...how astrology, ancient Egyptian mystery teachings encapsulated in the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus (The Egyptian Book of Tehuti, or Thoth), the Bible, the Gospel of Thomas, the star systems of the Pleiades and Orion, and the trinary star Sirius, interact as your life signposts. |

Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on December 13 is in Sagittarius, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships which include your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals and competitors. Mercury in that sign will help facilitate communications and data gathering, further emphasized by an opposition to Jupiter in your sign. Both planets are in the sign of their debility which would normally inhibit their function to some degree except in this case they're in the sign the other rules placing them in a condition known as mutual reception. This is good for taking off the rough edges and improving how they operate which in this case could involve a lot of ideas and information. Jupiter is also retrograde which suggests an internalization of his philosophical energy which can sometimes also relate to ethics issues. Even more interesting is the fact that Jupiter is the eye of a yod, the same one that appeared in last month's Full Moon though at this time the planets that were conjoined with the base at that time have moved on leaving us with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. If your birthday is right around May 31 Jupiter is doing the Texas two-step on your natal Sun and working at some sort of personal expansion through all this. Note that the eye of a yod is not necessarily the end result, though it could be. It could also be what kicks off the opportunity implied by the sextile base. Thus, the sequence of events and their relationship to each other (and you) are not apparent from the chart alone but will be dictated by the circumstances of your life and how this will play out for you. The yod at the time of the New Moon is a bit sloppy in that the degrees are not yet the same for all three planets in their respective signs. Interestingly enough this will occur on the infamous date of 21 December 2012, which you may be tired of hearing about by now. Just to digress for a bit, I'd like to point out that the
chart for that date (shown below) looks a lot like that of the New Moon and
certainly doesn't look apocalyptic. I've seen much more ominous looking
charts for hurricanes and tornadoes so if there's a solar flare or asteroid
impact on the way it certainly doesn't show. This is not to say they won't
eventually happen, only that it doesn't look very likely it will be on December
21, 2012, which will inevitably be a major disappointment for numerous people
other than those who amassed a whole bunch of money playing on people's fears. That said, let's go back to the chart for the New Moon and what's going on with that yod. Jupiter, as noted above, is in Gemini and possibly on your natal Sun. Jupiter is lucky and expansive so this is a rather fortunate transit further supported by the fact he's eye of a yod. Mercury is also bringing in a lot of mental energy, particularly as your sign ruler. Coming from your 7th house this implies this information could come from someone close to you, perhaps someone new considering the New Moon or perhaps a new way or relating to someone you already knew. Saturn and Pluto comprise the base, connected by a sextile which often denotes an opportunity. Saturn is in Scorpio, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets. Saturn relates to hard work, responsibility, discipline, karma, authority figures, structure, boundaries and delays to name a few. This implies that you'll be working hard, possibly assuming additional responsibilities or building some sort of plan. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, debt, and things you suppress or ignore. Pluto is accidentally dignified in this sign as modern ruler of the zodiacal 8th house and he's also in mutual reception with Saturn, allowing these two to work together synergistically like Mercury and Jupiter. Mutual receptions are a bit unusual, even more so to have two at one time. One brief aside while I'm thinking of it, Mars is also in that house which is usually a caution flag. Mars in the 8th can predispose you to accidents so don't take any unnecessary risks until a few days after Christmas. Back to Pluto, he's cleaning house in this part of your life, or wants to. This may be facilitated by his relationship with Saturn and your work at this time. Take a look at those matters associated with the 8th and try to envision how work could relate to any of them, perhaps something nice like a raise which would help you pay off a few lingering bills. Information pertaining to all this could come to you unexpectedly, perhaps through a friend or a group association. Make sure you consider everything in your usual logical manner and make sure there are no misunderstandings or delusions associated with your course of action. Neptune is plodding through your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status which could cause some delusions. Refusing to see or understand implications in that area are also possible. Wishful thinking about the end result of any projects may also not reflect reality. The Full Moon on December 28 reinforces the yod, its energy essentially the same. The lunation occurs in Cancer, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures, perhaps indicating a culmination or shift to a new phase of this part of your life which is associated with all that yod business. Saturn is forming a Triangle of Potential with the lunation, further pointing toward some changes related to your work. More surprises or possibly disruptions are possible with regard to friends or perhaps your goals, so be as flexible as possible as things play out. |
