Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 13th is in Taurus, your 4th House of home environment which should bring something new your way in that part of your life. If your birthday is within a few days of February 12, this lunation will square your Natal Sun and give it a little more impact. The most active planet in this lunation is clearly Saturn, who's been retrograde since January but it getting ready to quit doing the backstroke and get down to some serious restructuring. Saturn, Aquarius' ancient ruler before the discovery of Uranus, is in Virgo, your 8th House of transformations, debt, shared resources, inheritances, death and sex, though sex can also fit with the 5th House of romance, children and entertainment. At any rate, the 8th is the venue of intense experiences that change you in a lasting way such that you become a slightly different person. Saturn has been working on that part of your life in a subtle way that will become more apparent after the end of the month when he comes out of retrograde. When he first went retrograde he was in Libra, your 9th House, so some restructuring will most likely be called for there as well. Your 9th includes legal matters, higher learning, relocation, travel to unfamiliar places, religion, politics, and your beliefs and expectations. Meanwhile, back to Saturn's influence, he's trining the New Moon which will help introduce something new into your life at home which is going to be conducive to the restructuring Saturn is working on. Saturn is also opposing Jupiter and your Sign Ruler, Uranus, conjunct in Pisces, your 2nd House of possessions, finance, income, needs and pleasures. Jupiter and Uranus imply sudden changes and disruptions that are inflated or exaggerated in some way in that part of your life. Uranus is all about disruptions, the unexpected, rebellion, breaking free and innovation, which may not be especially welcome in your house of money. He's been there for quite a while, however, so if this has been your experience now you know where it came from. And there's good news in that later this month he will leave Pisces and enter Aries, which for you will be great since that is your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel. This part of you life may become hectic and unpredictable, but IMHO, better there than messing with your finances. But I digress, yet again. The bottom line on this Jupiter/Uranus/Saturn situation is that a major change of some sort that will most likely relate to your finances or possessions will oppose something related to that incoming transformational change or conversely, something related to your debt load or perhaps an inheritance, whatever seems most applicable to your situation. At times like this you need to take the information I provide regarding what each house contains and do the mix and match routine to figure out what to expect since there are far too many possibilities for me to identify them all. Saturn is also quincunx Neptune in your Sign, which implies a change of direction or adjustment which will be of a personal nature and may comprise establishing a more structured approach to life than you've maintained in the past. Neptune and Saturn are quite different in their effects with Neptune dissolving and dissipating boundaries while Saturn strives to put them in place, but this can be beneficial for a Fixed Sign such as Aquarius in ridding yourself of old habits that may be difficult to break. Mercury is trining Pluto, indicating news or information pertaining to your home environment will further enhance the process of reinventing some part of yourself. Pluto is in your 12th House of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, confinement, seclusion, institutions, self-undoing and hidden enemies. This is where both your angels and demons reside and Pluto in this domain will be unearthing old, buried issues such that you can deal with them and clear the path for you to progress. An analogy for this situation would be cleaning out the garage or attic, getting rid of old, useless items in order to make room for something new, perhaps even turning it into new living space that will benefit you a lot more than all that old baggage. Venus is squaring Jupiter, a harsh aspect which isn't likely to be too ominous between two benefic planets. Venus is in fellow Air Sign, Gemini and trine your Natal Sun if you were born between February 10 - 12. Gemini is your 5th House of ego-definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation, so Venus in this locale is quite favorable. Jupiter in your 2nd House of finances, needs and pleasures may incline you toward over-indulging yourself in some way, so don't get too carried away. The Full Moon on May 27th is in Sagittarius, your 11th House of friends, group associations, and goals. Aquarius rules the 11th House of the zodiac so this is fond and familiar ground for you. Aquarians typically have lots of friends and are involved with others on a regular basis. They also have a true knack for bringing people together as the common link between them. A Full Moon brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, so it may be time to let something or someone fade into the past to make room for new pursuits. The aspects between Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus remain the same, with the caveat that Uranus has now slipped into Aries, as noted earlier. Uranus is squaring Pluto, however, which may resurrect some spontaneous links to your past. This will ultimately be beneficial, however, as most astrological aspects are in the long run, as it will help you clean out that figurative garage or attic. Pluto is as busy as Saturn in this lunation, so you can expect a lot of ruminating about the past. The Sun is throwing a quincunx his way, another indicator of a change of direction, but again this is probably another stepping stone along your path to self-discovery. Venus is tossing an opposition in his direction as well from Cancer, your 6th House of work, service, health and pets. Venus in this locale should bring pleasantries your way as far as work is concerned and could even bring additional money your way. Depending on how you feel about your current occupation, this aspect may help you discover whether you're in the right line of work to find the fulfillment you need. Also note that Mercury is sextile Venus, a nice friendly aspect that should bring an opportunity of some sort your way, perhaps as a result of a good idea, news or information you discover from someone in your household that relates to your work in some way. Mars is opposing Neptune from Leo, your polar sign and 7th House of close relationships, which include your significant other, close friends and relatives with whom you interact on a regular basis, business partners, and business professionals such as your accountant, tax advisor, hair stylist, attorney and so on. If your birthday falls around February 15, pay attention to this one. Your Natal Sun is either conjunct Neptune or too close for comfort, which could predispose you to deception or delusions. Be wary of anyone who tries to take advantage of you or tries to push you toward doing something that sounds too good to be true, because it probably is. Get all the facts and proceed with caution, because you may come to regret it later. Short-term Aspects May 2: Something could come your way to day that will institute a change of course. You don't like change, but unless you're totally satisfied with your life at this moment, that's the only way for things to improve. "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got." May 3: A conversation at home could trigger some old memories. Consider why this and why now? What's the lesson? May 4: Conflicts at home with someone close to you are possible. Stick to the facts and maintain as much detachment as you can. May 7: A favorable day for romance or simply doing something enjoyable with a close friend or romantic interest. May 10: Mercury goes direct, which is good news for electronic and mechanical devices. May 13: New Moon today as described above. May 17: You may have a real tendency to over-indulge today. Think about it real hard before proceeding. Someone at home may be pushing you in the wrong direction so put on your thinking cap. May 18: If there's something going on in your lovelife, think twice today before doing something you may regret. Above all else, be responsible. There's a major tendency toward self-deception or delusions, so turn on the logic and turn off something else, if you know what I mean. In this case, someone at home may steer you in the right direction, so listen up. May 19: If you're considering doing something that you need to think about a bit more, someone at home is likely to help you see the light, though you probably won't appreciate it much. Yet. Refer to the past for an experience base. An unexpected expense may come your way as well. May 20: Watch for an unexpected opportunity to have some fun at home. Venus goes into Cancer today, bringing her blessings to the workplace. May 21: The Sun goes into fellow Air Sign, Gemini, today, bringing light and emphasis to your ego, creativity, children, lovers, entertainment and speculation. May 22: A conflict or challenge that involved your finances and perhaps those of someone else is likely today. May 23: Give considerable thought to how you feel about your work and its affect on you. Have you found your niche or is it still elusive? May 25: Time to consider another course change, this time one that will affect you at a deep personal level. You will be able to see past events and actions more deeply than before. May 27: Full Moon in Sagittarius as described above. May 28: Uranus goes into Aries so be prepared for things to get hectic. May 30: Saturn comes out of retrograde after over four months. Take some time for conscious thought with regard to any significant changes you need to make that will put you on a more beneficial path than you're on now. These insights will come your way over the next several months, allowing you to work with them and make any needed adjustments by the first part of September, at which time you can be on a completely new path. |
