Long-Term Aspects

There are three major long-term influences out there right now that you should be aware of. That way you can see how the daily occurrences in your life fit into the framework and clarify the direction in which you are heading. This gives them more meaning and also increases the likelihood that you'll handle them in a more meaningful manner. The first one you need to store away in the back of your mind is that Pluto has come to visit your 11th House of groups, friends, organizations, and hopes and wishes. This is going to be a very long-term visit, which is more accurately described as you're about to have a roommate who won't be moving out permanently until November 2024. Thus, it behooves you to get to know each other and become friends. Pluto is about death and rebirth among other things.

If there is anything worn out or that no longer serves a purpose in this part of your life, Pluto is going to be calling your attention to it so you can take proper action. Our lives will only hold so much, and in order to move forward sometimes we have to let go of something we no longer need. As a Mutable Sign, Pisceans typically can move on more easily than others. Note that the 11th House also includes hopes and wishes. Thus, if you've had something you've been clinging to in this category that is outdated, expect to be making some changes there as well. Pluto gets a bad rap more often than not and this is not to say that isn't deserved. Nonetheless, the bottom line is really about healing. Just like surgery is frequently a less than enchanting experience, it also is often necessary in order to effect healing. You can also think of it like cleaning out the basement. If you want to finish it off into living space, the first thing you need to do is get rid of all the junk you've been accumulating. If you go ahead with finishing the walls and floors, adding suitable lighting and other decor, yet don't dispense with the junk, you're not going to gain much for all your time, trouble and expense.

The next long-reaching aspect out there to consider is that Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse coming up on February 9th. This is the companion to the Solar Eclipse that occurred on January 26 in Aquarius, your 12th House of transcendence, inspiration, dreams, spirituality, and hidden enemies. Pisces rules the zodiacal 12th House so this is an area with which you are fond and familiar. Generically, this eclipse is related to changing your groups associations due to either travel or ideas as well as increasing your commitment to a relationship. This fits in well with what Pluto is up to, so will reinforce those aspects. The Full Moon eclipse on the 9th occurs in Leo, your 6th House of work, health and pets. Solar Eclipses typically trigger events whereas the lunar component works it at the emotional level. Also note that the effects of a Solar Eclipse can last as long as a year and as long as six months for its Lunar companion; thus, you may not see something immediately that seems to fit. Sometimes eclipses come and go with no apparent effect. Nonetheless, since these tie in with Pluto's task order, chances are you'll see something as a result. What is there about your 6th House that needs some work? This could be your day job, it could be your health, or it could be how you perform in these areas. If you need to improve your habits or let go of any that are self-defeating, now is the time.

The third long-term aspect to consider is that Saturn - Uranus opposition that will be in force until mid-March. These effects may linger for the entire year if this shows up in your Solar Return, which is most likely for those born before March 13. Saturn is all about boundaries, stability, responsibility, obligations, authority and delays and he's in your 7th House of relationships. Clearly this sounds like a likely match, like it or not. Uranus is in your 1st House of personality and if there's a planet that antithetical to Saturn, then Uranus is it. He's all about rapid change, rebellion, the unexpected, and freedom. Obviously this has interesting implications. Here you have Saturn tutoring you relative to your sense of responsibility to your relationships while Uranus is telling you all the reasons that it's "all about me." On the other hand, if you're in any oppressive relationships breaking free is exactly what you need to do. Note that for astrological purposes a "relationship" pertains to any one-on-one interaction such as close friends and relatives, your significant other, your accountant, doctor, attorney, and, if you're in business for yourself, your cliental. Thus, if you're in a stable, satisfying relationship with any of these individuals, it may not be affected, though there is certainly no guarantee of anything when Uranus is involved.

Note also that Saturn is currently retrograde. When this happens, Saturn bundles something up that requires deep consideration and stuffed it into your unconscious to incubate. As noted above, Uranus will be adding fuel to the fire until mid-March. By mid-May you will understand what this is all about and what you need to do about it. Note that this is not necessarily about ending a relationship; the correct answer, especially when factoring in the eclipses, could mean being more committed to one as opposed to less, or maybe a mixture of the two as applied to all your relationships. At any rate, come May you'll have a good idea which way you should be headed and if you act on it appropriately you can have it all squared away by mid to late August.

This is what's going on as far as the background music in your life over the next few months. Store this information away so that you can place the various daily events in the proper context, giving your more data upon which to make key decisions. I firmly believe there are no coincidences. Pisceans have a strong intuitive sense so you should be able to tell which events have meaning and which ones don't, particularly with all that action going on this month in your 12th House.

Short-term Aspects

This month your 12th House looks like Grand Central Station. The Sun is highlighting this area until the 18th when he moves into your Sign while Jupiter and Neptune, your Sign Ruler, are already there along with the asteroid Chiron, the wounded healer. Chiron helps us to process the various wounds we receive, whether physical or emotional, so that we not only learn and grow from them but also assist others with similar trials to grow, overcome them, and move on. Jupiter expands what he touches, and in this location is probably trailing his propensity for ethics in some way. Neptune, of course, brings inspiration and is particularly useful and comfortable in this house. Mars will move into Aquarius and join the convention on February 4th and Mercury will be there on the 14th, facilitating communications of all varieties. Top it off with the New Moon on the 25th and you couldn't have much more assistance going for you to usher in something new in this sphere of your life. It's also highly likely that your dreams will be profuse and vivid during this time.

It may start out with an annoyance the first week of February, however, which will come in the form of a financial hit of some type. That same day expect some insights into what's going on with your current group associations, friends, coworkers, or perhaps your hopes and wishes. About this same time another annoyance or two may come your way that will bring your attention to this even further. Perhaps someone will try to deceive you or perhaps you've been deceiving yourself. Is there something or someone, including yourself, holding you back? If a new or alternate approach is needed, perhaps to preserve or develop one of your special relationships, that should also become apparent at this time and could come as the result of one of those "Aha!" moments, especially when the Full Moon Eclipse comes along on the 9th.

On the 11th watch your back as there's a possibility that someone whom you think is your friend will turn out not to be with the truth coming out the next day in an unexpected manner. Maintain your personal boundaries and don't slip into the martyr role. On the 14 Mercury goes into Aquarius, which will enhance your understanding of much of what's going on these days, which may come in handy the following day when there's a chance of deception involving money or one of your possession. This includes theft, so be sure to secure your possessions properly that day. If it turns out to be a burglary look first to your circle of so-called friends. The 16th holds a lot of potential as a very pleasant day that will expand your sights or even your finances. There's no telling what will follow on the 17th, however. It could be a major breakthrough that opens the portals to an entire new plane of spirituality or another covert attack by false friends; time will tell.

The Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th, bringing light and emphasis to you personally. Things look good that day for getting along with the opposite sex as well as for benefiting greatly from the breakthrough a few days before. That same day you can expect a tremendous amount of inspiration regarding some aspect of a relationship. If you've just met someone, there's a good chance that this person is going to play a very significant role in your life. Annoying news or information will make you frown on the 20th, but the following day your ability to see beneath the surface will be greatly enhanced, bringing you increased understanding of the situation.

On the 24th be sure to find some quiet time to meditate or ponder the events around you because a major revelation is likely. On the 25th the New Moon occurs in Pisces and if your birthday is a few days one way or the other of February 25, this will be even more indicative of something new coming into your life, especially if it turns up in your Solar Return, thus affecting the entire year. This will be of a very personal nature so watch for it. You enjoy new experience and exploring new territory, either physically, emotionally, spiritually or sometimes all three, and something pleasant in one or more of these areas is afoot that same day. The last few days of the month brace yourself for being undermined once more by a hidden enemy of some description, though you'll fine out quite quickly exactly what is going on. A change in plan or other adjustment to the direction you'd planned to take in a relationship will close the month, though this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This month the bulk of the action is in your 12th House of things hidden and spirituality. This, of course, is a large part of who and what we are and development in that area is going to ultimately reflect in all areas of our life. It's also Pisces' home base zodiacally, so you will be very much in your element and regardless of any challenges that may come along, you'll be very intuitive and able to handle them well.
