This month, as Elvis said so well, "there's a whole lotta shakin' goin' on" in your 10th House of career and reputation. Capricorn rules the Zodiacal 10th House, so this is an important part of your life and one into which you invest a lot of time and energy, of both the physical and emotional variety. Jupiter is currently trining Saturn, a long-term, outer planet aspect that will be in force until mid-December. These aspects tend to evoke major changes in your life or attitude. Saturn is your Sign Ruler, giving this even more influence for Cappies, and Jupiter is in your 1st House of personality. Saturn is all about structure, discipline, obligations, and authority and in the 9th House this could relate to legal matters, higher education, or long-distance travel. This House also drives your belief system. Jupiter is also related to your beliefs and ethics, particularly when he's retrograde, but that will end early this month, on September 7. A trine is a nice, friendly aspect so this looks like it will simply catalyze any changes you've made in your philosophy of life into some concrete changes of direction.

The Sun is also in your 9th House, bringing further light and emphasis to this part of your life. If you've been considering going back to school, entering into some sort of contract, or traveling abroad, your plans should go well. From September 4 - 8, the Sun will conjoin Saturn, so expect a significant energy boost in this direction during that time that you would do well to utilize in the best manner possible.

Another long-term aspect that has been out there for a while and will fade into oblivion toward the end of the month is that itchy semi-sextile between Uranus, planet of unexpected events, rebellion, and change, and Neptune, planet of dreams, inspiration and deception. These two planets are each in the sign the other rules, providing an extra dose of synergism that's known in astrological circles as a mutual reception. This has been going on in your 2nd House of possessions, finances and pleasures and your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, and intellect for several months. This influence has been subtle in some ways and dramatic in others. Innovative ideas, a desire for change, or general dissatisfaction has been sparking the synapses in your brain that has surprised you as much as those who thought they knew you. It's particularly interesting to note that Sarah Palin's Natal Sun is currently conjoining Neptune, drawing some obviously heavy energy from this aspect in her direction.

Your sense of stability has been disturbed and new ways of seeing things that are uncharacteristic of the way you typically do have surprised you as much as those around you. This has been coupled with being less disciplined than usual about your finances that could include taking risks you normally wouldn't take. This is not necessarily a bad thing, so don't worry about it as your Cappy nature probably won't let you do anything horribly stupid. Just be aware of the source of these thoughts and insights and put them to good use. The Full Moon on September 15th is right there with Uranus, heralding closure of something in the thoughts and ideas arena, which ties in beautifully with the coming demise of this aspect. Nonetheless, changes have been wrought in how you see things that will serve you well if you've always been inclined to stay in your nice, secure, little box and always take the most conservative path. Nothing ventured, nothing gained should have new meaning for you now, so put it to work.

Mars and Venus are up to all sorts of things, most of it in your 10th House of career and reputation. These two will be in conjunction from September 7 - 18, which will ramp up your drive with an increased likelihood for encountering something beneficial in this part of your life. Interactions in the workplace with others of the opposite sex should be dynamic and interesting, so it's a favorable time to promote yourself with the powers that be. During much of this time, this happy planetary couple will also be squaring Jupiter. A square usually indicates a conflict of some description, though Jupiter is usually a benefic planet. Nonetheless, beware the square as in this case it will probably manifest itself as over-confidence on your part that could turn others off, if you come on too strong. You could also get yourself into something that's over your head.

Thus, while it's important to exercise your new way of thinking in positive ways, don't be careless, either. Make sure that you don't commit to something until you see it in writing or have done sufficient research to make sure it's real and not a trap that will get you later. Also during this time, Mercury will be squaring Jupiter as well, which will definitely mess up communications going one way or another, i.e. you may overstate your qualifications or someone could hit you with flattery that ultimately lures you into something that won't be in your best interest. No need to fear, just keep your eyes and ears open and base your actions on facts as well as any residual inspiration floating around in your head.

During about this same timeframe, i.e. from September 10 - 16, the Sun will oppose Uranus, another harbinger of change, giving you one final chance to look at things before the Full Moon closes out that phase so you can move on to the next. From September 17 - October 3, Mercury will trine Neptune. This looks good for inspiring a way to increase your income, however that plays out for you. A couple weeks into this, Mercury will go retrograde, giving you an opportunity to rethink it before moving forward so you can refine your plan. Planting seeds is possible, but nothing is likely to happen until after October 15 when Mercury once more goes direct, so take your time to investigate all angles.

Mars will be trining Neptune during most of this time as well, providing plenty of energy and drive to put your ideas into action. You will probably encounter some obstacles in trying to find what you need or might not like the answers. If there's anyone out there that would like to see you fail, they may be busily trying to undermine your efforts, so make sure your behavior is exemplary. Don't give anyone a stick to beat you with. From September 21 - 25 Venus will sextile Pluto, which will help you charm your way out of any tight spots and assist you in finding alligators in the water. Just following that, from September 27 - October 7, Mars will sextile Pluto, which will help you with any remaining soul-searching necessary relative to those career thoughts you're having.

The New Moon on September 29 is also in your career house, indicating something new is opening up in this area for the next month or so. This will be especially strong for December Cappies, so expect something in this area and be prepared to act on it accordingly by synthesizing all those new thoughts and ambitions going on in your head with what's going on around you. Cappies are great at climbing mountains and it looks like a new one's on the horizon.
