Pamper yourself with harmless indulgences, e.g., a candlelight bubble bath with soft music and incense, on a regular basis.

Find dessert substitutes like fresh fruit topped with yogurt to control cravings.

Take note of what you're eating and the quantities so you can continue to consume a similar amount of calories when you go back to "normal" food.

Don't cut out your favorite foods entirely.  Either cut back on quantity or find substitutes.  Depriving yourself long-term will result in binges.

Does not change your eating habits as required for permanent weight loss; tendency to go back to the way you ate before when you decide to quit dieting.

Depending on how long you need to diet, can be expensive or boring.

If you're really lazy and don't start an exercise program, you'll gain back everything you lost when you go back to eating "normally" again.

 

Taurus:  You like comfort, convenience and being pampered.

Gemini:  Who has time to mess with all that menu and calorie counting crap?

Libra:  It's too hard to make up your mind with all those choices on other diets.

Scorpio:  It's hard enough to diet.  Let someone else do as much work as possible.

 

If you want to lose weight because you're finally fed up with feeling tired and not being able to tie your shoes, then you're either pregnant or have a 2nd House motivation.  This House drives your possessions, which includes your body.  It also covers sensual pleasures such as gourmet food, fine beverages and hot oil massages.  In this House you are only thinking of how you feel about yourself.  You're not trying to impress anyone, you just want to feel good and like what you see in the mirror.  You're taking care of yourself, as you would any other valued possession; kinda like taking your car in for an oil change. 

If this is where you're coming from you'll want to initiate your diet when there is significant astrological activity in your Natal or Natural 2nd House.  Your Natal 2nd House depends on what time you were born and is shown on your Natal Chart.  If you don't have one and are too cheap to buy one, then you can get some help from your Natural House, which you can determine from the chart at the bottom of the page.

The Universal 2nd House belongs to Taurus.  As most people know, this sign likes comfort and nice things but is also somewhat cheap.  I mean frugal.  Very frugal.  This puts another spin on diets that relate to this House.  For example, those size 5s in the closet are not from Wal-Mart because you like things that are soft and fit well.  Right now they don't fit at all.  Since your budget won't allow buying more right now, however, you simply need to lose weight so you can fit into existing clothes and save money.  (These would obviously be the Slim Fast folks and not those with personal trainers.)

*Be aware that some aspects may actually be contrary to losing weight, especially if they involve Venus or Neptune, which can make you lazy or delusional respectively.  This pair is likely to make you think you can take off that flab by eating nothing but chocolate as long as you watch Oprah daily.  Currently Neptune is in Aquarius, and will be for quite a long time, which doesn't bode well for Capricorns.  For Cappies to overcome this particular problem, try using that Neptunian idealism to visualize yourself the way you'd like to be when you lose that weight and then use your Cappy practicality and goal setting abilities to stick to your diet and exercise regimen as if your financial future depended on it.  Venus moves fairly quickly, so shouldn't be a hindrance for an extended time (except when retrograde, in which case she could be there roughly four months, give or take).  To get past Venus, just focus on pleasures other than eating.
