Lunations and Long-Term Aspects

The Full Moon occurs on April 9th in Libra, your 4th House of home environment.  The 4th House of the zodiac is ruled by Cancer, and I don’t have to tell you how important home and family is to a Cancer.  A Full Moon brings a culmination or perhaps something moving to a different phase, so an event or situation regarding your home is about to draw to a close.  If your birthday is on or within a few days of June 27, this should have a significant effect, and I also want to point out that this is going to be of a positive nature.

Lunations have a character of their own, according to the other aspects in effect at the time.  In order to fully understand what a Full Moon contains astrological, you first need to remember that by definition it is an opposition between the Sun and the Moon, which implies a dialog between your head and heart; in this case, your head is in Aries, your 10th House of career and reputation, and your heart in Libra, your home environment.  Obviously, conflicts or tug-o-wars between those two venues are a dime a dozen.

Helping to mediate this situation, however, is Jupiter, who’s in your 8th House of transformations, shared resources, sex, death and regeneration.  Jupiter expands what he touches, often by providing input to our core beliefs that changes how we see the world.  He’s in a favorable aspect pattern with the Sun and Moon called a Triangle of Potential, which will help mediate that head/heart issue.  An emotional adjustment to your beliefs will be required, but this should come as a natural course of Jupiter’s intervention.

Deep examination of your relationships will be another element of this Full Moon; some may no longer be worth your time.  Maybe someone or something is taking too much of your time, keeping you from something of more value to you at this time.  Thus, it’s also time to examine your values, which will further assist you in reworking your beliefs and expectations.  We all evolve with time and the 8th House is usually where this occurs.  We often cannot put our finger upon how we were changed by an event, situation, thought, or other person, but we know we’ll never be the same again.

The New Moon is on the 24th, in your 11th House of friends, associations, groups, coworkers, and hopes and wishes.  A New Moon is a conjunction between the Sun and Moon and thus a place where our head and heart agree upon something.  This implies that something new is coming into your life that pertains to this area of your life.  Think about whether what you get rid of or set aside with the Full Moon may be making room for whatever this may be.  This lunation comes trailing a few challenges that you’ll be required to confront.  You’ll be giving this part of your life a lot of thought and may observe how something in that area needs attention.  This lunation is tied into that transformation area and involves your core beliefs, ideals, and also an area that has brought you pain or difficulty in the past.  Expect to make a few discoveries that motivate you to change your mind about something important.  This is going to be a turning point for you, even if it’s subtle at the onset.  Take note of what you observe and learn at this time and then refer to it a few months down the road and you’ll realize how much difference it made.

Venus has been retrograde since March 6 which will bring things to your attention that you’d been neglecting. By mid-April you will have discovered what that is and should be on your way to rectifying it.  Saturn is still retrograde in your 3rd House of thoughts, beliefs, neighborhood and short journeys, the function of which is to identify areas that need restructuring.  It’s apparent that restructuring your thought process ties in nicely with a shift in your belief system since the latter evolves from the former.  Saturn will be RX until mid-May.  Reworking how we think is an interesting concept, but it could also simply mean straightening out our thoughts and opinions about one particular issue.

Daily and Short-term Aspects

The concepts inherent in this month’s lunations begin on April 3rd with a quincunx between Mercury and Saturn, which will direct your thoughts toward your career or public image and indicate a change of direction is in order.  This is likely to be motivated by someone you’re close to that provides some mental fodder on the subject.  This will be the beginning of seeing things from a different knothole.  You may be quite resistant to it, but you’d do well to give it deep consideration.  This could also pertain to other 9th House issues besides beliefs which include higher education, religion, politics, relocation, and legal matters.  The Sun is in your 10th House of career and reputation until the 19th, so this part of your life is going to be receiving a lot of emphasis as well that may include some changes of course.

Inspiration in this area is out there as well that may also expand your view of things.  The Full Moon occurs on the 9th and Mercury also goes into Taurus, increasing the thoughts and communications relative to your interactions with friends, coworkers, and any organizations with which you’re affiliated.  On the 11th Venus backs into Pisces, bringing a few things to your attention that you’d overlooked.  Relationships and group interactions are always tied together in some way and it’s possible that one will follow the other.  Either someone close to you will introduce you to a new group or you’ll build a relationship with someone that until now you’ve associated with on a more casual level.

On the 15th Mars and Uranus collide in your 9th House of beliefs and so forth.  This is likely to bring a surprise, unexpected event, or disruption that will kick off those changes if nothing has previously.  Career and reputation are tied in as well.  Undoubtedly if you’re trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up, you should be able to get some good ideas in that direction this month.  Our career is going to be where we leave our mark on the world and this will obviously have a correlation with our beliefs in one way or another.  When Venus goes direction on the 16th, you should have a good idea what you’ve been missing.

Groups, friends, or coworkers will be occupying your thoughts on the 18th.  Maybe you haven’t had enough time for them lately, and you want to fix that.  The Sun goes into Taurus on the 19th which will bring even more emphasis to that part of your life.   On the 22nd Venus and Mars collide in your 9th House, which should further enhance your quest.  This will also bode generically for pleasant times with members of the opposite sex, so this is a good time to plan something special with your significant other.  An idea or news associated with your friends or coworkers or perhaps an organization will facilitate an expansion of your view of the world on the 23rd that will ultimately be transformational+.  This is going to throw some light on one or more relationships as well and you’ll see it in a different light than you had previously.  Expect to have an entirely new view of things when all is said and done.

This is going to be a month where your beliefs and expectations are undergoing a lot of action.  This could also involve going back to school, a major move, or legal matter, but all of these would ultimately also tie back into your beliefs.  These will ultimately bring about a variety of transformations in how and what you are, even if you can’t quite put your finger on it.  Group interactions, relationships, and your career and reputation are also up for review.  Expect a few surprises, but for the most part take note of what’s going on around you and give some conscious thought to how you spend your time.  Balance between those close to you versus group or organizational activities is also under review.  If you can’t seem to keep up with everything you have or want to do, it’s time to reevaluate how you spend it and make sure it matches what you want to ultimately achieve.
