Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month both Mercury and Neptune join the Retro crowd, internalizing their energies along with Saturn and Pluto. This means that their expression will be more within our psyche as opposed to our conscious minds, except for Mercury who generally messes with our mind during that time since we will encounter various inconveniences. Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo, which comprise mental activity and physical activity, respectively. In other words, data exchanges of all descriptions, whether face to face verbally or file download over the Internet will not be functioning as well as usual and mechanical items such as your car or home appliances won't be running their best, either. When you buy something, thus taking possession of it, as crazy as this sounds, that item is "born" and imprinted with a birth chart that comprises the transits in effect at that moment, so if you buy something that deals with data or mechanical movement during a Mercury RX period, it is imprinted with those unfavorable vibes for the entire time you own it. So, if you're in the market for one of these items, either purchase it before May 6 or after May 30, or you probably won't like how it turns out. Neptune retrograde in Aquarius will direct our innermost thoughts to others and while we may be a bit too idealistic in our considerations, it should nonetheless have a positive effect on how charitable we are collectively. Volunteerism should increase as a result and much good should be accomplished. In effect all month is a triple conjunction between Jupiter, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron. This blending of energy will kick start these benevolent Neptunian effects, which will be particularly noticeable to Pisces since Neptune is your Sign Ruler. Jupiter influences our social disposition including our core beliefs and expectations which, combined with idealistic Neptune in the house of friends, organizations, and hopes and wishes will improve upon our optimism. Chiron is right in the middle of things, however, and he influences the various wounds we suffer of either an emotional or physical nature. The implication here is that our charitable inclinations will either be directed primarily toward those who are hurting in some way or perhaps our charitable actions will help heal some of our own. The principle behind Chiron is that we help others with wounds similar to our own, which usually works out quite well because it's something we understand due to our own experiences. Expect to change your way of thinking due to events or experiences you encounter this month that utilize these energies. Note that this triple conjunction is occurring in your 12th House of enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, confinement and institutions. This is also Pisces zodiacal home, so this will affect your at a deep level and should even provide some of that spiritual escape that Pisces live for. The Full Moon on May 8th is in Scorpio, your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, legal matters, higher education, religion, and long distance travel. If your birthday is within a day or so of March 9th this will a particularly stimulating effect on your mental processes. New thoughts and ideas will come your way which will ultimately change some of your beliefs, which derive from what we think and believe to be true. Stability and simplifying our life are themes that will have new meaning and we'll want to move forward accordingly, which is most likely to happen sometime after May 16 when Saturn goes direct after over five months in reverse. Deep changes in relationships are another theme of this lunation. Remember if you're feeling insecure, the natural tendency is to hold on tighter, but this doesn't work for relationships where it usually has the opposite effect, to drive the person further from us. The productive action would be to confront the actual issues and resolve them directly. Relationships evolve and grow like people because that what a relationship is, the interaction between you and those close to you. Thus as the individuals involved change, so will the relationship. If you're not moving forward, you're moving backward; there is no standing still, so if it's a relationship you want to hang onto address the challenges and correct them so it can grow and not stagnate. The New Moon on May 24th occurs in Gemini, your 4th House of home environment, which will bring deep insights as well. At this time that triple conjunction is exact, so it will flavor this New Moon. Your spiritual nature is likely to receive a boost from this that will impact your life in a significant way. New Moons initiate something new in our lives so this will start something new related to your home life. Adjustments to your life outside home will occur due to some of those deep introspections being dredged up by Pluto. A reassessment of your spiritual values is one possibility. Money and relationships will be under the microscope as well with opportunities to deepen your perceptions of both. Mars and Venus are in conjunction in Aries all month which will bring plenty of energy to male - female relationships. This will accentuate the good as well as any challenges, further encouraging any heart-to-heart talks that need to happen, pleasant or otherwise. Short-term Aspects The month starts out with Venus squaring Pluto, which will be in force for several days and be largely what's behind those relationship issues noted earlier. Any hidden problems, secrets, or issues swept under the rug should come out during that time. If nothing comes to mind, take a look at your finances, which should be a target-rich environment these days, or perhaps your group associations, which may be taking too much of your time or perhaps more interaction is called for at this time. Whatever it happens to be, it's in your best interest to take care of business and not ignore it. Between May 1 - 10, expect to be dealing with a lot of relationship issues as well. In this case it's about any restructuring that needs to be done. Bear in mind that relationships in this context, and all previous ones, don't necessary apply exclusively to your significant other but include close friends and relatives, business partners, and if you're in business for yourself, your clientele. This is a harmonious aspect that implies that it's a favorable time to do some brainstorming with those close to you and perhaps putting some agreements in place relative to future actions. Right around the 11th you'll need to address some financial issues that may also spill over into your relationships. Some adjustments or a change of course will be required. A few days either side of May 16th, your thoughts will be directed toward spiritual issues. As a Pisces, you thrive on experiences of a transcendental nature and if you're not getting enough of this spiritual "food" you will not be functioning at top level. Now is a good time to look at your time commitment to this part of your life and a chance to change things accordingly. On the other hand, if you're spending too much time daydreaming or escaping reality, then now is the time to think about that as well. If you don't know which side of the bar you're on, ask your significant other. Opportunities for change are there for the taking, so take advantage of them. Rethinking a few things will be favored right around this same time. Moving forward isn't likely since Mercury goes retrograde on the 14th, but it's a good time to go back to the drawing board, edit, re-plan, or in general take a second look at whatever you have in-work. Between May 16 - 25, be particularly careful regarding any business deals. Confusion is likely because your thinking is not going to be very clear. Deception is also possible and if you're the one trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes, you can bet that it's going to come back and bite you. Make every effort to communicate clearly, which will be a challenge, and don't be too trusting, either. This is a favorable time for studying and understanding esoterical subjects or even daydreaming, but getting in touch with the real world isn't going to be easy. Your beliefs are being affected during this time as well. A Catch-22 situation may also arise in one or more of your relationships about this same time. Opportunities from changing your way of thinking about a few things are out there, so maintain an open mind. From May 20 - 28, give or take a day, more adjustments will be required relative to the time you spend at home versus others, including clubs, organizations, friends, coworkers, and so forth. Your hopes and wishes may also need to be tweaked. During this same timeframe, opportunities to move forward with some of those inspired ideas will come your way, but be particularly careful to not get too carried away or believe everything you think, hear or see. This promises to be a busy month, but the emphasis is largely on your spiritual values and all other 12th House matters which include dreams, the collective consciousness, hidden enemies, institutions, and confinement.
