Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 13th is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 5th House of creativity, ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. This House typically comprises where you have fun, but being as most Cappies are workaholics, fun takes a slightly different spin for y'all (myself included). Your Sign ruler, Saturn, is definitely making his presence known in this lunation, too, so that will make it even more interesting. For starters, he's trining the New Moon from your other Earth Sign buddy, Virgo, so those of you with birthdays between January 11 - 20 will have a Grand Trine with your Natal Sun. Virgo is your 9th House of legal matters, beliefs & expectations, higher learning, relocation, other cultures, and travel to unfamiliar places to say nothing of politics and religion. A Grand Trine has a nice, easy energy which bodes well for finding something in that 9th House that also is enjoyable and will have a personal impact and benefit. So far so good! Saturn is also opposing both Jupiter and Uranus, conjunct in Pisces, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, local travel, neighbors and siblings. Jupiter tends to expand or exaggerate what he contacts and Uranus is about surprises, disruptions, sudden change, rebellion, breaking away and things like that. Needless to say, that doesn't set too well with stuffy ol' Saturn. The effects are likely to show up as something major and rather sudden or unexpected in the way of an idea or perhaps involvement with a neighbor or sibling, though it could also manifest as a whole rash of local errands and running around. In opposition to Saturn, it suggests that this will keep you from pursuing something in the 9th or may even have an effect on your beliefs and expectations. Do the mix and match routine for the two houses and see if anything rings a bell. Last but not least, Saturn is also quincunx Neptune in Aquarius, your 2nd House of possessions, finances, income, needs and pleasures. Neptune and Saturn don't get along much better than Uranus and Saturn, though for different reasons. Neptune tends to dissolve and eliminate boundaries while Saturn likes to establish them. Neptune in your 2nd House can be inspiration or deceptive, but usually your Cappy Earth Sign practicality and ambition will keep you from being too stupid as far as your finances are concerned. You could actually benefit from a bit of help in escaping and relaxing, though, so as long as you direct that energy in the right direction you're in good shape. A quincunx necessitates an adjustment or change of course, so putting all this together implies that you may be getting to the point where you could benefit from some R&R (rest and relaxation) and need to restructure your efforts in pursuit of something you consider tangible and beneficial lying in that 9th House such as going back to school or even simply going after something you believe in with a vengeance. All in all, Saturn definitely is your friend for this go-round, which is more than some of the other signs can say. Besides, you typically know how to manage his energy, probably to a fault. You thrive on work and ambition, but maybe it's time you took a step back, for the sake of those around you if nothing else, and at least try to relax. (Yeah, right. Well, at least I tried. I didn't convince myself, either.) Pluto, camped out in your Sign, is being trined by Mercury in Taurus, which further points toward coming up with something to do that's fun, since Pluto in your 1st house is about transformations. So maybe the Universe is trying to tell you something. Jupiter is square Venus, which seems to contain a subtle warning that some big idea or brainstorm that relates to your work, service or health may not be such a good idea. Venus typically rules relationships and money globally and for Cappies rules your 5th and 10th Houses. However, Jupiter and Venus are generally benefic planets who aren't usually too much trouble. What this could indicate is a big idea will have the potential for making some good money or points on the job, but the last thing you may need is more work. The Full Moon on the 27th is in Sagittarius, your 12th House of dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, seclusion, confinement, institutions, self-undoing, hidden enemies and the collective consciousness, or what I generally refer to as the "woo-woo House." A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a different phase, so look for something in this part of your life to end or shift. Saturn's aspects to Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus remain the same except for the fact that by this time Uranus has slipped into Aries, your 4th House of home environment. Uranus in that house is likely to cause any number of disruptions and surprises and certainly isn't something I'm looking forward to; it was much more manageable in the 3rd, but thus it is, the planets definitely don't stay still, which is a good thing when you don't like what they're doing. In this case, if there are unexpected events that keep you from pursuing or reworking something then they're likely to relate to home. Uranus is also squaring Pluto by this time, which will undoubtedly affect you at the personal level. Changes in your home could be major remodeling or simply having your first child (certainly not simple, but normal) or the last one leaving home or maybe one coming back, bag, baggage, spouse and children, due to the declining economy. Pluto is quincunx the Sun which suggests more adjustments at the personal level as they relate to your work or possibly your health. Pluto is opposing Venus in your polar sign, Cancer, which is your 7th House of relationships. Venus in this house typically is pleasant, but what Pluto will do is allow you to see them through different eyes. If there is anyone out there who really isn't worth your time, now is the time to send them packing. Remember that the 7th includes not only your significant other, close friends and relatives with whom you interact on a regular basis and business partners, but other professionals such as your accountant, tax advisor, broker, hair stylist and so forth. Open enemies and competitors are also included. So this may mean no more than ditching your current broker; you decide. Mars is opposite Neptune, another somewhat uncomfortable aspect. Mars in the 8th House doesn't bode well for such things as accidents, but fortunately Mars goes into Virgo on June 8. Meanwhile be careful you don't over-do it or act carelessly. I didn't heed my own advice last month and have been limping around ever since. This aspect could bring more of the same since Neptune could delude you into thinking you're capable of doing more than you actually can. This could apply to your physical health or also your finances. Don't be too impulsive, which Mars is prone to do, but think things through and use your common sense. Short Term Aspects May 2: You may have to change course or adjust your plans or even go back to the drawing board. This may be due to a financial development, but may not necessarily be a bad thing. Just make sure you have your facts straight. May 2: Creative thoughts and problem solving will be strong today. Hidden information regarding a child or romantic interest may also come to light. May 4: If you're doing any speculating, avoid borrowing to pursue it. Romantic relationships could be a bit troublesome, also. May 7: Watch for opportunities in the work place or to provide service to others in some way. Interactions with the opposite sex should go smoothly. May 10: Mercury goes direct, allowing electronic and mechanical devices to function normally again. Communications should improve as well. May 13: New Moon in Taurus as described above. May 17: Be careful not to be over-confident today, especially at work. You may come up with some good ideas, but bear in mind they're likely to create more work, though this may not be a bad thing. Your creativity will be strong today, so put it to good use. It's also a favorable day to relax with a neighbor or sibling. May 18: Your work or service obligations may conflict with other plans, such as an extended vacation or going back to school. You may also encounter a conflict with your beliefs or some ethical consideration. You may encounter what appears to be a money-maker, but be sure to check it out thoroughly as it may be a delusion. May 19: Be very cautious in any speculating today. If one of your children or a romantic interest asks to borrow money or wants to spend some of yours, think it through very carefully. Ask some hard questions and you'll find out what you need to know. Put your creative problem solving, the more innovative the better, to work and you'll earn some kudos. May 20: This is another good day for some creative problem solving. Venus goes into Cancer, bringing her blessings to your close relationships. May 21: The Sun goes into Gemini, bringing more emphasis and focus to your work and service activities. It's also a good time to work on a fitness plan and healthy diet. May 22: Moving forward with major plans will encounter some speedbumps, perhaps due to unreasonable expectations. Make sure you're not expecting too much. May 23: Deep insights into yourself or a relationship are likely. May 25: If your current job isn't well suited for you and you're frustrated or bored, think about what course change or adjustments would be required to make your situation better. May 27: Full Moon in Sagittarius as described above. May 28: Uranus goes into Aries, bringing a lot of energy that could be unstable to your home environment. May 30: Your Sign Ruler, Saturn, comes out of retrograde, which will allow you to fully recognize those things that required restructuring, whether it's your beliefs and expectations, religious or political beliefs, plans for a long trip, relocation or returning to school, etc. You will have it figured out and largely taken care of by around the first week of September. |
