Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month's New Moon on the 14th falls in Aries, your 8th House of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, inheritances, debt and shared resources, implying something new coming your way from that part of your life. It will bring a change of course or adjustment with the effects most noticeable for those of you born between September 16 - 19. The general flavor for this lunation as well as the Full Moon later in the month is for adjustment and change so be on the lookout for indicators if you haven't already figured it out. Aspects supporting this theme associated with the New Moon include two quincunxes, which by their very nature imply a change of course, adjustment, a Catch-22 or need to justify your position. First of all, Saturn is quincunx Neptune. Saturn is retrograde, which compels us to eventually restructure some part of your life. In this case this will be personal since Saturn is in Virgo at this time. Saturn is about discipline, boundaries, restrictions, responsibility, and authority so something is going to affect you at that level. Neptune, on the other hand, is about dissolving boundaries, merging with the collective consciousness, delusions, and escaping reality. With Neptune in your 6th House of work, health and pets, this certainly presents some interesting possibilities. Neptune in this house has a variety of interpretations, one of which could be working in the oil industry or with the ocean or ships in some way. It could also represent delusions or deceptive with regard to your job. With the implications of the two planets considered, perhaps you need to consider that your job may not be as secure as you had assumed or increase your self-discipline in some way in order to achieve your dreams in this particular occupation. Another quincunx lies between Pluto and Mars. Pluto is in your 5th House of creativity, self-expression, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. He's currently retrograde with his purpose generally to unearth anything in this part of your life that needs to be discarded in order to make room for something new. Pluto is about death and regeneration, healing, and transformation. There's the possibility that maybe you haven't been taking this part of your life seriously enough, that something you truly enjoy has the potential to be a source of income as well as enjoyment. Mars, connecting with Pluto from Leo, your 12th House, is driving this for a short time. Adjustments or a change of course are the theme while the 12th House includes such things as inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. In its most positive manifestation this could be a nudge to grab some inspiration toward pursuing your dreams with respect to something in your 5th, as defined above. Mix and match those elements from both houses until something fits, then move toward an adjustment. Saturn is also opposing Uranus. These two planets are antithetical by nature as well with staunch and stuffy Saturn faced off with Uranus, planet of disruption, sudden change, rebellion, breaking away and the unconventional who's resident in your 7th House of close relationships. If you've been associated with a lot of different, rebellious or unconventional people in your life then this would be a major contributor. It can also make for a lot of surprises and disturbances amongst those close to you. Thus, this aspect could easily suggest your quest for self-discipline or more structure in your personal life may be up against some major opposition from those close to you who will be shooting a figurative .20 gauge shotgun in your direction of disruptive situations. The good news amongst all this apparent instability, something Earth Signs definitely don't like, is a conjunction between your sign ruler, Mercury, and Venus in Taurus. This is your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, relocation, legal matters, other cultures and foreign travel as well as religion and politics. That planetary pair implies good news of some sort from this part of your life and not only that, they're trine the North Node in the 5th House of fun stuff as described above. So this is likely to bring a bright spot of some sort in your life to look forward to sometime between the New and Full Moon. The Full Moon on April 28 occurs in Scorpio, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings as well as short journeys, which includes all that running around you do on a regular basis. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. In other words, this could represent the necessary completion of those things that point toward whatever the New Moon delivered. Note that Saturn's opposition to Uranus is still in force as is the quincunx with Neptune. Jupiter is moving in on Uranus, however, so whatever that disruption or disturbance turns out to be it's likely to be inflated. Mars is forming a T-square between the Sun/Moon, introducing some sort of conflict between an idea or perception that is bumping up against your expectations and beliefs. At least that is one possibility. It could also involve a sibling and any of those 9th House matters described above. Mix and match again for the possibilities, all of which I couldn't cover here. For example, it could just as easily be a hidden enemy undermining your efforts to get your brother or sister into college. So you need to do some of the work here as well since it's impossible for me to detail all the possibilities. Venus is quincunx Pluto, a rather favorable aspect that implies reworking something with regard to your creativity, ego, children, romance or entertainment, including hobbies, will have a positive effect on your career, reputation or status. Perhaps you'll get a raise that will enable you to pursue something you enjoy. Daily and Short Term Aspects April 2: News or information will impact your financial stability in some way and necessitate a change of course or adjustment. Mercury goes into Taurus, facilitating communications with regard to your beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters or relocation. April 3: Interactions with the opposite sex are likely to be tense. If you're trying to pursue one of your dreams, it's essential that you believe in your ability to get there. Don't undermine yourself with a lack of confidence. April 4: Use your creativity to figure out a way to enjoy life without neglecting your responsibilities. This is also a favorable day to divest yourself of anything that's cluttering up your life and keeping you from what you really want to do. Keep those self-doubts under control April 6: Fresh ideas with regard to something important you want to accomplish are possible if you'll continue getting rid of those things that no longer serve you. April 7: Saturn backs into your Sign today, which may give you the feeling that things are grinding to a screeching halt. Pluto goes retrograde until September 14, furthering digging things up that relate to your creativity and entertainment. April 10: Expect to make some adjustments if you want to pursue those dreams or that latest flash of inspiration. Remember something has to go to make room for something new. April 14: New Moon in Aries as described above. April 17: Watch for an opportunity that involves something you know quite well and relates to that major goal you're pursuing. April 18: Something is likely to disappear at work today in a literally or figurative sense. Whichever it is, its impact will be noticeable but contains an opportunity, so watch closely. Your sign ruler, Mercury, goes retrograde until May 10. Remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical until after that time. April 19: The awareness of the need to make some changes in your life should be heightened today. April 20: The Sun enters Taurus, bringing light and emphasis to such things as your beliefs and expectations, legal matters, academia and relocation. April 23: Watch out for delusions, particularly at work or regarding your health. Denial won't make it go away. An unexpected opportunity could surface through someone you know well that should help move you a step closer to your goals. April 24: Spend some time thinking about your expectations for yourself and what you need to do to achieve them. April 25: Venus goes into Gemini, bringing her blessings to your career, reputation and status. This will make you look good in public so put it to good use for the next few weeks. Monitor your thoughts today to keep out any negativity. A positive mental outlook will help clean out some old baggage and another step closer to your goals.
