Lunations and Long-term Aspects

The eclipse pair occurring this month will give these lunations even more punch.  The overall meaning to this eclipse series is to bring about sudden reforms due to the fact that old methods simply don't cut it anymore.  Previous approaches will fail, necessitating new ones.  Obstacles in the way of these changes could be removed in a powerful manner.  Since the Full Moon/lunar eclipse is in Capricorn, expect this to show up in such areas as bureaucracies, authority figures, physical structures, and on a more personal level, your attitude toward your responsibilities.  Of course we've already been seeing a plethora of this sort of thing with respect to government and major corporations due to the fact that Pluto is now in Capricorn doing his roto-rooter routine.  Needless to say, this eclipse will strengthen this even further. 

This clearly indicates that resistance will be futile.  The world is changing and if you haven't already given serious consideration to how you need to adapt, these eclipses will probably give you the proverbial kick in the butt to git-r-dun. Cappy is your 12th House of dreams, spirituality, transcendence, charity, hidden enemies, institutions, and confinement, so the effects will be focused in this area.  This implies that it's time to restructure your approach to one or more of these in your life, whether it's acknowledging your dreams or dealing with the institutions in your life.  Ponder on "confinement" for a moment and think of what may be keeping you prisoner in some way, i.e. what's holding you back from something you want to achieve.  "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got."  Think about it.  Adjustments to how you deal with family members, your debt load, and any self-defeating behaviors are due for consideration.  As always, a Full Moon implies a culmination or end of a phase.  Something will be different than it was before.  This is not necessarily a bad thing.

The New Moon/Solar Eclipse on July 21 is in Cancer, your 6th House of work, health and pets.  This eclipse is quincunx Pluto, further reinforcing the need to remodel something in this part of your life.  Maybe it's time to either change jobs or maybe simply your attitude toward your existing one.  With all the layoffs taking place across the country, maybe the "obstacles ... removed in a powerful manner" will apply, forcing you to give this some thought.  If you've been neglecting your health, or even if you're not, this could also show up as a health issue.  Again, if it's something you've been ignoring, it could get your attention in a rather dramatic way.  On the positive side, there are opportunities to open up dialogs in your close relationships.  Take advantage of it as appropriate.

If your birthday is between January 19 - 22 life changing events are definitely coming your way as the Lunar North Node contacts our Natal Sun this month, further reinforced by that Solar Eclipse.  There is also the matter of that triple conjunction comprising Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron in your 1st House of personality which will have the most noticeable affect on those of you with birthdays between February 11 - 17.  While this can enhance your imagination and promote enlightenment, at the same time it could make you prone to delusions that will bite you later.  Be particularly aware of the fact you may not be seeing things as they really are. 

Short-term Aspects

There's a lot of planetary action out there this month which starts out between July 1-2 with the charge to look closely at your relationships with family members.  This will be triggered by unexpected news or a surprise event that will involve your wallet.  Consider whether you're refusing to see something or someone is trying to put one over on you.  There's potential there for being hurt, so proceed cautiously.  Take a close look at your beliefs and expectations to see if you've been setting yourself up to be disappointed by refusing to see reality.  Give conscious thought to what you value and whether you're acting accordingly.  The opportunity for positive resolution is there, provided you don't ignore it.  Mercury goes into Cancer on July 3rd, highlighting communications and news in your 6th House of work and health.

Around July 4th you may discover that someone has been trying to undermine you at work.  If you have any hidden health problems, they may also begin to surface at this time.  Venus goes into Gemini, your 5th House of romance, children, creativity and entertainment on July 5th which will bring some luck and pleasant experiences to this part of your life.  July 6th - 7th you need to be especially careful.   Mars will square both Neptune and Jupiter, so those of you born between February 11 - 17 should be even more careful at that time not to take any unnecessary risks, especially around your home, since the risk of accident or injury is higher than usual.  Don't over-estimate your ability to do something, just suck it up and call a repairman or someone who knows what they're doing.  Trust me, it's not worth the risk, no matter what the cost.  If you have children, keep a close eye on them as well or you may wind up doing some time in an emergency room.  Expect the unexpected and don't take any chances.  Drive defensively as well.

July 9th could bring an opportunity at work to increase your income or responsibilities.  There could also be more developments if you're dealing with a health issue.  On the 10th that Jupiter - Neptune conjunction will be exact, so look out for big delusions, though a huge burst of inspiration is also possible.  Just be aware that whichever way it goes may not be real.  Mars goes into Gemini on the 11th, bringing his energy to your 5th House of romance, children, entertainment and so forth.  This could also bring contention or conflict, so be sure to manage it properly.  News on the work opportunity or health issue is on the way between the 12th - 14th.

Between July 14 - 16 expect to encounter a Catch 22, change of direction or other adjustment, perhaps due to finding out something you hadn't noticed or know of before.  This will involve your finances in some way, perhaps even with a windfall, but don't count your chickens before they're hatched.  In other words, don't go out and buy something on a credit card, thinking the money is coming to pay it off because it might not come through.  This is another situation where you need to be sure you're seeing everything clearly.  Mercury goes into Leo on the 17th, bringing his communication skills to your 7th House of relationships.  Between July 17 - 18 expect to make some adjustments relative to work or your health situation as previously unknown information surfaces.  Expect the unexpected again on the 19th when the Sun trines Uranus, your Sign Ruler.  This could relate to your finances, possessions, or even your values.

July 20th is a favorable day to take the initiative in a relationship bearing in mind what additional responsibilities you may be assuming by doing so.  This will be further emphasized when the Sun goes into Leo on the 22nd, bringing his influence to your 7th House of relationships.  Right around the 23rd plan to make some adjustments to all this as new information surfaces.  On July 27th there's a lot of inspirational energy coming your way from your love interests or children, though a related surprise that isn't as enchanting is due on the next day.  Between July 30 - 31 you can expect some news or information to come your way regarding a relationship.  If you've been either deceived or deceiving, it's likely to come out at this time and necessitate some unexpected adjustments on your part.

There will be a lot of action regarding your job, relationships, home and how you relate to them this month.  Remember to reserve those rose colored glasses for dreaming only and leave them aside when dealing with reality.  Some surprises are due this month thanks to your Sign Ruler, Uranus, some of which will be good and some otherwise.  He goes retrograde this month, which will increase his ability to generate surprises.  Those eclipses will have long-term and lingering effects that could be subtle at first but continue to unfold over the next several months.  The main thing you need to do is keep your eyes open, don't trust or believe everything you see or hear, and use your Air Sign logic to make the right decisions.
