This month the first cosmic event worth noting of several is your sign ruler, Venus, stationing direct on September 6 after doing the backstroke for the past month and a half.  It seems that during that time nothing has gone right, even worse than Mercury retrograde, which is coming up later this month.  During these gigs her mission is to call attention to what you value enough for fight for, if necessary.  This one took place in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings so look to this part of your life for hints if you're unsure what this was about.  Since during this time she spent a fair amount of time sharing that sign with Mars, relationship implications are strong.  A transformation of your attitude, beliefs or expectations is possible and could effect a change of direction.  Be wary of being too critical, which is easy to fall into with Jupiter in Virgo.  Find a sensible balance between fantasy and reality, even if it challenges what you've thought up until now.

The New Moon on September 13 is also a Solar Eclipse that takes pace in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation.  This one will only be visible in the southernmost tip of Africa and parts of Antarctica plus it's not a total eclipse but annular since the Moon is too far away to occlude the Sun entirely.  Eclipses are a lot more powerful in their effects than the usual lunation and also can last for months.  In fact, sometimes the effects manifest before the actual eclipse.  Don't even ask how because I have no clue, only that it can work that way at times.  This one trines your natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 11, which will make it even more personal.  A breakthrough at the subconscious or spiritual level could be part of this and also tie into Venus' mission and reinforce it.  A change of direction is likely as a result. 

Just when things started rolling again, of course Mercury stations retrograde on September 17.  This occurs in Libra, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets.  This is a time when you should avoid buying anything mechanical or electronic or making any major decisions, which you hopefully already realize.  The station chart is tied into Venus which also suggests her retrograde gig along with the need to rethink or reconsider something in this part of your life.  Letting go of something in the past is another ongoing theme which is likely to relate to your beliefs and expectations or some other 9th house matter such as legal matters, higher learning, other cultures or relocation.  Taking action on what you want is probably still encountering obstacles which is probably a good thing now that it's time to rethink it anyway.

The Sun goes into Libra on September 23, marking the vernal equinox in the Southern Hemisphere and the autumnal equinox in the Northern.  Whenever the Sun goes into a Cardinal sign it brings a new season as well as the equinoxes and solstices.  This chart is important in mundane astrology including weather prediction.  By this time Saturn has finally moved into Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth, things you suppress, intense experiences, shared resources and debt.  The sextile from the ingress Sun suggests opportunities, perhaps at work, which could bring an important change.  You may be resistance, given that you don't change your mind easily.  Balancing reality and illusion is still necessary in this process.

Pluto stations direct on September 25 in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn.  If your birthday is right around May 3 this will trine your Sun and have more punch.  This is your 9th house of beliefs and expectations as defined above.  This will be the time when ruminations over the past come to the surface so you can confront them for resolution. 

The Full Moon on September 27 is a Lunar Eclipse in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, dreams, visions, enlightenment, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing.  An innovative solution could surface for an issue involving love or money and while you may want to move forward on it, those obstacles are still there as well as that huge caution flag from Mercury retrograde.  Measure all the information as objectively and realistically as possible but don't be afraid to go with your intuition in the case of any conflicts.
