There are two aspects in effect all month that are going to be helping you direct some concentrated efforts toward transforming either your job or health issues as they relate to your finances. Pluto, the Zodiacal Roto-Rooter, moved into Capricorn, your Natural 6th House of work, health, and pets back in January. Pluto's mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to uproot and examine issues in this part of your life that require some serious transformation, a process that will take several years. Your best bet is to look upon this as if you were re-landscaping your entire yard, front and back. Every existing tree, shrub, rock, lawn ornament and patio is going to be razed, after which a master landscape architect will come in and help you rework the entire thing. During the renovation phase things will be a mess and you'll often wonder what you were thinking to take on such a project. Nonetheless, with a lot of work and patience, when all is said and done you'll have the yard of your dreams.

Of course in the case of a planetary transit you don't have the option of saying no. You can try to ignore it, but this will only make things worse because no matter how big or important you may think you are, the planets are definitely much more influential than you are. I know that's a very difficult principle for a Leo to accept, but trust me on that one. Going with the flow is going to get you a lot farther than trying to swim upstream. If, per chance, this area of your life is in perfect shape, then this will hardly be noticeable. But if there's work to be done, you may as well make up your mind now to go with it as it will be a lot less painful in the long-run than kicking and screaming in protest. Pluto will look upon you as a two-year-old having a tantrum in the doctor's office because you don't want to get a shot. He'll patiently wait for you to calm down and go quietly to face the inevitable. So you may as well accept it and take advantage of what is going to ultimately be for your benefit, even though you probably can't see or understand it any more than a toddler understands that needle is really his or her friend.

During May Pluto will trine Saturn, who's in your 2nd House of financial matters, possessions and pleasures. Saturn is all about discipline, responsibility, structure and authority. In this House he'll be functioning as a very stuffy and wise accountant who'll be assessing everything about how you handle your money. His partner in this effort will be Pluto, who knows everything about what's going on with your job and/or health. Now your accountant probably doesn't give a rat's ass about your health, except perhaps how you manage your health insurance and pay for medical care. Note that also in your 2nd House are such things as pleasures, comforts, fine foods and so forth, all those cozy luxuries that make life worth living. So this cosmic team will be examining how your work relates to your finances and/or how your health relates to how well you take care of your need to relax, or some combination thereof. Note that a trine is a harmonious aspect so this energy flow will be quite easy and favorable. Are you working too hard and not taking the time you should to renew yourself? Or are you not working hard enough and spending too much on fluff? Are you taking good care of yourself physically? Are you struggling with some sort of illness that has an emotional basis?

Saturn will help you with your finances and balancing not only your checkbook but your need to take care of yourself with an appropriate level of rest and relaxation. There are numerous significant ties between your 2nd and 6th Houses and there couldn't be a better planetary team to help you get things in order, especially with Saturn in meticulous Virgo and Pluto in stuffy Capricorn. Take advantage of this assistance by putting in some time figuring out what needs to be done in these areas to get where you want to be.

Also during May Jupiter, also in your 6th House of work and health, will be throwing a nice sextile to Uranus, who's hanging out in your 8th House of sex, death, other people's resources, and transformation. Sextiles usually bring opportunities, so keep an eye out for something to come along to further assist you in the work/health area. Uranus is the planet of rebellion, change, and the unexpected and while these are sometimes annoying, they can also mean a positive shift in a new direction. Surprises can be either good or bad, and in sextile to Jupiter, it should ultimately be good. This could mean such things as an opportunity for a new job or promotion, but require you to make a major change within yourself regarding your confidence or attitude in order to qualify. Maybe you've been looking for a certain type of job and being the Fixed Sign that you are, flexibility isn't something you usually employ. However, if you're willing to humble yourself and be willing to try something new and different, there may be a pot of gold at the end if you're willing to take that chance. Alternately, if you have an idea you've been wanting to get off the ground, you may find an "angel", meaning an investor, who will help you et off the ground. The possibilities are as numerous as there are Leos, so only you can put this together and figure out how it applies to your life.

During the first week of May there will be some additional help with both these aspects from Venus and Mars. Venus will be throwing some positive vibes toward your career and reputation area (10th House) that could assist in that financial and job situation and Mars will be giving you some drive toward defining your dreams and directing any inspiration toward a possible change. If you're happy where you are career and job-wise, you can expect good things to be going on as far as more opportunities and recognition. If you're looking for a change, something should be coming your way. If you're thinking about making a major change, this may take a while to come to fruition, but this will be a key month in identifying exactly where you want to go and what you need to accomplish to get there.

Your Sign Ruler, the Sun, along with Venus, are spending most of the month in Taurus, your 10th House, which needless to say ties in very nicely with all that other astrological activity. Remember that your job and career are not always the same. Many people have day jobs to pay the bills while they pursue a career in something they love, often a more creative field. Since Leos are creative by nature, this is often your swan song. Thus, the planets are doing their best to help you integrate these areas of your life. The New Moon on the 5th is in Taurus as well, implying something new in this area.

Mercury, who is all about communications and data exchanges, will spend most the month in your 11th House of groups, associations, hopes and wishes. This could mean networking or perhaps simply help you define those hopes and wishes. One caution, however, since between May 26 to June 19 Mercury will go into one of his annoying retrograde (RX) cycles. This honks up such things as computers, cell phones, traffic signals, and so forth, including human communications. However, it's a favorable time to rework, edit, re-plan, or re-evaluate these areas. In your 11th House maybe you need to be taking a good, hard look at some of your associations or friends.

During the second half of the month, the Sun will square Saturn, which could mean some tension between your group associations, friends, coworkers or hopes and wishes with your finances and pleasures. Maybe you'll be all ready to take that break that you need and some group or organization puts some responsibility on you that could preclude the trip. Either that or they put some financial demands on you that just don't work with your current financial situation. Pay attention to the details of the situation, ask plenty of questions, and don't let anyone walk over the top of you or prevent you from reaching the goals you should be putting together. During this same time also keep a firm grip on reality, even if you're having a lot of inspired ideas. Don't take anything at face value but give it a strong reality check before taking any action that could have unpleasant consequences. This is not to say that anything good will be a delusion, only that you need to make sure it's real before getting your hopes up, only to have them evaporate in the full light of reality.

The Full Moon on May 19th is in your 4th House of home environment. The Full Moon usually heralds a culmination, so something in this venue is likely to come an end. This could be as simple as finishing up a project or as major as moving or having a family member move in or move out. Whatever it is, it's likely to affect your finances in some way. You probably already know what this will be so it shouldn't be a surprise, whatever it is.

Overall this should be a very active, beneficial, and significant month. There are numerous positive aspects at work in key areas of your life. If they require some work, the planets are on your team, and if things are already going along pretty well, this is likely to continue and probably even get better. Pay attention to what's going on around you, do your homework, pursue appropriate action to define your goals, and then go for it.
