Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on April 9th occurs in Libra, your 12th House of spirituality, inspiration and dreams on the upside and hidden enemies, confinement, and institutions on the downside. A Full Moon brings a culmination of some description, or a shift to a different phase, so take a moment or two to think about what this may mean to you. Each lunation has a character of its own, based on the other aspects that are active at that time, and this will also determine the theme of what you’ll be dealing with this month. Scorpios are very intuitive and discerning, so this shouldn’t be rocket science for you to figure out which 12th House issue you need to address. The Sun is in Aries for this Full Moon, your 6th House of work, health, and pets, which will highlight this area of your life in some way. With this particular pair activated, it’s an excellent time to look at whether your job is bringing you the satisfaction you need on the emotional level. If it’s in the intolerable range, it’s time to take a good, hard look at what you can do to change it before it affects your health; it’s no coincidence that your work and health reside in the same astrological house. Jupiter is complementing this Full Moon with an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential. A Full Moon by definition is an opposition between the Sun and Moon, usually making our head and heart have a dialog. Jupiter is in the position of mediator, helping point the way to a solution, by forming a harmonious trine to the Moon and friendly sextile to the Sun. With Jupiter in your 4th House of home environment, this implies that the answer to your dilemma lies in your home. A change of direction is lurking out there that relates to your 5th House, which comprises your children, romantic interests, creativity, ego, entertainment and speculation. You should have a pretty good idea which one it is, though the common thread lies in how you express your ego. Obviously, it’s not hard to see how all this, in turn, relates back to your home. Your sign ruler, Pluto, is giving your thoughts an additional boost toward discerning what you need to do regarding that work/health issue. It may relate to money (which of course if one of Scorpios favorite things, right next to sex) or possibly your values as they relate to the workplace. Relationships are another consideration. If your work is having a detrimental effect on your home life in any way, it bears attention, particularly if it’s affecting your spiritual well-being. If it’s dragging you down it will affect how you interact with the most important people in your life and may not be worth it. This Full Moon may well be telling you that enough is enough and it’s time to make a change. The New Moon on April 24th occurs in Taurus, your 7th House of relationships, so it’s not rocket science to see how this ties in with the Full Moon. If your birthday is on or around October 29th, this will have even more impact. This lunation is trailing a few challenges that will surface to get your attention. Someone new may come into your life, or it could pertain to reinventing an existing relationship. There are some conflicts brewing or escalating at home that require your attention, but turn on that Scorpio radar and make sure the information you gather is accurate. Also make sure you’re not ignoring something. You’re not easily deceived except by yourself, so make sure that isn’t the case. Something at work is going to bring a challenge your way, but you should be able to see right through it. Venus has been retrograde the first half of the month and her function is to call attention to anything you’ve been ignoring. She’s been digging around in your house of work and health and for a few days she was turning her light toward your children, romantic issues, or other 5th House matters, so that should help you identify what it is as well. At any rate, this New Moon is about confronting something that has gone on long enough, so if you don’t already know what it is, figure out what it is and take care of business. Daily and Short-Term Aspects The month begins with a change of course at work or relative to you health. This will involve your coworkers or friends or perhaps relate to your hopes and wishes in some manner. Trust your discerning mind and where it goes as it’s receiving some astrological assistance in figuring it out. News or information you receive is going to create an opportunity to expand something at home. About that same time a conflict may arise that keeps you from fulfilling your responsibilities at a group, your coworkers, or an organization. Adjustments will be called for in order to straighten things out. Around April 7th some inspiration should come your way that will provide an opportunity. It could be just about anything, but you should recognize it for what it is when it comes along. The Full Moon occurs on the 9th and on that date Mercury also enters Taurus, your 7th House of relationships, which should help facilitate communications in that part of your life. Venus back into Pisces on the 11th and will spend a few days reminding you of anything you’ve overlooked with your children, lovers, creative projects, and so forth. The 11th should be a good day for understanding what’s going on behind the scenes with one or more relationship. If you’ve been mystified by something, chances are you will have a revelation or insight at last that solves the mystery. On April 15th expect a disruption or surprise relative to your children, a romantic interest, one of your creative projects or even your ego. If you’ve been on any type of an ego trip of late, this may not be a pleasant encounter. Delusions are possible so keep that Scorpio radar deployed. The next day, Venus comes out of retrograde, which should further reveal anything you’ve been neglecting, including your own self-expression. News regarding a relationship or from someone close to you will be helpful regarding any group obligations you may have. It’s worth noting that Saturn has been retrograde in your 11th House of groups, organizations, coworkers, friends, and hopes and wishes since New Years Eve. This will flush out anything in this area that needs to be restructured and if you didn’t already know what that might be, you’re likely to figure it out on or around the 18th. The Sun goes into Taurus on the 19th which will further highlight your relationships. Remember that these include all one-on-ones, not just your significant other; close friends and relatives and business partners are all included as well and if you’re in business for yourself, it also includes your cliental. The 21st has a lot of potential for meeting someone new or for a very pleasant encounter with someone of the opposite sex. Don’t wait to pursue it, however, because a few days later something on the home front is going to demand your attention. New insights into relationships, past and present, are out there on the 23rd and then on the 24th that New Moon will come along and kick off the issues noted above. This will be a busy and somewhat complicated month that will involve issues at work, home, and in your relationships. Your children, romance, and creative endeavors will also be vying for attention in one way or another.
