This month the daily action is going to involve a lot of interactions in your relationships while a couple of those long-term aspects will be working behind the scenes in other areas of your life. As noted last month, Saturn has been in Virgo, your 6th House of work, health, and pets, for several months. Saturn is one of those planets that is usually less than enchanting and tends to be a stern task master who reminds us quite forcefully of anything you're not taking seriously enough or full-out neglecting. If work has seemed particularly onerous or your health hasn't been as good as it's been in the past, this is more than likely the cause. During October Saturn is going to be opposing Uranus, who's in your 12th House of inspiration, dreams, spirituality, and hidden enemies.

Uranus is the planet or surprises, disruptions, and unexpected events and also tends to stir up rebellious feelings. This opposition could play out in any number of ways and when Uranus is involved it's particularly hard to predict since by nature his influence is unexpected. However, tying this element of surprise into Saturn in your house of work and health suggests something could arise at work that you're not expecting. It could also be a health issue. If perchance you're not very happy with your job, I suspect that this could represent a revelation of some description that gives you the impetus you need to move on to something else. If you have a general personality clash with either your job description or the people you work with, chances are good that this month you'll decide enough is enough and start taking steps toward the door. Since this will be in effect all month, it will probably offer a host of reminders and insights to help you figure out any changes that need to be made in that part of your life. While Uranus can be disruptive and take us by surprise, he is also the planet of change, so this could simply indicate that now is the time to move on something you've been planning for a long time.

Also in effect all month is a nice, friendly trine between Jupiter and Saturn. If this sounds familiar, you're absolutely right, because it was in effect last month as well. Jupiter tends to expand what he touches and even though Saturn has a malefic reputation, this combination is likely to be beneficial. This is especially true in this instance since Jupiter is in your 10th House of career and reputation. "Work" may be your day job and how you earn your paycheck, but your career is where you leave your mark on the world. This implies that you may be getting an extra leg-up from the Universe in moving toward what you'd really like to be when you grow up. Combine this with that Saturn - Uranus opposition and you may get a surprise opportunity that you'd do well to give serious consideration.

During the first week of the month, Mars, your Sign Ruler, will sextile Pluto. At that time Mars will be in your polar sign, Libra, throwing energy toward your 7th House of relationships. Meanwhile, Pluto will be languishing in your 9th House of academia, long distance travel, beliefs, and legal matters. Remember that "relationships" includes all one-on-one interactions, such as close friends and relatives as well as business associates. This aspect presents an opportunity to pursue a relationship that could prove beneficial in one of those 9th House arenas.

From October 3 - 11, the Sun will square Jupiter. The Sun is also in your 7th House of relationships, bringing a lot of emphasis to this part of your life. As noted earlier, Jupiter is in your 10th House of career and reputation. Jupiter usually is quite nice to have around, but this could work against you if you're over-confident or too aggressive. This also has the potential to throw a conflict of some description in there regarding one of your relationships that could affect a career opportunity. Perhaps a chance to expand your career will involve a move or lots of travel that won't go over too well with the people in your life.

From October 10 - 18 the Sun will trine Neptune. This should help garner some inspiration that should come in handy if you're trying to find creative solutions to any challenges that come your way in the relationship area. Neptune is in your 11th House of groups, organizations, and hopes and wishes, so maybe this inspiration will come through one of those venues.

Right after that the Sun will sextile Pluto, from October 19 - 28. This looks like another opportunity to work on any old, unresolved issues that you've been trying to sweep under the rug. The Sun goes into Scorpio on the 24th, which will shift the energy from your relationships to personal transformation. Some of your beliefs may be affected such that you change your view of the world just a bit. At any rate, this should be helpful in some way, particularly since it never hurts to get rid of things that no longer serve a useful purpose. The New Moon on October 28 also indicates something is developing relative to some significant personal change, particularly considering that the Full Moon on the 14th is in your 1st House of personality, calling attention to you at a personal level as well.

The month closes with your buddy, Mars, in a nice sextile with Jupiter. Remember that after October 5th Mars is in your 8th House of transformation and Jupiter is in your 10th of career. This sounds like yet another opportunity to figure out exactly what you want to do and then move in that direction. Rams tend to be impulsive and don't need to be told twice to take action. If you've forced yourself to be more conservative over the years, this is all well and good, but this month is looks like following your instincts will probably serve you well.
