Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 13th is in your polar sign, Taurus, which represents your 7th House of close relationships, which should bring some new development in that part of your life. Remember that this includes your significant other, business partners, professionals with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis, as well as competitors and those people whom you know are not your friends. If your birthday is within a day or so of November 16 this lunation will be more noticeable. Saturn is the most active planet for this New Moon, including a trine to the New Moon itself from his position in Virgo, your 11th House of friends, groups, organizations, and goals. He's been retrograde since January and fortunately will go direct on the 30th. Meanwhile, he's been grinding away on your 12th House cusp, thus having an influence in both your 11th and 12th Houses. Your 12th House comprises such things as enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing. The function of Saturn RX is to restructure some part of your life with more responsibility, create boundaries or limitations, and generally tutor you toward obtaining additional wisdom. His lessons aren't always pleasant but they're consistently beneficial, provided you heed them; otherwise you can expect an encore sometime later. If you want to know exactly what is going on with this retrograde, you can hearken back, provided you're old enough, to 1980, when Saturn was in that same general neighborhood. Think about what was concerning you at that time and more than likely if you didn't get things figured out then, you'll be experiencing much of the same type of thing now. With Saturn aspecting so many planets for this lunation, he will have a significant effect. First of all, look to your relationships as well as your friends and any organizations in which you're involved for positive restructuring you should make. Saturn is opposing both Uranus and Jupiter in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th House of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. This is going to create some sort of tug-o-war between that 5th House and your goals, organizational ties or friends. The charge is to take appropriate responsibility in one of those areas and do some restructuring. With Uranus involved it's likely to come as a surprise or be disruptive in some manner and Jupiter will provide the tendency to get blown out of proportion. The final aspect from Saturn is a quincunx to Neptune in Aquarius, your 4th House of home environment. Neptune and Saturn are not particularly compatible, but when Saturn is trying to restructure something this can have its advantages. Neptune tends to dissolve boundaries while Saturn builds them. As a Fixed Sign, you don't take well to change, but Neptune could actually help disperse any boundaries or hang-ups you have in such a way to make it easier to rebuild them in a slightly different configuration than they were before. The Full Moon on the 27th is in neighboring Sign, Sagittarius, your 2nd House of finances, possessions, income, needs and pleasures. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a different phase, which is likely to appear in this part of your life. The Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter opposition is still in effect except Uranus by this time has slipped into Aries, your 6th House of work, health, service and pets. Thus, any surprises or disruptions are likely to now come from that venue and have a much more action-oriented flavor than when he was in quiet, meditative Pisces, so brace yourself. This time they won't be subtle, they'll be mighty hard to miss. Neptune and Saturn are still quincunx, also, working at breaking down and rebuilding something. Mars, your ancient Sign Ruler, is in Leo opposing Neptune in your 4th House of home environment, which is bound to stir up a conflict between home and your 10th House of career or status in some way. Bear in mind that status covers a lot of ground, i.e. anything that involves a title or label of some sort. In other words, when you get married or divorced, get promoted or fired, receive an award or honor or go to jail, graduate from school or drop out, buy your first house or property, open or close a business, etc. It also includes when you become a parent for the first time or your last child leaves home; anything that affects the image and reputation you present to the public. This could even manifest as stress or a lot of hard work toward one an achievement of some sort that results in you spending a lot of time at home with a beer in one hand and the remote in the other as you try to escape and unwind. Your modern Sign Ruler, Pluto is moseying along in Capricorn, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and short trips, where he'll be for a very long time. For the Full Moon he's opposing Venus in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, legal matters, higher learning, other cultures, relocation and travel to unfamiliar places. This could stir up issues related to previous lovers, particularly if they fit one of those 9th House venues as well, such as from another culture. Thoughts, some of which go deeper and flush out information that you hadn't realized previously, are likely to yield new and even transformational understanding of what went on that you missed at the time. If you have any legal battles brewing, this should arm you with some additional help in finding ways to defend yourself, since no one can handle Pluto better than a Scorpio. Annoyances or deceptive information relative to your children or romantic interests could surface unexpectedly at this time as well. Daily and Short-Term Aspects May 2: Adjustments to either your home or social calendar are likely to arise. Before you cancel any engagements, however, make sure that the issue at home truly warrants it and isn't an illusion. May 3: An excellent day for discovering a few secrets about those close to you or uncovering hidden information. Deep insights are likely, also. May 4: Expect some conflicts between your relationships and career or status. In other words, this isn't a very good day to get into it with your boss because he or she is likely to be in an aggressive mood. May 7: A good day for interacting with members of the opposite sex. A really good day, if you know what I mean. May 10: Mercury goes direct after annoying us with malfunctioning electronics and mechanical items for the last few weeks. May 13: New Moon in Taurus, as described above. May 17: Another good day for romance or even speculation on your investments. Be a bit cautious, however, that you don't get too carried away in either department. May 18: If you've gone a bit overboard with anything lately, the consequences may tip their hand today. Nonetheless, it's a good day for a romantic evening at home or focusing on a relationship. May 19: If you've been neglecting your home or relationships, a crisis could arise out of it today. It's another favorable day for unearthing secrets or hidden information. Expect the unexpected from a child or lover. May 20: Expect the unexpected again today from someone close to you. Venus goes into Cancer, bringing her favor to your beliefs, expectations, legal matters and other 9th House matters. May 21: The Sun goes into Gemini, your 8th House of transformations, shared resources, inheritances, death and sex. May 22: Responsibilities to others versus your own endeavors will conflict today, forcing you to set some priorities. May 23: If you have any research to do, your ability to find hidden information will be strong today, especially as it relates to money. May 25: Something is likely to come to light that has a transformational effect on you as hidden information surfaces or you have a deepened understanding of a situation, past or present. May 27: Full Moon in Sagittarius as described above. May 28: Uranus goes into Aries, bringing disruptions and surprises to your work, health or service activities. May 30: Saturn goes direct after being retrograde for over four months. It will take until September 6, however, before everything really comes out of the swamp and starts moving again. During this time you'll be restructuring those issues that you'll now fully recognize as they surface in your conscious mind. |
