NEW MOON 

The New Moon this month trines Pluto, suggesting a new development that originates somehow in the past. Pluto often relates to old, unresolved issues, which were swept under the rug. He can also represent hidden corruption and such, so if you have any dirty, little (or not so little) secrets, these may come out. Since the New Moon is semi-sextile Venus in Gemini, these could relate to love or money, with new information causing a bit of friction or an annoyance. Jupiter is trining Neptune, both in Water signs, giving this an emotional touch which could relate to expanding upon one of your dreams. However, Jupiter can be full of hot air and Neptune can be full of illusions, so you might not want to take anything these two bring your way too serious. Most folks think of trines as favorable, but all they really are is an easy energy exchange. When the planets can't be trusted, this is not necessarily a good thing. At the very least, caution and close scrutiny is advised.

Uranus is getting ready to leave Aries, and is only a sneeze away from doing so. In other words, about three and a half hours after the New Moon, he'll be in Taurus. Mars is about to do the same from Capricorn into Aquarius, which will happen about 16 hours later. This should be an interesting energy shift as these two generally malefic planets go from Cardinal Signs to Fixed Signs. They may have a "last hurrah" for the New Moon, however, with both at 29 degrees of their respective signs, which tends to carry a lot of weight. Mars is exalted in Capricorn where his drive and energy find discipline while Uranus in Aries has certainly been full of surprises and sometimes explosive. Mars in Aquarius should be interesting, his fiery nature getting a boost from this outgoing Air Sign. Aquarius loves social issues, so this could bring more protests (as if we haven't already had enough). However, many are important and need to be ramped up, so this could very well do it. Uranus in Taurus will be different as well. What comes to mind is dynamite blasting its way through solid rock. In other words, less fire, more "BOOM!"  The square between these two will start to fade out by the end of the month, since Mars moves so much faster. However, it should be interesting to see what mischief these two get into while they're in cahoots.

FULL MOON

The New Moon was fairly quiet, but this lunation looks a bit more dramatic. Whenever I see a big red "X" in a chart, it gets my attention. One of these oppositions is to be expected, given it's the one between the Sun and Moon, and thus the definition of a Full Moon. However, Venus and Saturn are one sign ahead of the Sun and Moon, respectively, and also in opposition, creating that "X". Venus in Cancer can be somewhat sloppy and sentimental while Saturn in Capricorn, where this old man is in his dignity, is about as conservative, cold, and traditional as you can get. This looks like any whining will get shut down rather quickly. It's interesting that Venus is part of a Grand Water Trine with Neptune and Jupiter. The trine between those last two was noted earlier under the New Moon. In other words, they could be a lot of inflated delusions. Tie this in with Venus, natural ruler of love and money and an emotional sign like Cancer, and you're likely to get a whole lot of panty-wringing. On a mundane level, this should be interesting to watch.

The Sun is quincunx Saturn, suggesting a change of direction based on data and logic. Makes sense to me. Mars, now in Aquarius, is trining the Sun, implying that civil unrest noise may get some attention that makes a difference, especially since Mars and Uranus are still in square from their new homes. Mercury is in the last degree of Taurus; the last degree of a Fixed Sign often indicates a permanent ending. This sounds interesting indeed! It's interesting that all the emotional whining probably gets shut down, yet it nonetheless looks like some logic may be behind it that ultimately makes a difference. Bear this in mind, that emotions, powerful as they may be, often need to be backed up by hard data if you want something to change. Emotions carry a lot of energy that gives intent momentum, but there are numerous parts of life that can't change without facts and a sound argument behind them.

OTHER COSMIC EVENTS

There are no new retrograde planets or anything of great import other than the planetary ingresses already noted above. If your birthday is right around 8 November, Jupiter is parked on your natal Sun. As ruler of your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, and pleasures, you may be experiencing some interesting things in those areas. Note that Jupiter is part of that Grand Water Trine mentioned under the Full Moon. This Grand Trine falls in your 1st house (Jupiter), 5th House (Neptune) and 9th House (Venus), all of which are considered friendly houses. While Neptune in the 5th may blur your self-identity somewhat, he may also indicate some fun times that involve water (such as overseas travel) or perhaps lots of partying, though if you're inclined to be spiritual, this can have a favorable effect there as well. This is a time that takes you to new dimensions, softens your outlook a bit, and should even bring some optimism your way. However, as noted under the Full Moon, there's a good chance this is going to operate primarily at the emotional level, though if you're a master at focusing your intentions, it could bring them your way as well. Just remember you don't need to buy more than one lotto ticket. If you're supposed to win, that is all you need.
