Moon Void of Course Table

Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month the Full Moon on the 4th falls in your 6th House of work, health, and pets.  This house also has a lot to do with how you spend your time being productive in whatever manner that happens to take place.  A Full Moon typically heralds an ending or culmination of one phase and beginning of another, the latter of which is most likely the case this month since the themes found are largely repeated in the New Moon later in the month.  If your birthday is within a day or so of October 6 this lunation will be more noticeable though it will have some effect on all Libras.

Those of you who know something about astrology realize that your personal house structure is based on your ascendant, which depends on what time you were born.  These astrocasts are based on the Sun Sign astrological system where your first house is based on which the sign the Sun occupies on your chart.  I have found that for events that are somewhat beyond your control and occur in the world at large that this works quite well.  Those things about which you alone are in control are more readily identified with your personal birth information.

There are a few aspects accompanying this Full Moon that provide a few clues to its influence.  First of all Saturn and Uranus are in opposition.  Saturn is all about structure, responsibility, obligations, authority, delays and all those things that are necessary yet less than enchanting.  Saturn is in your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, transcendence, confinement, institutions and hidden enemies.  Obviously this is a bit of a "woo-woo" House that comprises numerous things of an unseen, psychological or intangible nature.  Saturn is a bit lost in this environment, as you can imagine, so his influence will largely be to draw your attention to it in what could be a heavy and perhaps even depressing way.  Uranus, on the other hand, is the planet who represents the unexpected, freedom, rebellion, surprises, disruptions and just about anything else you can think of that's antithetical to Saturn and he's in your 6th House of work, health and pets, the same sign as where the Full Moon occurs this month.  This is bound to make this part of your life chaotic and hectic.  This combination could easily be quite uncomfortable for Libras who strive for balance and fairness and thus seldom thrive on such a disorderly environment.  If you're feeling a bit lost and disconnected as well as bounced around quite a bit more than you'd prefer, then this pair is probably to blame.  Saturn is also a guilt monger who may be messing you up in that respect as well.

Neither of these influences is going to end anytime soon so about all you can do is find what lessons you can and then grin and bear it, knowing it isn't you but somewhat hostile transits.  You'll get a bit of a break in 2010 when Uranus leaves Pisces for a few months, but he'll return via retrograde motion delaying his departure until March 2011.  The good news is that indeed it will end but the bad news is that it's not in the immediate future.

Another opposition in force for this lunation is between Mars and Pluto.  The orb is a bit wide but influential nonetheless.  Both of these planets are generally classified in the malefic range though each does serve a positive purpose in its own way.  For example, Mars is great for a burst of energy when you need to get motivated and Pluto can have a healing effect when he forced you to confront issues that have been buried and ignored for too long and demands resolution.  Mars is in your 10th House of career and reputation which can certainly be useful if you're trying to get ahead in your job.

Pluto is in your 4th House of home environment which comprises your home itself as well as everyone and everything in it.  Pluto can operate somewhat like a backhoe unearthing various things for your perusal and he can also do such things as create problems in your home itself as far as things that are hidden are concerned.  For example, cockroach invasions, plumbing or electrical problems, foundation issues, or just about anything else that's not visible are all likely to occur, particularly when stimulated by a Mars opposition.  If you don't already have one, now is a good time to think about obtaining a home warranty plan and making sure your insurance is adequate to cover that sort of thing.  Another possibility is that unresolved issues at home drain your energy, making it more difficult to do your work and compete on the job.  The good news is that since the orb is wide that it will be short lived, for which you can be grateful.

Another aspect to look out for is a square between Mars and Mercury.  As noted earlier Mars is in your 10th House of career and reputation where he's spurring you on to advance yourself and obtain the recognition you deserve.  Mercury is in your 1st House of personality, enhancing your ability to communicate, which is already quite good due to the fact that Libra is an Air Sign.  However, in this case these two aren't working together.  Under this influence you're likely to be misunderstood, get your facts messed up and generally trip over yourself at every turn.  On the other hand, you can use this energy to get a lot done as far as gathering pertinent information and using it to your advantage.  It's probably just better that you keep quiet for now, work hard, and let your efforts speak for themselves.

There are two indicators that some adjustments or course changes are in order to which you should give some thought as well.  One is a quincunx between Venus and the Full Moon.  Venus is in your 11th House of friends, coworkers, group associations, organizations and even your hopes and wishes.  This is certainly a positive placement for the goddess of love which will bring you favor and good wishes from the people involved in those venues.  With the Full Moon in your 6th House of work this implies that there are good things at work though this may not necessarily relate to your career.  For example, you may be working a "day job" to pay the bills while wanting to pursue a career in an entirely different field.  In that case, things will be going quite well with your day job but not with your career aspirations.  You might want to give that some though, particularly if you're doing well in that day job; maybe that other career you have in mind really isn't worth the effort, at least for now.

Another quincunx between Saturn and Neptune also implies that some changes of course are appropriate at this time.  Saturn and Neptune get along about as well as Saturn and Uranus though in this case Neptune tends to dissolve any boundaries that Saturn tries to establish.  Neptune is also about delusion, illusion, idealism and various other things that are beyond the reach of reality.  The good news is that Neptune is in your 5th House of ego, children, romance, entertainment, speculation and creativity where a little bit of dreaminess can definitely be well-placed.  Thus, if you're a bit weighted down by Saturn who's imposing a bit more reality than you care to entertain, then escaping into a bit of a fantasy world through your creativity or just plain enjoying yourself is definitely a good idea.  Look to this for the balance you need to get through what are rather difficult times for most of us.  However, Neptune can also tend to dissolve our identity, so if you feel as if you're invisible sometimes or as if something is missing, this could well be the cause.

The New Moon on the 18th is a bit of a zinger that will occur in your 12th House which is already a bit crowded.  This Sun-Moon conjunction, the definition of a New Moon, is also conjoined with Saturn, further emphasizing all that seriousness and perhaps guilt that may be dragging you down.  Mercury is in there, too, and also retrograde, motivating you to reconsider, review, and rethink what's going on in this part of your life.  If you've been neglecting your spirituality then it's time to figure out how to feed it appropriately.  Also included in this house, as noted earlier, are such things as a sense of confinement, being trapped, or under attack by unseen forces.

Opposite all this is disruptive Uranus in your 6th House of work and health.  These are going to bounce against those other issues in one way or another, perhaps making you truly wonder what the heck you're doing and why.  Another aspect tied into this lunation is a square between Pluto, Mercury and the New Moon.  As noted earlier, Pluto is in your 4th House of home environment, so this connect with hidden elements in your 12th could very well stir up some of those household nuisances mentioned earlier, particularly since Mercury rules mechanical things and is retrograde.

Neptune is at it as well in a quincunx with the New Moon and Saturn, though these adjustments could be a good thing, providing you with a pleasant escape from those things that are weighing you down.  Sometimes it seems as if the Universe's entire raison d'etre is to make us miserable, though this is seldom the case.  Rather, we are expected to find the relevant lessons, armor ourselves with a positive attitude and look for the roses and ignore the thorns.  Finding viable coping mechanisms during hard times is a very valuable skill so take a good look at such things.  Neptune is also opposite Venus, which could actually infuse a bit of extra creativity into your group activities and make it more pleasant for all concerned.  Last but far from least is the lone trine that lies between Pluto and Venus.  This implies that a solution to some of your dilemmas may be to call upon your friends to help if and when any of those Plutonian invasions come upon you.

Short-term and Daily Aspects

September 1 - 3:  Any creative ideas you come up with today may tend to be a bit over-inflated so don't be surprised if they get shot down by the powers that be.  Your friends and coworkers should offer some unexpected encouragement, however, so don't let it get you down too much.  Chances are they just didn't understand what you really were trying to say.

September 4:  Full Moon today as described above.

September 7:  Mercury goes retrograde today.  This will make communicating even more difficult.  Also make a note not to buy anything of an electronic or mechanical nature until after September 28.  Revising, editing, rethinking and research are all appropriate activities at this time.

September 8 - 10:  Your friends may be able to help you through any old baggage from the past.  Your creativity should help today as far as those career ambitions are concerned.  Women you work with may be more annoying than usual, so lay low and avoid them if you can.  Pluto goes direct on the 10th after several months of retrograde motion.  This will help bring some of those ruminations related to your home to the surface or reveal any hidden problems that heretofore have been a mystery.

September 11:  The demands of friends, particularly of the female variety, may keep you from something you'd rather be doing or discourage you in some way.  Don't take it too seriously.  If there was any grain of truth in what they advised you'll be able to identify it and apply it accordingly.

September 12 - 14:  Compromises between your dreams and reality may be something to consider.  As a Libra you excel at balancing things out so give it a shot; you have nothing to lose but the frustration.  Big ideas aren't necessarily as unattainable as you may think.

September 15:  Unexpected events related to work or possibly your health are possible today.  Don't blind yourself to forces that may be trying to undermine you or make excuses for people who are not your friend.  A change of course may be called for if your social life isn't getting you where you want to be.

September 16 - 17:  Demands from friends, particularly female ones, may be annoying today.  The aspects today and at other times this month may institute a bit of an identity crisis.  Try to be less concerned with others' opinion and discover what you really believe on your own, especially as it pertains to work or any projects you're pursuing.  Problems at home you were unaware of could surface today as well.  Nonetheless, expect some insights into what is bothering you.

September 18:  New Moon today as described above.  Mercury also backs into Virgo, further helping you identify what is going on beneath the surface that has been nagging on you.

September 19 - 21:  Additional insights into why you may feel confined or empty are forthcoming and may relate to something back in your childhood or early homelife that you had long forgotten, yet requires resolution.  Take a look at those career ambitions again, also, to make sure you're going in the right direction.

September 22- 23:  The Sun goes into Libra today which should help you focus more clearly on what you're looking for.  If you haven't already identified whatever that past issue is that you need to resolve, it may come out today.  You may even experience some physical symptoms that are unexplainable until you get past it.  An adjustment to your self-image is in order.  Librans frequently struggle with who they really are and base their perceptions on how others see them more than they should.  How well do you know yourself?

September 24 - 30:  You may want to think about your career goals long and hard, especially if they don't satisfy your need for creativity and beauty.  If you're in a job that lacks these elements it could be the root of your frustration, even if consciously you think you like your job.  Once you identify how you really feel it will be a lot easier to set appropriate goals and aspirations.  Mercury goes direct on September 28 which will help you gather together all your thoughts on the subject and determine the best way to go forward.
