Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 14th is in Aries, your 3rd House of ideas, thoughts, neighbors, siblings and short journeys. Look for something new in that part of your life which will all incorporate the accompanying aspects. These include a substantial amount of change energy, so listen up. First of all, Pluto and Mars are quincunx, an aspect that calls for an adjustment or change of course, typically due to a Catch-22 of some sort. Pluto is in your 12th House of woo-woo stuff, such as inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, confinement, institutions, seclusion, self-undoing and hidden enemies. These include those unseen things that surround you that can be your best friend or worst enemy, including yourself. With Pluto in that neighborhood, he ain't no Mr. Rogers, believe me. He is going to dig up and expose anything in this part of your life that needs a good housecleaning. This is not a bad thing as his ultimate goal is for you to rid yourself of those things that are holding you back or taking up room in your spiritual life so that you can make room for something more meaningful. Just think of Pluto as the zodiacal back-hoe who will find what he's looking for, regardless of how deeply you may have buried it. Mars is in Leo, your 7th House of close relationships. He was retrograde for several months, giving you a second chance to take care of something you should have a while back; hopefully you did as the Universe directed. The implications in the quincunx between Mars and Pluto is that something in that woo-woo house is keeping you from moving forward with your relationships so it's time to take care of business, make the necessary adjustments and go forward in a slightly different direction. Remember that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, and insanity also resides in that 12th House. Saturn and Neptune are also quincunx, reiterating the need for a change of course. Saturn is retrograde in Virgo, your 8th House of transformations, sex, death, inheritances, shared resources, and debt. This is a house that includes intense experiences after which you are a slightly different person. Saturn started his retrograde cycle in Libra, your 9th House of beliefs and this month backs into Virgo, the aforementioned 8th, so he is trying to restructure a few things in these parts of your life. You may not recognize this because at this point it is at the subconscious level, but around the end of May what needs to be restructured will become apparent. Neptune is in your 1st House and if your birthday is within a day one way or the other of February 17 he is parked on your Natal Sun. Neptune rules that 12th House, so that should tell you something right there. He can certainly bring you great inspiration, benevolent feelings toward all of mankind and a huge dose of idealism, but he can also deceive and even attempt to dissolve your individuality. Neptune also rules such things as alcohol and drugs, so if you've had a bit of an adult beverage or substance problem, this would be a major contributor. Saturn and Neptune are not only opposed for this lunation but diametrically opposed in principle; Saturn is about structure and restrictions, Neptune about dissolving boundaries. This quincunx suggests that there needs to be some adjustments and a change of course and more than likely you already have a good idea where that needs to happen. Saturn, who was your Sign Ruler before the discovery of Uranus, still keeps an eye on his former subjects. He is currently giving Uranus the eye in opposition, making sure he's properly watching over all your Water Carriers. Uranus is in Pisces, your 2nd House of finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. I don't imagine that his influence in that part of your life has been nearly as stable as it would have been with Saturn there. Disruptions, surprises, and all sorts of quirky things have probably been going on in that part of your life for some time now. Maybe Saturn's message at this point is to smack Uranus upside the head and help you make any necessary changes in the material side of your life. These other aspects and planets may not sound overly friendly so you'll be happy to know that there's a nice, friendly trine between Venus and the North Node, that promises to bring something good your way. Venus is in your 4th House of home environment and the North Node is downstream from Pluto in that woo-woo 12th House. This could easily bring some inspired insights that affect you so deeply that they help you attain a much more loving attitude with regard to your home, both your physical abode and the people in it. Keep an eye out because it will surely be there. The Full Moon on April 28 occurs in Scorpio, your 10th House of career, reputation, status and public image. Status is a very vague term that includes how you are viewed by others. Think of the concept of "status symbols" and you'll get an idea what we're talking about. This also includes just about anything that can be defined by a title or label. If you get promoted or fired, graduate from school, get a license to drive or own a business, get married or divorced, have your first child or the last one leaves home, all of these things fall in the 10th House. Thus, a Full Moon in that part of your life could bring the culmination or end to any number of things. The Sun is in your 4th House of home environment so this implies a conflict or tug-o-war between there and that status issue, whatever it might be. Mars is squaring the Sun/Moon system over there in your 7th House so one or more close relationship is going to be tied into all this. Saturn is active as well, maintaining that quincunx with Neptune that was noted for the New Moon and also opposing not only Uranus as noted previously but now Jupiter is in his sites as well. Jupiter is usually considered a benefic planet who expands and inflates what he touches, but when he's messing around with Uranus, this may amount to a big fat surprise or disruption. Jupiter is also philosophical by nature so he may also bring a few new approaches to any financial issues. Pluto is trining both the Sun and Mercury, unearthing and bringing to light anything from your past, particularly your childhood, which may have a bearing on the present. He is also quincunx Venus, another adjustment or change of course, that pertains to your children, ego definition, a romantic interest, hobby, or simply how your enjoy yourself. Venus in your 5th House can be very favorable if you're on the prowl for a romantic relationship. So that pretty well ties it up for the Full Moon. Short-term Aspects April 2: Watch for news, information or ideas that strikes you harder than most and could have a significant impact on your beliefs and expectations. These evolve over time as a conglomeration and integration of thoughts and something could bring you to question the status quo in that regard. Mercury goes into Taurus today, which will enhance communications as well as errands related to home. April 3: You may be torn between home and relationship today. Interacts with members of the opposite sex are likely to be somewhat intense. April 4: Spend some time thinking about your early childhood and the values you acquired during that time. Thoughts or errands related to home may conflict with plans with someone close to you. April 6: Continue to ponder your past and what your spiritual values are. Give serious thought to whether they reflect reality for you or not. April 7: Saturn backs into Virgo today, bringing the impetus for structural change to a transformational level. Pluto goes retrograde until September 14, unearthing old issues that may have been holding you back. April 10: Are your relationships all above board and satisfactory? If not, what element from your past set you up for them to be a disappointment? April 14: New Moon today as described above. April 17: A very good day for opportunities. Watch for a windfall or financially beneficial situations that relate to your home environment in some manner. April 18: Find some quiet time today since inspired thoughts and ideas are likely. Mercury goes retrograde until May 10, giving you time to rethink, reconsider, and revise any current plans or ideas that aren't quite right. April 19: Your thought processes should be clear and bring a few new considerations your way that have the potential to affect you deeply. April 20: The Sun goes into Taurus, your 4th House of home environment, bringing emphasis to that part of your life. April 23: You may feel consumed or lost in those around you. An opportunity to break away is possible that will help your renew yourself. April 24: How you truly feel about your home and family members may hit you in a different way that will have a profound and lasting effect. April 25: Venus goes into Gemini, bringing her blessings to your 5th House of self-expression, creativity, hobbies, children, romance, entertainment and so forth. More conflict is possible with someone close to you. Look past what you see and consider what got you where you are. April 26: If your finances are topsy-turvy, do what you can to bring them under control at a very fundamental level. April 28: Full Moon today as described above. Bright ideas are possible. April 29: Another day to spend some time thinking about how you feel about yourself. Water Carriers typically gather a lot of their self-worth and identity from those around them. Maybe it's time to figure out how you see yourself and whether it's the image you want to project. |
