Return to Dead Horse Canyon: Grandfather Spirits

Book 2 of the Epic Triple-Award Winning Cross-Cultural Saga by Marcha Fox and Pete Risingsun

Review of Steven Forrest's "The Book Of Neptune"

"If you feel as if you've lost your footing, are sinking in quicksand or adrift on a large body of water with no land in sight, there's a good chance that Neptune is involved.
If that's the case, I can't recommend this book highly enough." --Whobeda

Natural House: 9th Natural House: 4th
Influences of the 9th house include your philosophy of life, beliefs, expectations, legal matters, attitude, higher learning/academia, publication, other cultures, religion, politics, long-distance travel, and relocation. This is where you process the information you receive and either reject or accept it into your opinions. You may expand your view of the world or be more inclined to socialize. Look for a culmination or shift to a new phase that relates to something in this part of your life. If it's time to move, consider astrocartography to help decide where the cosmic vibes are most favorable for your personal goals. Influences of the 4th house include your home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings, and new beginnings. This is where cycles begin or end, so it covers a plethora of possibilities. With a New Moon, it's more likely to be a beginning.  It's an excellent time to begin a new endeavor of any kind or to focus on one of those other areas such as home improvement, getting together with family, working on your personal history, or getting in touch with your oldest living relatives to learn more about your origins. For some fun ideas in the family history department, checkout Whobeda's (a.k.a. Marcha Fox's) "Family History Fun Factor" on Amazon.

Eclipses are much stronger than the usual garden-variety lunation. As a rule, lunar eclipses operate on the emotional level, often the reaction to whatever the preceding solar eclipse generated, which will be more visible. For reference, that particular eclipse occurred on 25 October. Eclipses occur when the Sun, Moon, Earth, and lunar nodes line up within a certain distance. The effects of an eclipse can manifest before the eclipse itself even occurs. I suspect this relates to the lunar nodes, but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

For this eclipse, the Moon is in partile conjunction with Uranus. If you're a regular around these part, you probably recall that Uranus presides over such things as surprises, sudden change, innovation, rebellion, breakthroughs, disruptions, disturbances, explosions, lightning strikes, technology, and various other things of that nature. He's difficult to predict, not only because of the vast variety of his influences, but because that's how he wants it as the king of surprises. So, that said, don't be surprised if something unexpected occurs on this day or close to it. The ongoing square between Uranus and Saturn is still in effect, however, and Saturn has the higher ground, being in dignity. However, the Sun and Mercury are squaring Saturn, too, which provides a lot of tension and resistance. Saturn and Mars have been in trine for a while. Saturn seems to be supportive of Mars' intent, but those squares from the Sun and Mercury provide additional restrictions. Squares generally represent a challenge or something that will be difficult to accomplish, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Mercury is in tight conjunction with the Sun, as well. They're not partile, since that refers to being in the same degree, but actually tighter than the Moon and Uranus since they're only 9 minutes of arc apart whereas Uranus and the Moon are 56 minutes apart. Mercury conjunct the Sun is actually cazimi, which means "in the heart of the Sun."  Sometimes when a planet is conjunct the Sun but not quite so close, it's considered "under the beams" which means its power if lost in the glare of the Sun. However, when it's cazimi, the Sun is broadcasting its power. Considering Mercury's function as the ruler of communications, this suggests some important news or information is likely. Factor in Uranus, and it's likely to come as a surprise. Venus is conjunct the Sun, too, but somewhat under the beams. She's also in Scorpio with the other two, where she is in debility. However, considering her general influence on love and money, this suggests finances may be involved in some way or perhaps relationships on a more personal level.

Scorpio represents the 8th natural house of the zodiac. Along with the 6th and 12th houses, it's considered unfriendly. It relates to intense experiences, birth, death, sex, debt, shared resources, intimate relationships, other people's money, legacies, inheritances, and so forth. As the Sun transits this sign, these matters may be emphasized. For example, note that Veteran's Day, when we honor those who died defending our country, is during this time.

The eclipse itself is in Taurus, a fixed Earth Sign. Uranus is exalted in Scorpio and thus in fall in Taurus, which may inhibit his effects or at least slow them down. However, if you think about "fixed earth" and what can disturb it, things like earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, and perhaps even asteroid strikes come to mind. Along those lines, supposedly a volcano in Alaska is "waking up."

Since Taurus also relates to financial security, this eclipse could bring something related to that. Considering the fact the finance markets of much of the world have been pretty honked up lately, this could bring the crash so many have been predicting for several months now.

Venus is hanging out at what's roughly the midpoint of several other planets, and thus participating in a course adjustment loop. She's trine Neptune and quincunx Mars. Mars and Neptune have been duking it out for quite awhile in what I consider an argument over information that Mars has amassed while trucking through Gemini. He recently stationed retrograde on 30 October, so is now retracing his steps. I don't particularly trust Neptune and suspect this relates to either gaslighting or redacting that data on which Mars wants to take action. This course adjustment loop from Venus might get something moving in that regard, especially with the Sun and Mercury also influencing Neptune.

Pluto and Jupiter are sextile, which I find interesting since Jupiter retrograde tends to flush out ethics and moral issues while Pluto was digging up dirt for a while, too. Maybe when Mercury makes it around to the latter degrees of Scorpio around the middle of the month he'll provide some help getting that information out. His trine to Neptune shortly before that might indicate whatever it is will be heavily redacted, which of course isn't much of a surprise given all the censorship lately. (Which you may not have noticed if your only news source is the mainstream media. You should really get out more, if that's the case.)

All of this gets all the more interesting considering this is the day of the midterm elections in the USA. There is so much controversy going on there to say nothing of a fierce battle for control, that it's very likely the fuse burning that could set off Uranus in all his glory. Stock up on popcorn and perhaps other more nourishing fare since there's no telling what that will trigger.

This is a very busy day in the cosmic neighborhood. The Sun has just barely entered Sagittarius when the New Moon occurs and Jupiter stations direct. Note that the New Moon and Jupiter's station are a mere 5 minutes apart. Thus, on the cosmic scale, they're virtually concurrent. A stationing planet tosses a whole lot of energy into that degree, which is going to be mostly directed at Pluto. So we have a New Moon in philosophical Sagittarius, which is the natural 9th house of the zodiac. This is the house where legal matters, the media, beliefs & expectations, politics and religion reside and Jupiter is its ruler. It's like that huge, gas-giant planet is saying "Hey, listen up!!"

As noted earlier, his function while RX is to review various matters for ethics and moral violations. Once direct, these are likely to come out and be acted upon. Okay, that action may be delayed with Mars retrograde. However, perhaps Mars retrograde will aid the process of backing up in time and doing what he can to perhaps undo anything in that category.

As the Sun, Moon, Venus, and Mercury are now in Sagittarius, those aspects noted for the New Moon have now released. The sextile between Jupiter and Pluto is still there and so is the trine between Saturn and Mars, but those squares are now kaput. With that resistance gone, what will occur? This occurs the Wednesday before the USA's Thanksgiving 4-day holiday, by the way, and could provide some interesting fodder for conversations at those big family get-togethers.

So Pluto-rooter and Jupiter are working together and so are Saturn and Mars. What might come out? Mercury in Sagittarius is likely to get the news out there, hopefully. Mars is still squaring Neptune, but hopefully Mercury will be unfettered enough to do the job properly. Then again, if this is dependent on the mainstream media, no telling what might come out. There are various unbiased sources out there that report on what's really happening such as the Epoch Times. Reliable, fact-based reporting is also available from Peak Prosperity.
