This month a thought or idea that you've been brooding over for at least a month will culminate with the Full Moon on the 14th. This could mean it's complete or simply entering a new phase. There's a lot going on in your 9th House of beliefs, long-distance travel, legal matters, and higher education as well as a month-long aspect that will have a transformational effect on you in some way.

During the first week of October Mars will sextile Pluto. A sextile tends to generate an opportunity and with these two astrological powerhouses involved, it should be a good one. Your drive to accomplish something in the 9th House arena, which includes legal matters, higher education, long-distance travel and relocation as well as your beliefs will receive some assistance from your vast network of friends and associates or organizational connections. This could come from someone who wields some power or it could also simply be increased insights and understanding within yourself of what your long-term hopes and wishes entail.

Note, however, that Mercury is retrograde for the first half of the month. This does not bode well for making significant progress in this or any other area until after October 14. Bear in mind that this is good for something, however, and that is to review, re-plan, reconsider, and re-evaluate your thoughts and planned actions. Also remember not to buy any mechanical or electronic items during that time as they'll run a higher risk than usual of being a lemon. Communications of all types, including email, cell phones, TV and so forth are likely to be honked up in some way.

The planetary configuration that will be in effect all month is a Triangle of Potential between Saturn, Uranus, and Jupiter. Saturn has been strolling through Virgo, your 8th House of sex, death, other peoples' money, and transformations, for over a year. Since he isn't exactly the party animal of the zodiacal set, this has probably represented some difficult times. Stern task-master that he is, if there's anything we need to learn about structure, discipline, responsibility or obligations, he's going to rub your nose in it through whatever means necessary until you figure it out. Since the 8th House includes other people's money, this could have affected your credit as well.

Your Sign Ruler, Uranus, however, is Saturn's antithesis. As the planet of sudden change, unexpected events, surprises, rebellion, and disruptions, he's as unstable and unpredictable as Saturn is stable and predictable. With this bad boy loose in your 2nd House of finances, possessions, and pleasures, more than likely this part of your life hasn't exactly been a cake-walk, either. Even if you are very diligent with your budget and finances chances are that chaos has reigned in this area of your life due to unexpected expenses, items breaking down, stock market crashes, car wrecks, hurricanes, and so forth.

When you face off Saturn and Uranus in this context it's hard to tell which one to root for as neither is particularly enchanting. It's a battle of the Titans with you caught somewhere in the middle. About all you can do as this battle comes to a climax of some description is to assess what you've learned through it all, how you've changed, and what you're going to do differently in the future. Jupiter, as the third party in all this, will help with this part from your 12th House of inspiration, dreams, and spirituality. Jupiter expands and inflates what he touches, so whether or not you're aware of it, you've undergone some spiritual growth and redefinition of your dreams during this time, which will now use this other conflict to affirm where you're going.

From October 3 - 11 the Sun will square Jupiter, which may throw in some new considerations along with some resistance to the changes you need to make, but this will work itself out by month's end. More specifically, between October 22 - 31 Mars will sextile Jupiter, which will throw some additional energy toward your goal. This may present itself as an opportunity generated via your network of friends and associates. At this point you'll have a better sense of direction than you've had for quite a while. There are career implications in all of this as well, including the New Moon on the 28th in this area along with Venus' presence there as well, which is another lucky omen that tends to assure we're well-perceived.

From October 10 - 18 the Sun will trine Neptune, which will enhance your beliefs and define your vision for where you want to go and what you want to do. Neptune is in your 1st House of personality, which can give us great dreams and visions regarding who and what we are as well as delusions. This harmonious aspect with the Sun, however, should give a glimpse of your potential that will provide some added inspiration for future endeavors.

Right after that, between October 19 - 28, the Sun will sextile Pluto. This will reinforce the events that occurred during the first week of the month when an opportunity came your way. During this time the Sun will highlight your beliefs and anything else going on in your 9th House (i.e. legal matters, higher education, long-distance travel, etc.) then move into your 10th House of career on the 24th, implying either more or continued assistance from your connections or perhaps simply further commitment to fulfill your hopes and wishes.

This should be a very active and significant month for you in a variety of venues. It's important to look at the lessons from the past year and integrate them into your vision for the future. Assistance is out there for the asking as well as a lot of energy fueling your personal drive. Saturn is going to be working more transformations for you over the next year, but you're halfway there and at a decision point. Make it a good one.
