Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month is on the 14th in Aries, your 11th House of friends, organizations, networking, hopes, goals and wishes. If your birthday is right around June 16 you are even more likely to encounter an opportunity from this lunation. A change of direction is clearly implied by the aspects accompanying this New Moon. For example, there are two quincunxes, which typically indicate a change of course or adjustment, often due to a Catch-22 situation or need to justify your position. These involve Saturn and Neptune for one and Neptune and Mars for the other. Saturn is retrograde which works on your unconscious mind with regard to something in your life that needs to be restructured. With Saturn in Virgo, you 4th House of home environment, this is likely to be the focus. Saturn also spent some time retrograde in Libra, your 5th House of ego expression, children, romance, speculation and entertainment, so anticipate potential changes in that venue as well. Saturn is about structure, boundaries, restrictions, responsibility, and authority. In other words if you've been a bit unorganized or haphazard with regard to anything regarding your home, Saturn is trying to get you to shape things up. That quincunx to Neptune in your 9th House of beliefs and expectations, academia, legal matters, other cultures, relocation and foreign travel suggests that your view toward one or more of those areas may be a bit too idealistic, albeit unrealistic, and may require a sanity check. After all, the world is changing rapidly and what may have been a valid view a while back may have cratered in today's unstable state. Saturn is also opposing Uranus, planet of disruptions, surprises, freedom, breaking free, rebellion and the unexpected. Uranus is in your 10th House of career, reputation, public image and status. If these parts of your life have been topsy-turvy for several years, you can blame Uranus. If your birthday is right around June 20 this will be even more noticeable. Saturn and Uranus don't get along much better than Saturn and Neptune. Saturn strives for stability and stark reality where Neptune is off in a fog somewhere and Uranus is never happy with the status quo. The quincunx between Pluto and Mars also calls for a change of course or some sort of adjustment, in this case with regard to something most likely to found on the mental plane. With Mars in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and short journeys your energy should be high toward activities in this area. Since Gemini resides in the 3rd House of the Zodiac, these are areas that are naturally important to you. Pluto is in your 8th House of transformation, however, a natural environment for him since he rules Scorpio, the 8th Zodiacal House, so his natural strength is compounded in this location. This is the house where we experience things that change us forever such as sex, death, debt, inheritances, and shared resources. If this aspect is strictly directed toward your thoughts, this implies a new way of seeing things. It could involve a specific event, situation or experience to kick it off, but not necessarily. Daily and Short-term Aspects April 2: Watch for something to come up that requires a change of course, perhaps related to a goal or creative effort. Your Sign Ruler goes into Taurus, facilitating inspiration and enlightenment. April 3: Expect tension with members of the opposite sex today. Find some time for contemplation though they may clash with your more logical side. Don't discount them without objective consideration, however.
