Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month we have another eclipse with this one falling in Aquarius, your 11th House of groups, coworkers, organizations, and hopes and wishes or, if you prefer, goals and objectives. If your birthday is right around April 3rd this should bring you a nice opportunity in this part of your life that will allow you to increase your enjoyment and creativity. Aries born more than a few days beyond that date should watch for the same, but it's not as likely unless the eclipse closely aspects one of your natal planets. This eclipse is part of the same family as those that occurred in July so also is inclined to institute sudden reforms. Again, old methods will be ineffective and new approaches will be required to solve existing problems. If there is anything that needs to take place, yet there are obstacles in the way, these will be removed by whatever means necessary. Trust the Universe on that one, since it's not likely to require intervention on your part, though it could. Trust your Fire Sign instincts on that one. The accompanying aspects for this eclipse will flavor its effects as always. If your birthday is between April 3 - 8 pay attention to any ideas you come up with this month since they could contain a major opportunity. Aries are great starters but don't always get around to finishing their projects. Only you can tell how many of those languishing ideas could have borne fruit, but give it some thought. This will also relate to your 11th House of friends, coworkers, group associations, goals and so forth since it's part of the eclipse. It's a very favorable time to get some things accomplished at home as well. If your birthday is between April 12 - 16 these opportunities will have a different spin because they will be influenced by that ongoing stellium comprising Jupiter, the asteroid, Chiron, and Neptune. I'm still trying to figure out how this unlikely trio, who's been hanging out together for a long, long time, is going to manifest. Furthermore, they're all currently retrograde, which could make the effect little more than mental blips on your radar of life. Just to give you a rough idea for something to watch for, take a close look at your friendships and associations. Have they changed any in the past few months? Have some of them simply disappeared off the map, so to speak, or have new ones slipped into your life so quietly that you hardly noticed? Have your expectations changed in this area of your life? Has anyone disappointed you or, conversely, helped you get through some hard times or deal with something from the past that had been bothering you? What about deceit or going beyond that to downright injury? If you have anything that needs to be settled with a bureaucracy, authority figure or big corporation this eclipse should assist you in finding the information you need and getting things resolved in a favorable manner that benefits your budget and/or home relationships. If any home repairs come along, it should help you get them taken care of without incident, even if they bite you in the wallet. You will be able to identify what's wrong and get it fixed properly, at least. The New Moon on August 20 falls in Leo, your 5th House of children, romance, creativity, ego, and entertainment. If your birthday is within a few days of April 17 you can definitely expect something to occur in one of these areas that facilitates a change of course or some kind of an adjustment to your plans. This lunation is further stimulating that Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune stellium, so it will further affect your friends and associations as noted above. Changes, some at a fairly deep level, will further shift your dreams or spiritual goals in some manner. There is also a possibility for an encounter with an institution, someone trying to undermine you, or feeling confined in some way. Uranus has been hanging out in your 12th House for quite a while, slow mover that he is, and he could even stir you up in some way that could result in self-undoing, so watch that Aries impulsiveness, particularly where your work is concerned. Tact is not necessarily one of your strengths and your mental speed will be ramped up rather high this month due to the fact that Mars, your Sign Ruler, is in Gemini, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, and neighbors. If you feel as if you're being restrained in some way when you want to move forward, rebellion is likely to cross your mind and stir things up a bit. However, Saturn is watching from close by and will hopefully remind you of your responsibilities in such a way that you don't do anything you'll regret later. Another interesting aspect with the New Moon is a yod, sometimes called the Finger of God. In a natal chart these usually indicate a significant life direction whereas with a lunation it indicates a global influence for a particular theme. That Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune stellium is at the eye, further emphasizing all those points noted earlier about your friendships and associations as well as possibly your hopes, wishes, goals or objectives. Looking at the latter, consider whether or not they're realistic versus being over-inflated or possibly even vengeful. A yod comprises two quincunxes which is that aspect that drives adjustments, Catch-22's, and course corrections. In this case your home relationships or finances are tied into your work ideas and responsibilities, both of which will need to be tweaked in some way to move forward with whatever is going on with your goals or possibly your friends and associations. In other words, if there's something you want to accomplish both home and work, or possibly even your health, are going to be affected if you want to move forward, which is what Aries do best. Meanwhile all of this is being stirred up by the New Moon itself, which is occurring in your 5th House of ego, self-expression, children, romance, and entertainment. Sounds interesting, to say the least. Short Term/Daily Aspects August 1 - 2: Expect a conflict between your home finances and your career or public image. This could be something like wanting to pursue a different career path, yet it will result in a reduction in your current income. If you've been dissatisfied with this part of your life lately, which wouldn't be surprising with Pluto hanging out in that neighborhood, this could bring something your way to think about. Worst case, in this economy, it could mean something unfavorable relative to your job. Thus, this is not the time to make yourself a target by ticking someone off. August 2 - 4: Favorable news or ideas that tie your work and career together are out there during this time. This will derive from some deep consideration regarding where you've been careerwise and where to go from here. August 5: Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, as described above. August 7 - 8: Expect some good news or ideas related to home and either work or your health. Watch for opportunities. August 10: Your ideas, particularly as they apply to your work, won't be well-received today so don't exacerbate the situation by being too aggressive. In other words, don't expect to get along with your boss, regardless of how brilliant you may be. Don't do anything foolish either mentally, verbally, or physically. Don't break the speed limit, run stop signs, or anything else that could stir up a confrontation with an authority figure. August 13: The drive to pursue ideas relative to your friends or group associations will be strong today. If you have goals you want to accomplish, you'll also really want to get moving on them. August 14: Express yourself to your friends, coworkers, or some other group will come easily today and you're likely to be the center of attention. Your creativity will have an audience and some useful feedback. Romantic possibilities are there as well along with possible activity with your kids. August 17: Pay attention to any creative ideas you have today. It's a favorable time to express yourself to your boss or other authority figure and also a good day to consider your responsibilities in a new light. Inspiration is out there, but don't get carried away and get into the unrealistic range. A project will require some adjustments or a change of course, so be flexible and open-minded. However, your ideas should be well-received by others; make sure they're well thought-out or you might look foolish later. August 18: A disruption, surprise event, or unexpected change will necessitate some changes at a personal level. Don't let your ego get in the way of a something that will be good for you. You may not like it at first, but be objective and consider all sides before making too much fuss. August 19: A favorable day for getting something done around the house. This may require a change of plan, particularly if it involved other people or something else you had hoped to do. Responsibility needs to come first today. August 20: New Moon today as noted above. Make a conscious effort to be open-minded today. August 21: Surprises or disruptions relative to something you're trying to get done. Pay attention to your health as well. August 22: The Sun goes into Virgo today, your 6th House of work, health and small animals, bringing emphasis to this part of your life for the next month. More adjustments at home due to either other goals or group activities will be required as well. These will have a positive effect, however. August 23: Find some time today to think about your job and your career goals. Look at it from all angles and investigate the possibilities. Give some thought to your health and fitness goals as well and how they, in turn, affect your spiritual health. August 25: Mercury enters Libra, bringing more fairness to your thoughts and stimulating communications in your relationships. Today, however, disagreements look likely, particularly on the home front. August 26: A conflict with someone close to you with respect to your career is likely today. This could involve a close friend or superior on the job who doesn't agree with you or some new thoughts regarding where you need to go careerwise. Your discernment should be strengthened by Pluto such that you can instinctively know what's going on behind the scenes. Don't ignore it. August 27: Any ego-expression or creativity related to those career ruminations may require a tweak or two. This is not a bad thing, but is moving you closer to where you need to be.
