There are two major themes out there for March and one of them involves your Sign Ruler, Venus, who has paired up with Mercury to transit a few signs of the Zodiac together. With Venus usually quite benefic and Mercury generally neutral, this is a generally pleasant conjunction that should lend a positive note to your communications this month, with a lot of action to occur in your Natural 10th House of career and reputation and your 11th House of groups, associations, coworkers, and hopes & wishes. The other major theme involves Mars and Pluto and is somewhat less enchanting. So first, the good news. The first week of the month the Venus - Mercury duo will throw a somewhat itchy minor aspect from your house of career to Jupiter, over there in Capricorn, your 9th House of higher education, legal matters, long distance travel, religion and politics. This could be just about anything from a few second thoughts about your major in college (e.g., "I suffered through dif-EQ for this?") to having to listen patiently to your boss rant about some political view that you definitely don't agree with simply because you've worked too hard for that raise and aren't about to sacrifice it simply for the satisfaction of telling him or her s/he's an idiot. This is where being a patient and non-reactive Earth Sign comes in handy, since you're better than most others at putting things into perspective. From the first of March through the middle of June, Jupiter will also be throwing a nice sextile to Uranus, who's hanging out in your 11th House of groups and such. Sextile's generally bring opportunities and this one looks like something good that could come about through your networking efforts of some sort, perhaps back when you were in school, perhaps a friend or associate from church or maybe someone you met (or meet) on a plane or in an airport. Between March 4 - 14, the Sun will make a conjunction with Uranus, which is likely to lend ever further energy to this opportunity. At any rate, keep your eyes open so that you recognize it when it comes your way. During about the same time that the Sun is conjoined with Uranus, our traveling duo will be in conjunction with Neptune. This will be in effect between March 3 - 13. Neptune can bring a variety of effects. One of his most common effects is to dissolve boundaries and blur reality, though he can also bring inspiration. With this occurring in your house of career and reputation, it implies you may come up with a very inspired idea that can best be described as "thinking outside the box." This would be somewhat unusual for a Taurus, who as a Fixed Sign will generally stay pretty-much inside that box, whatever it happens to be, but with Neptune involved it could happen. The New Moon on the 7th will in your 11th House of groups as well, which provides even further impetus for something new in that area. Between March 11 - 18, that dynamic duo will throw a sextile to Pluto, who's also hanging out in your 9th House of legal matters, long distance travel and such. This should be another opportunity, but this is likely to involve something from the past that you need to synthesize and change about yourself. This could also tie into the earlier aspect with Jupiter the first week of the month that brought about some thoughts about your education or some other aspect of your life that falls into the 9th house, whether it be religion, politics, academia or your view of foreign cultures. This will probably be triggered by your career in some way, perhaps the realization that you're not in the right one or thoughts on one you'd like better. It could even do something like open doors to a foreign assignment that would ultimately have a transformational effect on your life. There are unlimited possibilities with one out there suited just for you, so again, pay attention and use the energy in a constructive way. From March 12 - 21, that Venus - Mercury team will trine Mars, who by then will be in Cancer, your 3rd House of intellect, thoughts, neighbors, and short journeys. This will occur while our pair moves from Aquarius to Pisces and thus from your career house to your house of groups, friends, etc.... This has all the makings of a great idea of some description that will garner a lot of thought energy, which you'll bring before a group or organization of some sort for further development. About this same time, they'll also form a quincunx to Saturn in your 5th House of creativity, children, love affairs, and entertainment. Saturn is stuffy by nature, and isn't the greatest planet to have in this particular house as he tends to remind us of our responsibilities and obligations (gee, imagine that in your house of children). This particular aspect usually denotes an adjustment or the need to defend your position in some manner, so there's a good chance that whatever fun project you've conjured up and want to put into action through a group activity is going to have a bit of interference from your children or perhaps a disgruntled lover who wants more of your time and attention than you've been providing lately. It could also simply be a sanity check on all that inspiration that indicates it wasn't as in-synch with reality as you'd thought. Now is as good of time as any to start talking about that Mars - Pluto deal alluded to earlier. This starts out as an opposition early in the month between Pluto in your aforementioned 9th house and Mars in your 3rd. An opposition usually means a tug-o-war will occur, in this case perhaps between your thoughts and ideas and perhaps some ethical issues of some sort. Pluto, remember, is the God of the Underworld, and he may be trying to coax you to do something outside the box, all right, that isn't within your existing moral set. Nonetheless, Mars is throwing a lot of energy at the idea and coaxing you forward. Perhaps you've tried something similar in the past and failed miserably, so you're somewhat worried about going down that path again. If this is the case, do a brutally honest post-mortem on your past experience, identify your mistakes, and make every effort to avoid them next time. We don't hit the jackpot every time and the important thing is to learn from your mistakes, a.k.a. failures. Pluto is good at coaching us through them, so that might be what this aspect is all about. The plot thickens starting around March 18 and continuing through the 25th when the Sun gets in the middle of all this and creates a T-Square. In other words, while you're in that tug-o-war between your ideas and something pulling you in the other direction, some conflict or crisis is likely to come along, which is going to help you make a few decisions by learning something. By this time the Sun will more than likely be in Aries, lending it a lot of motivational energy. This will be coming from your 12th House of dreams, inspiration and transcendence, which is going to start taking an active part in whatever Mars and Pluto are stirring up. Note that in the middle of this time period we have a Full Moon on the 21st. This makes things even more interesting since this will take the T-Square one step further to a Grand Cross. And not just any Grand Cross, but a Cardinal Grand Cross, which will have a tremendous amount of motivational energy behind it. To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, think about what would happen if you have four very strong leaders, all with very different personalities and very different ideas, in a single room fighting over the same budget. This is largely what we're talking about with a Cardinal Grand Cross. The Full Moon will be in Libra, your 6th House of work, health and pets. This will provide interference to your inspiration or dreams, perhaps because you have to earn a living in the meantime, or perhaps your health will get your attention in some way. A Full Moon usually indicates a culmination, so once you find the message it has for you, you're likely to be on your way to solving the others as well. The Sun keeps moving and gradually gets out of range of Pluto, breaking the T-Square, but maintains the square to Mars until around April 5; so by then, whatever crisis came along should be on its way out the door and when all is said and done, things should come out in your favor. During most of the time you're battling with the T-Square and so forth, the Sun will quincunx Saturn. As noted earlier, this aspect usually calls for an adjustment of some type or the need to defend your position. Remember that Saturn is in your 5th house of children, creativity, lovers, ego and such, and this may simply further highlight whatever issue Mercury and Venus started earlier in the month. Not to forget Venus and Mercury, from March 24 -29, those two will be forming a conjunction with Uranus. The planet of change, surprises, and unexpected events has certainly received more than his share of stimulation this month. This final pass, in your 11th house of groups, friends, hopes & wishes, should bring some positive thoughts, either in the form of very positive happenings in these associations or perhaps financially beneficial. Knowing how much Taurus' like financial security, be sure you use all that perseverance to ride this wave to the shore and see what benefits lie at the end. Your Sign Ruler has been taking you on an interesting journey this month, but is unlikely to lead you astray. It's just up to you to use your in-born common sense to make the decisions necessary to come out on top at month's end.
