Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon this month on March 10 occurs in Virgo, your 5th House of children, romance, creativity, entertainment, speculation and general self-expression. This House covers a lot of territory, but that is largely what it's all about, those things, people, and activities where we find enjoyment and express our ego. A Full Moon indicates a culmination, which can mean either an ending or a shift to a new level or phase. For example, this could indicate when your first child is born or when your last one leaves home, the beginning or end of a romance, or even the shift from a simple romance to a committed relationship (7th House). You may get bored with one hobby and move on to another or any number of possibilities, but this should give you an idea. This is an area where we can get carried away. Taureans like their pleasures and comforts, which are actually 2nd House, but having fun is similar enough that you are likely to be drawn to them. You are probably a fairly patient individual who enjoys relaxing, so that 5th House is where you go for that. The Full Moon every month has a personality of its own, based on the location of the other planets and the aspects they're making at the time. Often they're fairly nondescript, but this month there are some interesting and influential aspects worth going into a bit. By definition, a Full Moon is an opposition between the Sun and the Moon. Generally speaking, the Sun is shining directly on the Moon, which tends to bring our various hidden emotions to light. This is probably why dramatic events often occur at the time of the Full Moon, because it releases so much emotional energy. The Sun is currently in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, hopes and wishes, bringing emphasis to that part of your life. Looking at the Full Moon and putting it as simply as possible, something going on with others in some particular framework is going to be in a tug-o-war with something else you rather do. But there's some other things going out there that will intensify this further. Saturn and Uranus have been in opposition for a while. Saturn is currently retrograde, meaning it's going back and forth albeit slowly across from Uranus. Saturn is all about responsibility, our obligations, structure, discipline, authority figures, and so forth. He's in your 5th House of entertainment, which is like inviting your grandmother to a party with your hard-drinking friends. In other words, something or someone has been on your case like white on rice to be more responsible, whether it's the realization that you need to quit playing golf and find a second job to make ends meet or a person nagging you along those same lines. Uranus, planet of rebellion, sudden change, innovation, disruptions, and unexpected events, is cruising along in Pisces, your 11th House of groups. Can you spell p-a-r-t-y h-a-r-d-y? If not, then maybe you're involved in other pursuits of a Uranian nature that fit in different ways. Perhaps you're involved with emergency management or are a volunteer with an organization that is swamped lately. It would take volumes to cover all the possibilities, but hopefully you get the idea enough to see the forces that are in opposition where your own needs are pitted against unexpected events or an overall hectic pace involving others. Now the clincher. That Saturn - Uranus opposition is snuggled in right-close with that Full Moon with the Moon conjunct Saturn and the Sun conjunct Uranus. Thus, if there's been an ongoing conflict between these two areas of you life, which there probably has been for a month or so, this lunation is going to emphasize it and stands a good chance of bringing it to a close, one way or another. Either you'll make a decision regarding the situation or someone else will do it for you. There are some helpful aspects accompanying that Full Moon which will bring some opportunities your way. One between Pluto and Mercury will help you examine your beliefs at a deep level to find the correct answer and the other between Venus and Jupiter will provide more answers and perhaps a way to expand your community status while you're at it. Venus, your sign ruler, goes retrograde on March 6 and will stay that way until April 16. She is currently residing in your 12th House of spirituality, inspiration, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies, and the collective consciousness. Heavy duty stuff resides there, and Venus RX will be stirring up the silt at the bottom of this House in areas you've been neglecting. If you've been ignoring your more spiritual side, your duty to humanity, or feel trapped but haven't addressed it, Venus will help bring that to the surface for you to deal with it. Note that the New Moon on the 26th occurs in your 12th House as well, which implies new activities and attitudes are on the way. That lunation is trailing deep introspection into your past and anything you've been trying to sweep under the rug. In other words, Venus and Pluto are in cahoots trying to bring something to your attention that you've been trying to ignore. Resisting the planets, especially these two, is like trying to hold off a tank with a water pistol, so it's best to take note and deal with it. Another aspect to watch is a quincunx between Jupiter and Saturn which will be operative from March 14 - 31. A quincunx is like a big Detour sign that typically necessitates a change of course. With Jupiter in your 10th House of career and reputation, this should bring opportunities to expand upon that area of your life. Tied in with Saturn, it will most likely come through an increase in responsibility and obligation. It will probably start as a Catch-22 situation that makes you more than aware that an adjustment is required. If you don't make this adjustment yourself, then someone else will probably do so for you. As a Fixed Sign, change isn't something you enjoy, but the good news is that this allows implies an adjustment, not necessarily a major crisis or conflict. However, planets in quincunx are moving in the direction of an opposition, so a day of reckoning is down the road. The more action to take now, the less that will be required later, allowing you to take those baby steps you prefer if you act now and don't procrastinate. Let me say that again, Taureans, so you read me loud and clear: Don't procrastinate! Short-term Aspects Now that you have the overall theme for March, here's how those events will be tied together, day by day, as the planets conduct their usual perfectly choreographed dance in the heavens. On March 1st news of some description related to your career responsibilities will come your way which will give you a glimpse into what to expect regarding other events to come. This could manifest as an aggressive move on the part of someone else or even yourself that is going to require adjustments to those responsibilities regarding your personal life. On or around the 5th a couple of different things could happen as Mercury, the ruler of communications, comes in contact with Neptune, who rules deception, illusions, and inspiration, disparate as they may seem. He also is great at dissolving things before your eyes, so this means either great inspiration or something goes "poof!" never to be seen again. Don't believe much between the 5th and 8th of March without cold, hard facts. Taking action is risky as someone may appeal to you in a winsome way that is totally couched in deception. Doing something entirely selfless from the goodness of your heart is safe, but moving forward on just about anything else is probably a bad idea. An emphasis on your responsibilities is likely at this time, so pay attention, but make sure that you really are the responsible party, not someone else who's trying to avoid it. The Full Moon comes along on the 10th, culminating something as detailed above. On the 12th expect the unexpected, particularly as they apply to those group activities, organizations, your friends and so forth. This is likely to set off all that other stuff, including an annoyance that may originate from someone of the opposite sex but sets you to thinking about what people really think of you, for good or ill. On or around the 18th more news from those groups or others in your life will again accent your sense of responsibility (or perhaps lack thereof--you'll know which one). The next day or so after that, around the 19th, an aggressive move or event involving this group will call some of your core beliefs up for review with more news or thoughts coming at you out of the blue around the 21st. On the 22nd, that Jupiter - Saturn quincunx is at its peak, so if you haven't seen that Detour sign yet, you should now. Remember that detours typically mean the road ahead is closed and the alternate route is often no cake walk, either. Between March 23 - 27 expect more deep introspection into your deepest beliefs. Where you've been and where you're going is worth serious consideration at this time. Things to consider, depending on your circumstances, involve 9th House elements such as going back to school, relocation, your religious or political beliefs, and legal issues, including contracts. The last few days of the month you should start figuring all of this out. These answers will come from deep inside yourself and arise through the essence of who and what you are. All that 5th House activity relative to your self-expression and ego will combine with your spiritual nature to bring some answers your way that will help guide you along that detour, whatever or wherever it may lead. This looks like a rather intense and thought-provoking month. It's time to look at your responsibilities versus recreational activities and bring them into proper balance. If you're playing too much, it's time to work and if you're working too much it's time to relax. Either way, it's time for some adjustments to your life, attitude, life style, and so forth, so pay attention. If you don't take action on your own, the Universe may force its hand in a way you won't like. Thinking of moving? Where's a good place for you?
