Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon on the 4th falls in Aries, your 7th House of close relationships. This is the zodiacal house that Libra rules and is an important part of your life. Libras thrive on their interactions with others, without which you tend you feel quite lost and alone. Remember that in the astrological context "relationship" include close friends and relatives, significant others, business partners, cliental if you're in business for yourself, and open enemies/competitors. A Full Moon brings a culmination which can be an ending or sometimes the closure of one phase in preparation for a new one. As always, there are various clues regarding what to expect within the aspects accompanying the lunation. Most obvious is a Yod, also known as a Finger of God, that comprises Mars and Mercury in sextile at the base and Neptune connected to them via dual quincunxes at the eye. As a whole, this aspect pattern typically points us toward something that is going to require some adjustments or course changes from where we are presently. Mars is in your 10th House of career, reputation and status motivating action there and Mercury is facilitating communications in your 12th House of enlightenment, dreams, transcendence, inspiration, confinement, institutions and hidden enemies. Status in the 10th House sense comprises numerous things you may not be aware of, since "status" is a fairly ambiguous word. For example, when you graduate from high school or college, become engaged, get married, have a child, buy your first house, get your first job, get promoted (or conversely, fired), run for public office, and so forth, these all reflect as status changes. In many cases a title or label is associated with them, such as graduate, parent, homeowner, employee, elected official, and so forth. So don't forget to tie these types of activities and achievements into this as well. If you put Mars and Mercury together in a positive way, this could indicate some inspired career moves or revelations with respect to what you really want to do with your life. Neptune at the eye is in your 5th House of creativity, ego-expression, entertainment, children, romance and speculation. Neptune is the dispenser of rose-colored glasses, inspires our dreams, and dissolves boundaries, opening up new vistas of imagination. He is rather comfortable in the creative 5th House where some imagination is quite useful provided you don't become too idealistic or delusional. In the context of this yod, however, especially since he's tied in with Mercury in your 12th House which is Neptune's natural zodiacal home, this looks like some significant inspirational ideas related to your career or status. You're going to be dreaming and fantasizing about something and pushing for it to happen, and in view of the fact that the Full Moon itself is in your house of relationships, this is likely to tie in there as well. Other aspects complementing all this include some opposition between Mercury and Uranus where those inspired ideas may encounter some obstacles either through unexpected events at work or perhaps with your health. Saturn is throwing some resistance in there as well, though he's probably trying to impose boundaries on something that's boundless. Saturn is also squaring Pluto in your 4th House of home environment where the two of them are probably trying to unearth something from your past that has been confining you in some way. Other indications involving the North Node of the Moon, which is an indicator of something new coming into your life or a new direction, are positive, however, and indicate you'll be able to synthesize all this information and move forward. There are also positive indicators that have the potential for an unexpected turn with your job and any career ambitions you may have. Inspiration and creativity are combining as well to help you move in a new direction. Just remember that dreams can come true and move forward accordingly. The New Moon on October 18th is in your Sign and if your birthday is within a day or so of that day this lunation will have even more impact on your life as far as something new coming your way. The New Moon itself, which comprises a conjunction of the Sun and Moon, is quincunx Uranus in your 6th House of work, health and pets. Work in this context can be not only your day job, but any projects you may be working on as well as any other activity where you're actively producing something, even if you aren't getting paid for it. In fact, service resides in the 6th as well. A quincunx, as noted earlier, denotes a change of course or adjustment, so this truly seems to be reinforcing the messages contained with the Full Moon. The New Moon is also squaring the North Node, which as noted earlier signifies something new coming into your life, and its presence in your 4th House implies this will have something to do with your homelife. The square implies that it will present a bit of a challenge, however, which is going to require some effort on your part. With Pluto in your 4th House of home environment, you can expect that you're going to be discovering all sort of things to work with over the next several years that hail from your past and have not been fully resolved. Pluto transits are ultimately healing in their effect, but can be complicated if you resist their promptings to deal with such things. This is where you're going to have to stretch your spirit and leave some of your old beliefs and paradigms behind if you want to move forward. Your attachment and feelings toward some people in your life may change in the process, but will be necessary in order to progress. Opportunities await, however, that will lead you somewhere you've been wanting to go. New vistas of creativity will open for you as well as increased understanding of yourself, what you want in life, and how to get it. It will be easier to understand any past disappointments as well and you'll be able to determine how you may have contributed to them, if you're willing to open yourself up to this information and be as objective as possible. Communicating your ideas will to well, helping you achieve understanding that had previously been elusive. There is a lot going on this month, not all of it will be easy or without challenges, but be prepared to move forward in a new direction. Short-term and Daily Aspects October 1: Your drive to accomplish something that will bring you a deep feeling of doing something good for someone else is out there today. Think about times when you needed a helping hand and see if you can help someone out in a similar situation. October 4: Full Moon today as described above. October 8 - 9: Ruminations regarding what you can do to develop a more structured spiritual life will be active on the 8th. The next day an unexpected chance to provide an act of service for someone will arise, but it might not be convenient. Do it anyway. You'll be glad you did. Mercury goes into Libra on the 9th, also, helping you communicate effectively with those around you. October 10: You may be in the spotlight today so be ready to smile a lot. Go ahead and take the credit you deserve. Don't let any old issues from the past keep you from enjoying some kudos. October 12: Jupiter goes direct today, which will help you feel a bit more comfortable in the limelight and feel good about yourself in a variety of ways. Pursuing something that will elevate your status in some manner will also bring some inspiration or enlightenment. October 13: More inspiration regarding ways you can grow personally and help others is likely along with the ambition to get busy doing so. October 14 - 15: Venus, your Sign Ruler, goes into Libra on the 14th which will help you present yourself in a very pleasing manner. Your natural charm will be enhanced to a high degree and others will be very receptive to anything you say. Ponderings relative to your home life, probably when you were a child, will keep surfacing as well. October 16: Mars goes into Leo on the 16th, which will boost his energy substantially as he goes into your 11th House of friends, groups, associations, goals, hopes and wishes. This will give you plenty of drive to engage in activities in this part of your life. Adjustments to your work schedule may be required unexpectedly. You imagination and creativity will be very active today so be sure to indulge it in some way either with a creative project, a good book, going to a movie or some other endeavor you enjoy. October 18: New Moon today as noted above. October 20: Creative ideas, a romantic encounter, or simply having a good time are greatly favored today. October 23 - 24: The Suns goes into Scorpio, your 2nd House of finances, possessions, needs, and pleasures on the 23rd, highlighting this area of your life for the next month. Focusing on this part of you life with regard to your past could bring an unexpected opportunity to understand something that had escaped you before. Don't be too hard on yourself if you perceive it to be a mistake on your part. Just rectify it, if possible, and move on. October 28: Mercury goes into Scorpio today, facilitating communications, thoughts, and ideas related to your personal values and possessions. You will be perceived by others in a very favorable way today. Soak up the positive vibes to build up your self-confidence to enable you to take on some of the things you've been considering lately. Use the past in a positive way rather than as a whipping post. October 29: Saturn goes into Libra which will bring increased perseverance and ambition your way to apply to anything you want to accomplish.
