These two Air signs are in Trine on the Zodiacal scale, meaning they should have a natural affinity for one another and this is very likely to be the case. Both like to talk and there is just enough in common for a good foundation and just enough not in common to make it interesting. If there is one thing that Libra is driven by it’s fairness. They listen to everyone’s story and do a remarkable job assimilating it and understanding at a level other signs can’t begin to reach. This well-developed sense of viewing the Universe from someone else’s figurative knothole is what makes them such a good match for a Water bearer, who is usually going to be an odd duck by anyone else’s standards and probably opinionated.

This is not to say that Aquarians are weird. Well, actually, I guess it is, but not necessarily in a bad way. They just see things very differently, are rather critical of society as a whole (and you have to admit that today’s world is a target rich environment), and are nonconformists extraordinaire. Yet a Libra has this incredibly amazing way of understanding all that, finding the beauty in it, and actually being capable of defending it to anyone who questions it.

It is very likely that this natural understanding is the attractant between them in the first place. The Aquarius may be tired of criticism and lack of understanding, which Libra offers effortlessly. The only problem these two might encounter is Libra’s liberal viewpoint, the very thing that brought them together. This is because Libra doles out understanding without prejudice. The Water Boy or Girl, as the case may be, may not be so understanding, Fixed Mode that they are, and tangle occasionally with Libra over issues that Aquarius has a strong opinion about, which isn't likely to change.

If these issues are of an emotional nature there could be a problem since that is when Libra loses that incredible gift of gab and clams up like a (never mind, I’ll spare you the simile since none that come to mind are very nice). Libras like to talk about everyone and everything except their own feelings and emotional issues. This is probably because it’s hard to live their astrological inheritance of being fair to both sides when their heart is in the balance.

Nonetheless, this pair has a lot to work with and can be good for each other. Libra will have a bit of a challenge with ideas they’ve never considered before and Aquarius will have someone (other than another Aquarian) who actually understands why they always wear that hat with the aluminum foil lining when they go out in the Sun.
