There are some significant influences this month that will have a favorable affect your finances and career. Pluto recently moved into your Natural 2nd House of finances, possessions and pleasures. For the past several years he's been grinding away on your personality during which you have experienced various transformations. Now he's moved into Capricorn, your 2nd House, and will start renovations there. Remember that Pluto is affectionately called the Zodiacal Roto-rooter. If there is anything that needs digging out, he will find it. While he's in this particular venue he'll be directing your attention to anything and everything that relates to this area that either you're not handling properly or requires deep examination. It will enhance your natural instincts in this area and also your capability for researching hidden data. Combined with Capricorn's discipline and sense of responsibility, this should be very useful in getting this part of your life in perfect order with this month a good one to get started. This is due to the fact that Saturn, who's currently in Virgo, is throwing a nice, harmonious trine in his direction.

Saturn rules Capricorn, so there's already a natural affinity between those influences, and since Virgo, like Cappy, is also an Earth Sign, practicality and facts will prevail. If you're working with your finances, it doesn't get much better than that. Saturn in Virgo will lend some seriously detail-oriented inclinations toward the forensic examination you should be performing on your finances. If you're considering a major purchase, this will help you root out the facts you need to make the best decision. During the first week of the month it's even better, since Venus will be in there as well, forming a Grand Earth Trine, from your 6th House of work, health, and pets.

Of course with your Houses of finance (2nd), work (6th) and career (10th) tied together by a Grand Earth Trine, it also would appear that there is something favorable going on job-wise as well. Bear in mind that your work and career are not the same. Your work includes your day job, which is not necessarily what you would call a career. For example, while someone is trying to break into a new field, such as acting, they may work in a job where their only significant line is "Do you want fries with that?" Their career, however, would be acting, since that is where they hope to make a difference and build a reputation. Maybe they'll never make a living at it, but only work in neighborhood playhouses, yet that is how they'll be known to the public. That said, for the first week of May, Venus will be tied in with Pluto and Saturn. Actually, she'll be doing good things for work efforts until the 25th, which could include a raise or new opportunity of some sort, especially with the New Moon in Taurus on May 5. Be careful, however, that you base any decisions or expectations on facts, not wishful thinking. Don't let your imagination get carried away and set you up for disappointment.

Saturn has been retrograde (RX) for several months now, which may have served to stagnate your career in some way. If it seems like absolutely nothing is happening, either because it's stuck in committee or any of a plethora of other reasons, this is why. The really good news is that on May 3 this condition will end at last, so you should see some progress in this area at that time. During this RX period you've probably been ruminating on what you really want to be when you grow up. Chances are good that sometime after Saturn goes direct you'll figure out what that is and what you need to do to get there. Saturn is all about discipline, responsibilities, obligations, and structure and Virgo, as noted earlier, brings an eye for detail and organization skills. This will help you make appropriate plans to get where you want to go. Pluto over there in Capricorn can help your take control of your finances in such a way to make it happen as well, since a major new endeavor may involve going back to school or something else that requires reworking your checkbook.

Another aspect that will be in effect all month involves Jupiter, also in Capricorn, and Uranus, who's in your 4th House of home environment. These two will be in sextile, which usually heralds an opportunity, so this is more good news. During the first few days of May, Mars will be tugging at Jupiter in some way, however. Mars brings a lot of drive and energy but this is not always what is needed to accomplish your goals. He's in your 8th House of sex, death, other people's money and transformations, so he's possibly trying to get you to take the easy way out and just get a loan as opposed to reworking your finances in a more disciplined but grueling way. I know you're intelligent enough to do the math, literally, on that one, even though you Archers aren't usually known for your patience any more than Mars-ruled Aries. However, once you put the facts together, I think you'll quickly see what the correct decision would be. Uranus is the planet of surprises, unexpected events, and radical change. Since he's been hanging out in your home environment for quite a while I'm sure you could list numerous things that have happened the past several years that would fit those categories. While in sextile to Jupiter, however, something good should come along that relates to your home, the people in it and your possessions or finances in some way. Between May 9 - 16, the Sun will get in there and create a sextile pattern that will make it even more likely for something good to come along. Note that the Sun is also in your 6th House of work, which brings even more emphasis to this area. So something is definitely going on in this area of your life.

The Sun will move into Gemini, your 7th House of relationships, on May 21. This will bring light and emphasis to this area of your life. Bear in mind that this includes not only significant others but any one-on-one relationship, including business partners as well as close friends and relatives. Mercury will be in that vicinity, also, for most of May, opening up communications of all sorts in that area. Be aware, however, that between May 26 through June 19, Mercury will enter one of his infamous retrograde cycles. This is a time when anything involving communications or mechanical devices is inclined to be honked up. Cell phones are more unreliable than usual, computers crash, traffic signals are literally on the blink, and human conversations are often confusing and ridden with misunderstandings. With Mercury in your 7th House of relationships, be especially careful during this period when communicating with those close to you. You may get a deer-in-the-headlights look quite frequently or just not seem to be able to get your point across. However, it's a favorable time to re-work, re-plan or re-visit unresolved issues. Going forward isn't likely, but getting old projects corrected or perfected is favored. If there's a lot to discuss with your significant other about all that career/job/financial stuff, this is actually a positive time to go through all the details of what you want to accomplish career-wise and what it will take to get there. Without their buy-in your progress will be hindered, so make sure they understand your expectations relative to what part they will play as you attempt to move forward with your life.

This will be a significant month for you regarding your job, career and finances. There is a lot of good stuff going on out there for you, but you need to pay attention and do your homework to make it happen. Also make sure that you include your significant other and any others who are close to you in on your plans and expectations, especially if they have a role to play in your success. Don't assume they'll agree with you or be able or willing to stand behind you 100%. This is not to say they won't, only that you need to spell it out and not take anything for granted. Use that Mercury RX period at the end of the month to re-examine and re-work your plans, and you should be good to go.
