FULL MOON

The Full Moon on 12 November is in Taurus. This lunation, given that the Moon is in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio, creates a dual Triangle of Potential with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This aspect pattern presents the potential for mediating an opposition, which a Full Moon is by definition. Looking at it as a simple opposition, an aspect that typically demands balance, the Sun in Scorpio tends to be determined and unmoving with regard to something it wants with a passion. The Moon in Taurus focuses on what it wants as well, usually some sort of comfort of luxury, yet often doesn't want it unless it's on sale. Thus, the conflict between the Sun and Moon may be the ability to patiently wait out what it takes to get this. Saturn is the natural ruler of authority, discipline, and responsibility and Pluto, as the god of the Underworld, stands for power and control. One interpretation of this would be calling in a favor from someone in a position to help out. Right, like asking your parents for money. On the other hand, it could also mean mustering the needed discipline to work harder, find a part-time job, or some other effort to save the necessary funds to make it happen. Pluto is similar in that it could relate to someone in a position of power, such as a genie in a bottle, or taking control of your destiny and making it happen, though Pluto does hint at this being of a sketchy or questionable nature. In other words, stealing that car you want so badly you can taste it may seem appealing, but not likely to be satisfying in the long run.

Mars in Libra, sign of his debility, where he's slightly encumbered as far as his autonomy is concerned, is squaring Pluto, putting the kabosh on those Plutonian solutions. Mar is sextile Jupiter as well, indicating a large opportunity is out there. Jupiter in his home sign of Sagittarius, however, tends to be philosophical at best and overly optimistic at worst. Maybe this is an opportunity to consider just how badly you want whatever it may be and whether it's really worth it.

Saturn's sextile to Neptune is nice for finding inspiration to help build your dreams, with a trine from the Sun and Mercury fueling it with more emotional energy. No matter how logical or smart you may think you are, logics do not rule the world, but emotions do. Think about it, sweetie. How much of the crap going on in the world right now is totally illogical but based on emotions and deeply held beliefs and expectations (hello, Jupiter in Sagittarius) that are simply unrealistic, stupid, or downright obnoxious. So,, with the Sun and Mercury in water sign, Scorpio, trining Neptune in water sign, Pisces, there's a huge energy transfer that will wield some power, even if it's the stupidest thing since the Edsel.

Venus squaring Neptune isn't providing any help, perhaps by pointing a finger at the finances, which won't sustain whatever you want.

NEW MOON

The New Moon on 26 November is in Sagittarius. The lunation forms a quincunx with Uranus, which suggests a sudden and unexpected change of course. Venus has recently stepped into Capricorn where she is trining Uranus. Venus in Capricorn is pretty cold and calculating and more likely to relate to money than romance. However, this could have good implications. Saturn and Neptune are still in trine, showing opportunities to build your dreams.

Mars opposes Uranus, however, showing some resistance to moving forward on whatever these changes may be. Let's say you have a windfall of some description, but you can't agree with your spouse or significant other how to spend it. One of you wants to pay off the house or car and the other wants to go on a dream vacation. The trine between Mercury and Neptune could work in the favor of that vacation, however, so use your imagination and best emotional influence to get your point across.

OTHER COSMIC INFLUENCES

MERCURY STATIONS DIRECT

The reason a planet stationing is a big deal is that it sits in the same degree for an extended period of time, slamming it with energy. This is particularly noticeable if the stationing degree connects with your chart in some way. Of course that includes your natal chart, relocated natal chart (if applicable), solar return, progressed chart, and so forth. Nothing is ever as simple as some think, which is why predictions are so complex.

Mercury stations direct on 20 November and is out of its shadow (meaning it passes the degree where it went retrograde) on 8 December, which is when true progress can begin again. At least the worst is over by Black Friday, i.e. the day after USA's Thanksgiving, when so many do their Christmas shopping. Anything electronic or mechanical purchased during the retrograde period could malfunction. However, if the item is a gift, if it's not given until Christmas, there's a chance this might be okay because that is when the recipient will assume ownership. I have not studied that closely enough to be sure because I prefer to play it safe and avoid it thanks to my Virgo rising, Capricorn Sun, and Gemini Moon.

The station occurs in Scorpio, an intense, obsessive, and passionate water sign which can really put the edge on communications. This can be a positive thing, however, with Mercury at the apex of a Triangle of Potential where he's mediating an opposition between Neptune and the Moon. Neptune in Pisces is pure fantasy and imagination while the Moon in Virgo is all about practicality, detail, and precision. Thus, if you're in a standoff with something that fits those categories, perhaps some heartfelt communications where each presents their point of view can help find a suitable compromise. The sextile between Neptune and Saturn is also favorable along similar lines for building the foundation for a dream.

Mars has gone into Scorpio where he is much happier than Libra. He's Scorpio's traditional ruler, so it's a comfortable placement where he projects passionate drive. The opposition with Uranus in Taurus, however, is another situation that begs for compromise. Uranus in Taurus is a bit of an enigma where the planet that brings surprises, disruptions, and disturbances is in a solid, determined, fixed, earth sign. It definitely reminds me of earthquakes and Mars in Scorpio certainly could represent a tsunami. I'm not saying this is likely because there are too many other factors involved, but think about this in a figurative sense where someone is pushing really hard for something they want but the resistance is strong, like trying to get your boat moving while it's still tied to the dock. That resistance could release at any time, however with a huge SNAP! so give that some thought regarding what the consequences of getting your way might be. Taurus can be patient but it is definitely not a pretty sight when that runs out. Then you're dealing with a runaway bulldozer. They may not go very fast, but if you can't run faster, you're in trouble, honey.

NEPTUNE STATIONS DIRECT

Neptune stations direct around this time every year, it seems, at least for the past several years. This time it's on 27 November with Neptune in partile trine with Mercury, which is great for the imagination. Both are in water signs, which throws in a lot of emotion and both enhance intuition. Neptune is being squared by the Sagittarius Moon, however, which suggests not being over-confident or too much of a know-it-all. Saturn may lend some practical help in building it, however, as long as you keep it within the bounds of reality.

Uranus is rather busy in this chart as well. As noted earlier, this is the potentially rebellious bulldozer. His trine to Venus, recently welcomed into Capricorn where she could be rather practical and cold as far as romance is concerned, but rather helpful as far as money is concerned. In other words, if you were to win the lotto under this, it would help you invest it properly as opposed to blowing it and being broke again in a year or two. The quincunx with the Sagittarius Sun suggests a sunden change of direction that could reflect in your attitude, belief system, or if you're a college student, and change of major. The opposition with Mars has the same interpretation as noted for the Mercury station.
