FULL MOON

This month's Full Moon in Libra on 11 April suggests you'll encounter something that involves one or more relationships, given that sign rules such things. Remember, also, that a Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase. Since you interact with people several areas of you life, this makes sense, whether it relates to the people next door, your job, friends, school, income, or whatever. The troublesome T-squares continue, those outer planets moving slowly enough that they maintain such things for a long time. This is how major trends develop and play out, but when they're as annoying as these have been, it certainly can get old. To refresh your memory, this one suggests difficulties taking control of something you would like to pursue which is also likely to involve others, either directly or indirectly, perhaps even simply that you're bucking up against unfavorable opinions or lack of support. If someone in authority is doing something like that, you are probably just about to the point, or possibly already there, where you are ready to fight for what you want. Breaking away if favored, but not necessarily easily.

Even if people aren't holding you back, other obstacles are likely; unfortunately, Saturn stationed retrograde a few days before this lunation, which is notorious for delays, boundaries, and slowing things down generally, and Mercury stationed retrograde 9 April, so this isn't obviously in your favor, either. However, Mercury RX is an excellent time to rethink, revise, reconsider, and redo. If you're changing course, then this is well-advised, even if it means you can't get moving in the direction you want immediately. Mercury is in Taurus, which isn't known for it's speed but it is for persistence and determination, which suggests once you make up your mind, nothing is going to change it. Mars in Taurus as well is like a bulldozer, which may not move quickly, but will not let anything get in its way. Venus, still retrograde and back in her favorite sign of Pisces, is another indicator of fighting for what you want and she's ready to take on anyone holding you back.

An aspect pattern I call a Course Adjustment Loop and sometimes referred to as a Learning Triangle, is out there, which implies a change of course is favored, which will help to some degree.  This will come about when you have finally had enough and make up your mind, once and for all, to take control and pursue your own direction. So there are some definite themes in this lunation, which bode nicely if you're tired of the status quo.

NEW MOON

The New Moon on 26 April is in Taurus, a Fixed, Earth sign that enjoins patience and determination. Mercury is still retrograde and conjunct Uranus in Aries, which suggests rethinking or reconsidering an impulsive action, perhaps attempting to undo something that didn't turn out as you had hoped. They are both trining Saturn, which has recently stationed retrograde, a time to rebuild and restructure. Venus is now direct and in the last degree of Pisces, where she is exalted. Venus is now the morning star, rising before the Sun, a time when various ancient cultures considered her the goddess of war as opposed to love. She is squaring Saturn, ruler of authority figures, responsibility, and tradition, suggesting conflicts in that area. Power trips and struggles are afflicting relationships where such has not been worked out in a fair and defined manner, but inspiration can help sort things out, if both parties are willing to make the necessary adjustments. Moving forward in a logic manner, based in data as opposed to feelings or emotion, could be the appropriate path, of which there are more than one. In other words, there is more than one way to solve the current problem.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

Three planets station retrograde this month (Saturn, Mercury & Pluto); one stations direct (Venus); and one is ongoing (Jupiter). Saturn stations retrograde on 6 April at 27:48 Sagittarius. Saturn RX typically indicates an area of your life that needs to be redefined and restructured, depending on in which house the event occurs. For Sagittarius, this is your first house, which relates to you at a person level as well as how others see you. If your birthday is right around 19 December, this station occurs conjunct your natal Sun, which will have even more impact. You have already been feeling these effects, which tend to feel similar to the stereo-typical wet blanket given Saturn represents restrictions, boundaries, responsibility, personal obligations, authority figures, your own sense of these matters, and so forth. Saturn has been said to be the Lord of Karma, so if you're don anything foolish (and who hasn't?) this could be a time when it bites you and you're forced to confront and, if possible, rectify things. More than likely the various planets stationing RX this month are in cahoots with one another, some be sure to factor them all in, which can help you identify what this is all about, if you haven't already. Saturn RX works at the subconscious level, so it may not be obvious what specifically needs to be done, so these other areas may yield clues, especially Mercury, since his RX gig is relatively short.

Mercury stations a few days later on 9 April at 04:51 Taurus. Mercury RX is the time to rethink redo, refine, reconsider, edit, or revise and not so good to begin a new endeavor. This is a time to look back and assess where you are and re-plan as required to achieve your objectives. If your birthday is right around 27 November, this station is quincunx your natal Sun, suggesting a change of direction, need for an adjustment, or in some cases as Catch-22. Taurus is your 6th house of work, service, health, pets, and employees, should you have any. Thus, this is an area to look at closely for something you need to reconsider, rework, revise or redo. If your job is not meeting your emotional, creative, or financial needs, a change may be in order. This is a time to evaluate your current situation for changes and figure out what your options are. Starting a new job, however, prior to 3 May, or better yet, 21 May, isn't such a good idea; getting ready to make a change, however, is.

Pluto stations retrograde 20 April at 19:24 Capricorn. His message is often one of elimination, to get rid of something you no longer need, whether it involves cleaning out the garage or attic, getting rid of old baggage, or perhaps relationships that no longer serve a constructive purpose. Capricorn is your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs, comforts, and pleasures. Pluto has been transiting this sign for several years, which implies that looking back over this part of your life during that time should give you some idea what to expect. Pluto is about resolving old issues and transformations. As the modern ruler of the 8th house, polar house to the 2nd, this brings a point/counter-point issue out since the 8th relates to debt, shared resources, other people's money, loans, and so forth. Pluto is also about power and control. With your sign ruler, Jupiter, squaring Pluto in the station chart, this suggests that your goals may be hampered by financial issues. Are you being exploited financially in some way? Or do you depend on others too much to help you meet your financial goals? When you turn up short, do you examine your budget for adjustments or get a loan? Living within your means is the most dependable way to find financial security. This is another long term retrograde period, giving you plenty of time to think about it and consider what needs to be done to fix it.

Venus stations direct 15 April at 26:55 Pisces. Since Pisces is the sign where she is exalted, and thus functions at top efficiency, it's almost like she didn't like Aries, a sign of her debility, and decided to go back to where she was comfortable for a while before heading out into the cold, cruel world. Her station chart implies an opportunity to take action restructuring and rebuilding some part of your life, which hands off nicely to the planets above who station retrograde.   Pisces is a fellow Mutable sign and represents your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings, and new beginnings. Venus is very well-placed in this sign so the extra energy of a station should be beneficial. She is squaring Saturn, however, which isn't helpful. If your birthday is right around 19 December, this station squares your natal Sun, which reinforces Saturn stationing on it nine days before. Venus RX often relates to deciding what you value. Knowing that is helpful in setting priorities. There is some positive energy that relates to your creativity and innovative talents which is tied into both Saturn and Venus. This all comes back to Mercury retrograde as well, and how you feel about your job. If you're thinking of doing something else for a living, or at least supplementing it with an activity you enjoy, this looks like a good time to be sorting through the information available and planning accordingly.
