Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon occurs on November 2 in your polar sign, Taurus which represents your 7th House of close relationships. This will herald either an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase regarding one or more persons with whom you have a close relationship. Remember that relationships in the astrological context include not only your significant other but close friends and relatives, business partners, your cliental if you're in business for yourself and also open enemies, i.e. those people who are foolish enough to have it in for you and aren't afraid to make their intentions know. Of course Scorpios can easily flush out even the hidden enemies who reside in the 12th House, so it's somewhat of a moot point. This lunation will have even more impact to those of you born within a day or so of November 3rd. Furthermore, for you folks it will be in effect all year as it will represent your Solar Return. As always, the aspects that accompany the Full Moon further color its influence. One in particular to watch out for is the T-Square between the opposing Sun and Moon and your ancient ruler, Mars, who's in Leo, your 10th House of career, reputation, status and public image. This lunation is already angular for you, meaning that the Sun and Moon fall in your 1st and 7th houses, respectively, and now you have Mars in the 10th. The angular houses which comprise the 1st, 4th, 7th & 10th contain a whole lot of energy as they represent very important areas of your life. Mars in the 10th will give you lots of energy in pursuing related issues such as career ambitions, status changes, or anything related to you that meets the public eye or record. For example, status includes such things as when you graduate from school, get married or divorced, become a property owner, are promoted at work, etc. Thus, if you're pursuing something of that nature, you are loaded for bear, but there are likely to be a variety of conflicts associated with it that impact your relationships as well as you personally. Another aspect of particular note is a square between your Sign Ruler, Pluto, and Saturn which are in your 3rd and 12th Houses, respectively. Pluto in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys is very comfortable for a Scorpio who already can read people's minds and thinks far beneath the surface compared to most people. If your birthday is between October 24 - 26, your Natal Sun is sextile Pluto, giving it even more influence and providing a plethora of opportunities. Saturn in your 12th won't be quite as comfortable, yet you'll be able to use it to advantage. The 12th is somewhat of a "woo-woo" house in that it contains such things as your spirituality, dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, confinement, institutions, and as noted earlier, hidden enemies. Saturn imposes structure, discipline and sometimes delays, which aren't necessary compatible with 12th House elements. Nonetheless it can be useful for defining boundaries, tuning into your higher self in a more disciplined manner, and finding anything in that part of your life that could benefit from more solid definition. The square with Pluto may manifest as a conflict between your deepest thoughts and your spiritual nature. If you have any self-defeating behaviors, you should be able to identify and eliminate them, and if there are any ideas you want to pursue, it will help you find the needed discipline to see them through. On the other hand it could present a moral dilemma if your thoughts aren't in synch with your spiritual values. Saturn can institute delays so if there are any dreams you've been pursuing you may not see them come to fruition until Saturn moves on, yet you'll be better prepared to put them into action when all is said and done. Pluto will be in your House of thoughts and ideas for a long time and will certainly effect a transformation in that area that will be particularly useful to Scorpios who already have discerning thought down to an art form. Venus, also in your 12th House, is making several aspects as well. First of all, she is also forming a T-Square but with the Lunar Nodes. This gives it an entirely different flavor as opposed to the one with Mars at the apex. The Lunar Nodes indicate something coming into (North Node) and out of (South Node) your life and are currently resident in your 3rd and 9th Houses, respectively. This further emphasizes changes in your thought process that will bring it into synch with your spiritual values and all those other woo-woo things hanging out in the 12th. She will bring comfort, peace, and harmony to this part of your life which will be very beneficial. Her square to the North Node indicates new thoughts are coming your way that may be a bit challenging and her square to the South Node indicates that some of your beliefs are going to be dissipated as a result. Venus is also trine both Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, in Aquarius, your 4th House of home environment and another angular House. Harmonious connections between Venus and Neptune often point to a dreamy love affair. Given their house placement, they could also instill within you some idealistic impressions relative to your home and family. Neptune has been retrograde for several months and goes direct a few days after the Full Moon, which will help externalize its energy. Effects can include a deep compassion and intuitive understanding of those in your household and also define your concept of the ideal home for further development. The trine to Chiron could see the resolution or dissolution of old disappointments or hurts related to home. A deeper spiritual dimension is attainable which will bring insights and understanding. Use it to heal anything that may have been holding you back or affecting your attitude in a negative manner. Further reinforcing the theme of deep spiritual enlightenment is the quincunx from Venus to Uranus. A quincunx calls for an adjustment or change of course with Uranus the planet or sudden change or the unexpected who's hanging out in your 5th House of creativity, self-expression, children, romance, speculation and entertainment. These all relate to your ego in some manner, which drive much of our behavior. Thus getting to know yourself better will inevitably bring about further changes to your spiritual dimension and enhance your creativity. And thus shines the Full Moon. The New Moon on November 16 is in your Sign and will be particularly significant to those of you born right around November 17, making it part of your Solar Return and in effect all year in one way or another. A New Moon in your 1st House of personality undoubtedly bodes for significant personal changes. However, it's also squaring Neptune and Chiron in your 4th, implying those in your home environment may not be particularly receptive, especially if you are too idealistic and impose unrealistic expectations or values on those around you. Be careful that you don't retreat into your own little world and leave those you really care about behind. The Saturn - Pluto square is still in effect and has the same implications as described for the Full Moon. There is also a sextile pattern that further reinforces the theme of new thoughts and ideas coming into your life as well as local connections and activities that will be further enhanced by your increasing creative endeavors and personality growth. There is also a sextile between Saturn and Mercury, indicating an opportunity to connect your spiritual structuring with ideas related to your financial situation. There's a lot going on at the spiritual and psychological level this month, so don't be surprised if you're a bit distracted or accused of being a space cadet. Daily and Short-Term Aspects November 1: Conflicts related to your career or community standing are likely. You'll express yourself clearly, yet run the risk of being perceived as too aggressive. November 2: Full Moon today as explained above. November 3: Neptune comes out of retrograde, releasing his energy for external expression. This will increase your compassion and intuitive understanding of those in your household, which will contribute to a peaceful environment. November 5 - 6: Significant thoughts and ideas that contain great clarity and depth are yours today and for those of you with a birthday today or within a few days one way or the other you'll enjoy these benefits all year. However, you may direct some of these thoughts inward and tend to be too self-critical due to what you perceive as spiritual failings within yourself. This will give you some idea of what it will be like with Saturn's solemnity transiting your 12th House. Recognize what it is and don't let it get you down. Instead, utilize that energy in a more productive way. November 7: Venus goes into your sign today, which should be cause for celebration.
