Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon occurs on June 7 in Sagittarius, your 12th House of the collective consciousness, spirituality, enlightenment, confinement, hidden enemies, and inspiration. Obviously that comprises a broad spectrum, but what it all has in common is that it all fits in the "woo-woo" category. A Full Moon represents the culmination of something; not necessarily and ending per se, but sometimes the completion of a milestone and thus the end of a phase. Think of this as the House that represents where you interface with the bigger picture of things beyond our five physical senses. The aspects in effect at the time of the lunation season its flavor and also indicate other areas of your life that are involved. Some of those this month are long-term, outer-planet aspects that will be like background music over the coming month or more. One of the shorter ones involves a T-square between the Sun/Moon opposition (the definition of a Full Moon) and Saturn in your 9th House of beliefs, higher learning, relocation, long-distance travel, and legal matters. Saturn, your Sign Ruler, came out of Retrograde back in May, which tied things up in this part of your life for four and a half possibly long, probably discouraging months. During that time considerations for some plan of yours was undoubtedly put on hold, giving you plenty of time to think about it from all angles. Now that Saturn is direct again, you can start figuring out what direction you should move toward, which should be complete or nearly so by mid to late August. This T-square represents getting your head and heart on the same page regarding whether that is really what you want or not. Perhaps you'll take a deep breath and step forward or conversely scrap the entire thing. Pluto, as you probably already know (some more than others, particularly if your birthday is right around Christmas), is in your Sign as a perhaps unwelcome house guest. The planets are somewhat like your mother-in-law, however, in that they don't wait or require an invitation to impose on your life. The good news for this lunation is that Pluto is making a nice, harmonious trine with Mars and Venus over in Taurus, your 5th House of creativity, romance, children, entertainment, ego expression, and speculation. Naturally the first thing most people think of when Mars and Venus is that they are the icons for male and female, respectively. Thus, the most obvious application is a romantic one. If this applies to your life, this offers some positive energy toward resolving any old issues that heretofore have been swept beneath the rug. Cappies who tend to be rather private people by nature often don't bring things up for discussion as they should, so this is a tremendous boost to take care of any business that you've been ruminating upon in your typical goat manner and needs to be taken care of, once and for all. Mars also is symbolic of energy and getting started on something while Venus also relates to our finances, needs, and what we value. Thus, in your 5th House of speculation and ego-expression, you can likewise plug these into Pluto for some deep, forensic work related to any of those areas. If you want to engage in some speculation, Pluto will help you dig up all the dirt on what is there and assure you have the information you need to make a sound decision. Mercury, who rules communications, is also in your 5th House, which will further enhance your ability to address this issue in a constructive way. A triple conjunction (a.k.a. stellium) in Aquarius, your 2nd House of finance, possessions, values, pleasures, and needs is also in effect for this lunation as well for most of the month between Jupiter, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron. This one has as many possible interpretations as there are mutual funds sucking for air. Jupiter, the great expander, does just that to most anything he touches. In many cases he's considered lucky, but that depends on what he's expanding; in cahoots with Neptune there's no telling. He also is associated with our a priori assumptions, world view, and ethics. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, Zodiacal 12th House of woo-woo land. In a nutshell, Neptune is all about illusions. Illusions are not inherently good or bad, but depend on the intent. For example, a beautiful photograph or inspirational movie is an illusion in that what you're seeing is not literally "real", particularly if special effects are involved. Nonetheless, it can serve a useful and positive purpose to inspire or enlighten. On the other hand, if it's used to deceive, like a fishing lure, then it's negative. As aspects go, conjunctions aren't inherently positive or negative, either, but simply a strong combination of energy of the entities involved. So you could have a flash of incredible inspiration and enlightenment that lasts all month or be living or witnessing a big fat lie. It gets all the more interesting when you throw Chiron, the wounded healer, into the mix. On your Natal Chart, Chiron is the prognosticator of the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or even financial injuries you'll experience in your lifetime that never entirely heal. Our challenge is to take those painful experiences, combine them with our sense of compassion and empathy, and then use our wisdom earned to comfort and console others similarly affected. Thus, Chiron also has two sides, one of injury and one of healing. Throw this trio together in your 2nd House of finance, pleasures, etc. and there's no telling what you could get as it would definitely cover the entire spectrum from million dollar brainstorms to losing everything. Whatever it is, the trigger is likely to be an unexpected event, since Uranus, planet of such, is prodding this rather interesting bubble of interesting potential with one of his ragged fingernails. Uranus is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys, so look there for the trigger. Mercury, moving right along in Taurus, your 5th House of creativity, romance and such, also appears to be throwing a few rocks in that direction. One possibility might be that just when you think things are settling down financially that some unexpected expense will come along that will annihilate your plans. Either that, or you get a little too creative with an investment and as good as it appeared to be, suddenly something happens that blows it out of the water, sort of like the folks who invested a bit too much in GM stock a few months ago. There's a lot of unpredictability here, and since I can't possible determine how this applies to everyone's life, you should have enough information here to be able to identify what it might be in your life, then watch it like a pot of boiling water that, useful as it may be, if it should splash too much on the stove, will put out the flame and allow your house to fill with natural gas. The New Moon is in Cancer, your 7th House of relationships, on June 22. This lunation, which implies something new or a new beginning, is opposite Pluto, implying that whatever the New Moon may be attempting to usher in may be contingent on understanding and dealing with the past. That Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron stellium is still there, so whatever is going on there is still in force during the ushering in of something new. Mars and Venus are in exact conjunction now and marking a partile trine (all are in the same degree) to Saturn in your 9th House of beliefs, relocations, legal matters, etc. Trines are harmonious exchanges of energy, so this at a very basic level bodes for a positive sharing of responsibility with your children, romantic partner, or perhaps in balancing your creative pursuits with reality and responsibility. Short Term Aspects The daily aspects are the signposts along the path toward the major events embedded in the lunations. Until June 20th, the Sun is in Gemini, your 6th House of work, so bear in mind that there is going to be a lot of emphasis there this month. Starting on June 2, Venus will sextile that Neptune/Jupiter/Chiron stellium, evoking an opportunity for you to use all that potential inspiration for the benefit of your household in some way. On the 3rd, Mars trines Pluto, throwing a bit of drive to get started on that forensic work that needs to be done relative to your children, romantic interests, or maybe even your ego. A few days later on June 5, something at work will challenge your beliefs or perhaps create a bit of a conflict through something like having to travel unexpectedly for your job. On the 6th expect a conflict that comes about in a dramatic way between something you want or need versus something you're responsible for or believe in. For example, a week before you're due to move to pursue your dream job in another state you fall in love with someone you meet in line at the video store. The Full Moon comes along on the 7th toting all the influences noted above. On June 8, Venus trines Pluto, bringing more of that energy to bear that can resolve old issues with your lover, children, or creative expression. On June 9th - 10th, Mercury is stirring up some innovative thoughts and ideas, though it may not have a very positive effect on your finances (i.e. that million dollar idea is going to take half a mil to get started). Mercury goes into Gemini on the 13th, which will facilitate communications as he enters dignity in one of the signs he rules. On the 15th, an adjustment, change of plan, or Catch-22 will come along due to a development on the job, or perhaps related to your health. For example, you hear of a job you qualify for that would be a big fat promotion, but it's not the career path you have in mind these days. The Sun will trine that stellium on the 17th, throwing lots of emphasis and energy in that direction, so if you don't already know what it might be, this should throw enough light upon it for you to figure it out. Simultaneously, since they're all in the same degree, the Sun will also fire up Uranus, which will set things off. Remember that the Sun is in your 6th House of work and health and Uranus is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors (which could also include coworkers), and short journeys; so this could be something unexpected on the job that messes with that bubble hovering over your finances. The Sun enters Cancer on the 20th, taking the emphasis from your job to your 7th House of relationships. The next day, Venus and Mars are appropriately in conjunction in your house of romance, so if you have something going in this area of your life, this may bring something nice your way. The New Moon is on the 22nd, also in your 7th House, along with all the aspects noted above. On the 23rd that old male/female baggage will get a lot of attention, then on the 26th expect more interference due to work responsibilities. This certainly looks like an interesting and potentially exciting month. By the time it ends, you should have a good idea of what that Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron stellium is all about in your life while the New Moon in your 7th House of close relationships holds some interesting promises as well. Keep an eye on your finances and a reasonable rein on your creative impulses, but maintain an open mind as you gather data pertaining to your situation. Cappies are conservative by nature, so you're not the one who's likely to do anything you haven't thought about, long and hard, and take note of the fact that this isn't the month to make any exceptions.
