Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month the New Moon on the 14th is in your sign and will have particular significance at a personal level for those of you who have a birthday within a day or so of April 15, for whom this lunation will hit your Natal Sun right in the headlights. Course changes, adjustments, and perhaps Catch-22s are the themes this month, which really aren't much different that what we've been seeing lately. For starters, Saturn is quincunx Neptune, the aspect that points toward an adjustment, though sometimes it also demands that you justify your position in some way. Saturn is retrograde in Virgo, your 6th House of work, health, service and pets, where he's pushing for a major restructuring in this part of your life. This is not the only site of his efforts, however, as earlier in the month he'll be in Libra, your 7th House of close relationships. Thus, he is stirring things up in both venues which may or may not overlap. Neptune is in Aquarius, your 11th House of groups, friends, organizations, networking, hopes, wishes and goals. Since Neptune is a dreamy, unrealistic albeit idealistic influence who can bring anything from inspiration to delusion, he and Saturn are quite antithetical since Neptune is also known to dissolve boundaries while Saturn establishes them. The implication is that perhaps you're not seeing your group interactions (or perhaps your coworkers) realistically so it's time to restructure your work environment. This aspect will likewise affect those of you born mid-month, specifically around April 18. Saturn is opposing Uranus as well, who's chugging along in Pisces, your 12th House of inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. These two planets don't exactly see eye to eye, either, with Uranus about breaking free, sudden change, rebellion and disruptions which is also incompatible with Saturn's wall-building, discipline, and conservatism. Since Aries are prone to being impulsive, Uranus is more your style than Saturn, but with Uranus in your House of hidden enemies and self-undoing, you might want to think things through before doing anything rash. Yet another quincunx and nudge toward a course change exists between your Sign Ruler, Mars, and Pluto. These two zodiacal bad boys are also trying to tell you something. Mars came out of a fairly long retrograde period in March, a time when he was giving you a second chance to take care of something you didn't act on previously. You should have identified what this is by now, which more than likely relates to something in your 5th House of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment, speculation, hobbies, etc. Pluto, in your 10th House of career, reputation, status and public image, is in roto-rooter mode, digging things up in this part of your life that have been buried prematurely or have simply gone beyond their useful life span. Remember that "status" in the 10th House sense includes a plethora of things. For example, if you graduate from school, get a business license, get promoted or fired, get married or divorced, become a parent for the first time or your last child leaves home, get elected or defeated in an election and so forth all relate to the 10th. Anything that involves a title or label is likely to reside there, so this has a broad number of possible applications. Thus, anything in that venue that is old and worn out and ready to be replaced is fair game for Pluto's efforts while Mars is contributing to your creativity in order to show you where to go once you clear the deck of that old debris. One aspect that shows a lot of positive promise amid all this muddy water is a nice trine between the North Node and Venus, who's in your 2nd House of possessions, finances, needs and pleasures. This happens to be Taurus, which Venus rules, giving her extra power and influence in that Sign, which should bring you pleasant experiences there until she moves into Gemini on April 25. The North Node bring something new and significant into your life which, in this case, is likely to relate to your status, also, since she's also in your 10th House, about 10 degrees away from Pluto. This may involve letting something go that involves your home environment in some way and may bring a challenge with it as well, particularly if your birthday is right around April 5th. The Full Moon on the 28th occurs in Scorpio, your 8th House of transformations, sex, debt, death, and shared resources. A Full Moon usually brings an ending or culmination, which in this particular house will have a profound and lasting effect on you. This will form a quincunx, implying another change of course, for those of you born around March 29. The aspects accompanying this lunation duplicate some of those in effect for the New Moon since they involve slow moving planets, i.e. the quincunx between Neptune and Saturn, and the opposition between Uranus and Saturn. Those aspects were delineated above and have the same meaning. Your Sign Ruler, Mars, is forming a T-square with the Sun/Moon from his position in Leo, implying a conflict between your head, heart and ego. Saturn is also opposing Jupiter, who's moving into a conjunction with Uranus, providing even more impetus to that sudden change or disruption hailing from your 12th House of hidden enemies and such. However, Jupiter being a benefic, suggests that this surprise event or revelation will be a good thing. Pluto is trining the Sun and Mercury, who are snuggled up together there in Taurus, your 2nd House of finance, possession, needs and pleasures. These planets and their placement indicate that the focus of the lunation will be on your finances and status or career, with the results ultimately quite favorable. So keep an eye out for something to come your way that fits that description. It may not be earth shattering, but it should be noticeable. Short Term/Daily Aspects April 2: Thoughts, perhaps below your conscious awareness, are rumbling around relative to restructuring a relationship. Remember that relationships in an astrological sense involve not only your significant other but business partners, close friends and relatives, and anyone with whom you have a one-on-one relationship, including business professionals such as your accountant. Mercury goes into Taurus, facilitating data gathering and information relative to you finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. April 3: You may be inclined to clash with members of the opposite sex. You also may want to do something for yourself that your wallet refuses to support. April 4: Information further nixing whatever you wanted to do is likely. Financial benefits may be on the way due to the exposure of something previous hidden. April 6: More information regarding that hidden information is likely to come to light and may give you some ideas that will be beneficial. April 7: Saturn backs into Virgo, bringing his subtle workings toward restructuring to your 6th House of work, health, pets and service. Pluto goes retrograde until September 14, directing that zodiacal back-hoe to start digging even deeper in your house of career and status. April 10: Your ego may be trimmed today, particularly if you made a mistake of some sort that comes out. Conversely, maybe you'll find something out relative to someone else that will be of benefit. Either way, the sands will shift in some way. April 14: New Moon in Aries today as described above. April 17: Significant opportunities are out there today, either in the form of inspiration toward building your finances or doing something you really enjoy. Take some time off to pamper yourself in some way or simply relax and redefine your dreams. April 18: An opportunity is possible to come your way from a friend, group connection, networking or some similar venue. Mercury goes retrograde until May 10 so remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical until after then. However, that period of time will be very favorable for rethinking and re-planning as well as reconsidering future plans. April 19: A change of course related to your work, health or service activities such as volunteer work is out there today. April 20: The Sun goes into Taurus, bringing emphasis to your 2nd House of finances, pleasures and so forth. April 23: If anyone gives you a hot tip or offers something that sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Keep a strong grip on your impulses and any sense of rebellion or inclination to break free. On the other hand, maybe that's exactly what you need to do, depending on the circumstances. April 24: Financial benefits and restructuring your work or service are out there today. April 25: Venus goes into Gemini bringing her favor and blessings to your thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and short journeys. Rethinking something that ties into your creative side, children or romantic interests is likely. Keep an eye on that career and status area for more hidden information to come forward that will be to your benefit. April 26: The urge to break free will be especially strong, especially if you're feeling restricted at work. April 28: Full Moon in Scorpio as described above. A good day for brainstorming with regard to what you really need in your life, which may or may not be more money. April 29: An excellent day for a short trip, for visiting with neighbors or siblings or simply doing a lot of thinking about what you really need. Think about the past, what it has taught you, and anything you need to rid yourself of in order to move forward. |
