Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month the Full Moon on the 2nd occurs in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, cultural interactions, legal matters, long-distance travel and relocation. A Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination, or shifting to a new phase of something in the House in which it occurs. Thus, take a look at what's going on in this part of your life and expect some changes. Bear in mind that the Sun is transiting your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and short journeys for most of the month and that a Full Moon is an opposition by definition between the Sun and Moon. Thus, both of these Houses will be strongly influenced and contain a lot of mental activity and their outgrowth to your beliefs and actions. Mars is forming a T-Square with the Full Moon, which introduces some conflict from your 12th House of dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, confinement, institutions, and hidden enemies. This could come in the form of differences between your spiritual values and your conscious beliefs, conflicts between your dreams and expectations, or even action on the part of those who do not have your best interest at heart. Hidden enemies are exactly that, not obviously in your face and sometimes even disguised as friends. However, they will undermine you whenever and however they can, even if they do it with a smile, so watch your back. Venus is in your 2nd House making numerous aspects, which is likely to be a good thing. Your 2nd House encompasses your finances, things that your value such as your possessions, as well as your needs, pleasures and how you earn your living. Her very presence there should bring good things your way in that regard. She is forming a T-Square with the Lunar Nodes as well, which will bring something new into your life as something else fades away. A T-Square is often challenging, such as the one with Mars noted above, but with Venus involved, it should be more pleasant. One way the influences may show up is as changes related to your group interactions. You may direct your time toward more personal endeavors such as pursuing something of a creative nature, spending time with your children or romantic interests, enjoying yourself, some form of self-expression, or even engaging in some sort of speculations. Another possibility is that one of your goals will either change or be fulfilled and you'll move on to other things. Finding yourself and being less dependent on others is another possible manifestation. It's also interesting to note that Uranus, planet of change and surprises, is sextile the North Node, indicating an opportunity for a new relationship to come into your life. Uranus is tied into Venus as well via quincunx, an aspect that typically denotes a change of course or adjustment. Venus is also trining both Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. "the wounded healer." Trines are harmonious aspects and both Neptune and Chiron are located in your 6th House of work, health and pets. This is the House that Virgo rules zodiacally, so it contains elements with which you're not only familiar but quite fond. As the Full Moon occurs, Neptune is getting ready to come out of retrograde and go direct, which will release his energy to more external expression. In other words, dreams or inspiration you may have had will come to the surface such that you can see things more clearly and work toward them in a more direct manner. This is likely to have a favorable effect on your finances as well. In other words, you may have some inspirational idea related to your work or pursuits that will pay off. The trine to Chiron implies that past disappointments may be resolved in some manner or that you may be able to assist someone who's having problems such as you've had in the past. Saturn and Pluto are squared off all month so this aspect is included in both the Full and New Moon. These two bad boys in hard aspect are likely to bring some challenges that will most likely reflect in your finances and self-expression. Saturn just entered Libra, your 2nd House of finance and such, in late October, and will remain there for about two and a half years. During this time he'll be restructuring this part of your life, instilling more discipline as required, and mentoring you with regard to how you handle your money and material possessions. Most Virgos are reasonable strong in this area, being practical and meticulous by nature and if this is the case it shouldn't be particularly onerous. Saturn is a good partner to have when pursuing your ambitions since he instills numerous qualities necessary for success. He often brings delays, especially when he's retrograde, which will occur between mid-January and May 2010, so don't plan to make much progress during that time. However, it will be useful for figuring out where you stand and what needs to be done to achieve your goals. Pluto has stepped back into Capricorn, this time for quite a lengthy stay. Capricorn is your 5th House of creativity, children, ego expression, romance, speculation and entertainment as noted earlier. This house is really all about you and those things that define who and what you are. If there is anything artificial about you, Pluto will be stripping away the facades. This has the potential to become what is commonly known as an "identity crisis." However, bear in mind that astrological transits are most noticeable when we need them. If we have our act together they often pass unnoticed. Another positive note is that if your birthday is between August 23 - 27, this will form a trine aspect with your Natal Sun, making the energy harmonious and thus more comfortable. If there's anything in this part of your life where there are unresolved issues, this will help flush them out for resolution. If you are on any kind of an ego trip, this will bring you down to Earth and put you on firmer ground. Ego trips are often the result of not really knowing ourselves and our inherent value as well as we should. This will ultimately make you more secure and genuine and rid you of at least some of your tendency to be a people pleaser. Virgos are perfectionists by nature and this will put that into perspective as well. And thus shines this month's Full Moon. The New Moon on the 16th occurs in Scorpio, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. This should bring something new into this part of your life. One caution, however, in that this lunation is square both Neptune and Chiron in your 6th House of work, health and pets. Neptune will tend to make you too idealistic, which blends all too well with Virgo perfectionism. Expecting perfection in the workplace works about as well as expecting it at home. Chiron could set you up for some disappointments or other unpleasant experiences, particularly if you try to impose your ideas on others too forcefully; remember the lessons coming your way from Pluto. On the positive side, your Sign Ruler, Mercury, is in your 4th House of home environment, facilitating ideas and communications in that venue. He's sextile Saturn, which will give you guidance, ideas, and information pertaining to that remodeling project that involves your finances and possessions. Also on the positive side, there's a sextile pattern between the New Moon, Uranus, and the North Node. The New Moon is bringing new ideas or neighbors your way that will provide opportunities for something new to come into your life with regard to your creativity, ego expression, kids, romantic interests and such that reside in the 5th House and these in turn will bring about significant change and some surprises of a positive nature in your relationships. There will be various annoyances and frustrations during November, but with all that's going on that's to be expected. If your birthday is right around September 15 - 17 these events will be more significant. Short Term Aspects November 1: Be cautious of any self-defeating thoughts or actions as well as anyone trying to undermine you. If you're trying to pursue one of your dreams, expect resistance. November 2: Full Moon today as noted above. November 3: Neptune comes out of retrograde and goes direct, making it easier to define events and circumstances surrounding you relative to work or your health. Be wary of being too idealistic. November 5 - 6: This is a time of clear and strong ideas. Mental clarity will be high and it will be easy to define what you want to accomplish. However, if they involve your finances in any way, putting them into action will be difficult. November 7: Venus goes into Scorpio, bringing pleasant thoughts and optimism your way. However, you may encounter issues from your past that hinder your progress, particularly if you lack self-confidence or have had negative experiences that generate pessimism. November 8: Irritating thoughts or information relative to your financial situation are likely. Thoughts related to expanding your role or a project at work are likely to cause tension. If your ego is picking up too much momentum, someone or something is going to throw a flag. Opportunities for seeing yourself and your motivations more clearly should be pondered carefully. November 10 -11: Work or job conflicts or difficulties are likely due to external resistance. Be willing to listen and display flexibility; remember it's hard to push a rope. Your ideas will have an unexpected effect of a positive nature on one or more of your relationships. Remember not to be too idealistic. November 14: Projecting optimism will generate surprising results with those close to you; you'll be seen in a very favorable light. November 15: Mercury goes into Sagittarius today, facilitating communications and ideas relative to your homelife. This is a favorable day to start looking at those financial issues and any hang-ups you may have that relate to them. Don't be surprised if you're discouraged by what you see. You probably aren't seeing them as they really are. November 16: New Moon today as described above. November 19 - 21: Watch your back for someone trying to undermine you today and whatever you do, don't give them a stick to beat you with. Interactions with the opposite sex are likely to be tense as well. The Sun goes into Sagittarius on the 21st, bringing emphasis to your home life. Don't take any annoying thoughts about your finances personally but look to the past for their true cause. November 23: Watch your back again today as a female neighbor or coworker may try to hold you back from what you want to accomplish. Again, keep your ego under wraps. If your children or romantic interests have been hiding anything, they are likely to come out. November 24 - 25: Favorable ideas and opportunities to make progress on your financial situation are out there on the 24th. Someone close to you is likely to provide assistance. November 26: Make it a point to use your home as your haven today. Seek inspiration and insights residing in your higher self. Watch out for deception at work or unrealistic ideas related to it. November 29: Ideas generated at home or provided by a family member may be the answer for expanding your work situation. Consider whether you're holding yourself back in some way, perhaps through how you express yourself. November 30: Unexpected arguments either with or regarding someone close to you are likely on the home front. Take a chill pill and be sure to spend as much time listening as you do talking.
