This month most of you will have your solar opposition, which typically occurs a day or so one way or another of your half-birthday with the effects in force for a week to ten days.  Significant events of all varieties can occur at this time, some good, some bad, some indifferent.  It usually is a time when events cause you see yourself more clearly.  In my experience, people tend to be more accident-prone during this time, sometimes because they're doing something beyond their ability and sometimes just because they're careless or in the wrong place at the wrong time.  One thing worth noting, is that the NASA accidents all occurred during NASA's solar opposition, so take that however you like.  It certainly brought them plenty of attention, but not exactly of the variety they wanted.  It's a favorable time to take a look at where you're headed and whether it's in the right direction or not.  Key events of a life-changing variety can occur, but will usually necessitate a conscious decision on your part.

The New Moon on August 1 is in Leo, also your opposing sign, which will have more significance than usual since it is also an eclipse.  That means that it will not only usher in something new, but it will be in effect until a Full Moon eclipse closes it about six months from now.  Leo is your 7th House of relationships, so this is where these new happenings are most likely to occur.  In fact, the planets are traveling in a fairly tight cluster which is going to have a strong effect not only on your relationships but will have some transformational effects as well.  The Full Moon this month on the 16th is in your 1st House of personality, that should have a noticeable effect as well.

Mercury and the Sun will be in conjunction from August 1 - 5, which will highlight communications of all sorts.  Since you're a friendly sort and there's so much action in your House of relationships, this will probably manifest as meeting new people.  Within this same timeframe, i.e. between August 1 - 3, Venus will oppose Neptune.  Neptune has been hanging out in your 1st House of personality for quite a while now with common effects including being idealistic, inspired, dreamy, and more than likely unrealistic.  Responsibility in general is not high on your list.  Throw this together with Venus, goddess of love, who happens to also be hanging out in that relationship house, and I don't think I really need to tell you that this will have an effect on your relationships, or perhaps one in particular.  Finding someone special is very possible, but muster in that Air Sign logic so as not to get too carried away just yet. 

Also in the act will be Pluto, who will linger in a nice harmonious trine with Venus until August 8.  Pluto is in your 11th House of friends, group associations, as well as hopes & wishes.  Pluto has a variety of effects, none of them boring.  He can dig out your deepest secrets, imbue you with a tremendous sense of power, or simply cast an aura of dark and sultry mystery either your way or bring you in contact with people with these characteristics.  The house placement implies you'll meet someone with whom you'll develop a romantic interest through your friends.  "Romantic interest" may be a little tame, in which case again I advise caution until all the facts are in.  The stronger the draw and obsession, the greater the need to not lose your head.

Also in effect the first of the month and lasting until August 12 is yet another opposition, this time between Mars and Uranus, your Sign Ruler.  Mars is in your 8th House of sex, death, other people's money, and transformations, while Uranus is in your 2nd House of possessions and finances.  This influence is in effect across your axis of pleasures and finances with Mars throwing a lot of energy into your 8th House while Uranus, planet of surprises and the unexpected saunters along in your 2nd.  This could either be a very pleasant surprise of a sensual nature or a rather unpleasant surprise of a financial nature.  One thing you need to avoid for certain is to refuse to loan anyone money, period, no matter how much they beg and cry.

Mercury and Venus will get together in a nice, cozy conjunction for the second half of the month, i.e. from August 13 - 31.  Both of them will be in Virgo, your 8th House, picking up where that Mars - Uranus opposition left off.  This is a much more favorable aspect that should enhance communications of either a romantic or financial nature.  If you're trying to borrow money, for example, this will also bode quite well, and if you have met someone new, this should enhance your communications quite nicely as well.

Mars will square Pluto from August 10 - 24.  If you think that sounds less than friendly, you're absolutely correct.  The god of war and the god of the underworld in hard aspect is definitely not something to celebrate.  If you have any financial entanglements with any organizations, this could trigger a crisis or conflict of some description.  Around the 20th, it could even evolve to a legal issue, so be on the lookout and take care of business in any way that you can.  Don't ignore it as it won't go away on it's own, only go subterranean to come out later when you least expect it and certainly won't like it any more than you will now.  Do yourself a favor and resolve it so you don't have to worry about it again.

The Sun will oppose Neptune from August 10 - 20.  Pay close attention during this time to assure you're not duped in some way, either in the past or present sense.  Remember that Neptune can make you a real space cadet prone to extreme wishful thinking.  The Sun can help you see things as they really are with this also probably relating to your relationships.  This is as good of place as any to remind you that your 7th House of relationships includes not only significant others but any one-on-one relationship, including close friends and relatives, business partners, and so forth.  There's all sorts of action going on this month in this area, but it is not all going to apply to one person, unless you only know or have contact with one, which is unlikely for an Aquarius who usually has many friends and acquaintances.

The Full Moon on the 16th implies something in your personal life is going to change.  This is also an eclipse that will have closure effects relative to something that's been going on for approximately six months.  This Full Moon comes accompanied by a nice Grand Earth Trine that appears to have some spiritual significance, relate to rituals in some way, and has the potential for being a major milestone and/or transformational.  It really fits in if you happen to be getting engaged or married, though it has a variety of other interpretations as well, such as a child graduating or going away to college.

From August 17 - 26 the Sun will trine Pluto, another favorable aspect that ties back to your friends or possibly hopes and wishes.  This one should bring out some hidden information that should be to your advantage.  If you're trying to find something out, use your usual charm to ask lots of questions because the odds are in your favor you'll get the answers. 

That Mercury/Venus conjunction noted earlier is going to form a square with Pluto from August 26 - 31.  This implies that all those cozy communications you're having with someone could encounter something you really didn't want to know during this time.  If your friends are involved already, they'll probably be involved in this as well.  For example, maybe you've really fallen for someone they introduced you to, then come along about now and tell you the person is a crook or something equally charming.  It may not be that serious, but remember that I've been throwing caution flags all along the way, so if it does take a turn in that direction, don't say I didn't warn you.

When the Sun conjoins Saturn during about this same time a huge dose of reality will strike.  This could be about that relationship issue or perhaps that financial stuff you tried to ignore.  At any rate, expect an "Oh, crap!" moment of some description if there is anything you haven't taken care of properly.  Or it could simply come about as hating yourself in the morning.  The second New Moon on August 30th in your 8th House of transformations could do the necessary follow-up on this revelation to give you the necessary nudge in a new direction.  It won't be as strong as the eclipse New Moon on the 1st, but will get you to thinking slightly differently than before nonetheless.

Needless to say, this looks like a busy and exciting month.  You love socializing and there should be many opportunities for that with the potential for meeting someone who will have a lot of significance in your life.  Just don't rush into anything without being aware of all the facts.  Err on the side of caution and gather all the information you can before committing to someone or something that could cause disappointment later.  This is not to say that anything exciting that happens this month won't end well, only that you need to use some common sense before you get in too deep.
