NEW MOON This month's New Moon is in Aries, which will liven things up a bit compared to Pisces. The New Moon as well as Venus are all squaring Pluto, which could bring something interesting to light. Pluto's transit through Capricorn has been all about unearthing and eliminating corruption, specifically in corporate and government venues. This suggests something along those lines will come out. Neptune is causing some friction and annoyances, probably in the form of confusion or delusion. This is where it's important to have reliable sources, which may not be the ones you think. The lunation is sextile Mars in Gemini, which implies an opportunity to take definitive action based on logic. Of course Neptune is trying to mess with this as well with unreliable information. The trine between Mars and Jupiter, however, promises some moral support from friends and organizations related to what you're trying to accomplish. A sextile pattern, which denotes an even bigger opportunity, connects Jupiter, Venus, and Mars, making it an excellent time to take action on something you need, whether it's to increase your income, take some time off for self-care, or something else that relates to your needs and comforts. It's been a rough year with COVID and it looks as if things are finally starting to lighten up, providing the chance to get out and do some of those things you've been denied. FULL MOON The Full Moon on 26 April is in Scorpio. With the Sun conjunct Uranus, this should bring some surprises or sudden change. This time Saturn is the most popular with the ongoing square from Uranus as well as squares from Venus and Mercury. Whatever Saturn is trying to rebuilt or plan is going to encounter resistance. With all the parties involved in Fixed Signs, this resistance will be strong. Mars has gone into Cancer where he is in fall. The emotional climate of this sign does not mix well with Mars drive and aggression and can best be described as "temper tantrums" when things do not go as expected. His trine with the Full Moon in Scorpio indicates a whole lot of passion behind the frustration. However, on a more positive note, perhaps Mars is highly motivated emotionally to pursue what he wants in which case the extra boost from the Scorpio Moon will make him a powerful force to be contended with. A semi-sextile between Jupiter and Pluto suggests some major annoyances and friction related to whatever Pluto has been up to. Making progress is going to be challenged this month, but if you put enough energy from your head and heart behind it there's a chance you'll succeed. As they say, we tend to learn more from our challenges and mistakes than when things go smoothly so maintain your optimism while placing one foot in front of the other moving toward your goal. Other Cosmic InfluencesThis month we get the first retrograde station to occur for a while. This involves Pluto, who was quite busy earlier this month with the New Moon. He stations retrograde on 27 April, the day following the Full Moon, so the planets haven't moved much, other than the Moon, and she's still in Scorpio. The three squares to Saturn are still in effect, but the Moon is now opposing Venus and Mercury. Typically, oppositions result in tension and are calling for balance. There hasn't been much of that lately, which relates back to the planets all clustered in roughly half the zodiac signs, except for the Moon. She functions as the trigger while the others tend to do the heavy lifting. This combination suggests a reasonable approach is needed for whatever it is you want. In other words, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Whatever you think you want or need and no matter how strongly you feel about that, there might be a happy medium, which would be better in the long run. Do some soul-searching and use your imagination to determine what else could serve just as well. Pluto's semisextile to Jupiter is getting a tremendous boost of energy. As noted about, this represents annoyances and friction relative to resolving something from the past, hidden corruption, or power struggles. If you have any planets at 26 degrees, this is likely to have a strong effect on you, depending on the planet, sign, and house involved. If your birthday happens to be right around January 16 this is happening to your Sun and suggests a major transformation is coming your way.
