't mistake it for reality. November 14: Relationship issues are emphasized at this time. Someone from your social circle may evolve into a closer relationship or provide some other sort of benefit such as providing a way to pursue your goals. Favorable change is likely. November 15: Mercury goes into Sagittarius today, which will accelerate your perceptions and facilitate transformational change. Identifying elements of your beliefs or expectations that need to change in order to rebuild your work ambitions is very likely. You may tend to feel discouraged, tired or overwhelmed by the magnitude of change required, but trust the Universe and take it one step at a time. November 16: New Moon today as described above. November 19 - 21: Interactions with the opposite sex will be tense during this time, particularly at home. However, you should be able to get those close to you onboard with the fact you need to change directions with regard to your work and career. The Sun goes into Sagittarius on the 21st, enhancing your ability to make observations that will have a transformational effect. November 23: Expanding your career ambitions may be hindered by a female at this time. Find some time to closely examine your beliefs and expectations along with anything that isn't working. November 24 - 25: Seeing things differently than you have before will enable you to start defining what needs to be done to improve your job options. A new relationship or change in the level of an existing one is likely. It's also possible for someone you know to provide a path toward your new goals. November 26: New insights and understanding will bring a surge of energy and renewed sense of drive related to your home life. If you're currently moving into a new relationship, be aware of the tendency to be too idealistic. Don't elevate your expectations to a level where you set yourself up for disappointment. November 29: Opportunities to obtain new information and insights relative to career or status expansion are out there today. Keep your eyes and mind open accordingly. Understanding the origin of your beliefs is possible and may go back to your early childhood. Examine them closely for flaws or misconceptions that may be holding you back. November 30: You may realize that major changes are required that affect your circle of friends or other associations. If you've been hanging out with the wrong people who are holding you back, it's time to break away. Changing your goals is another possibility. How are you evolving as a person?
