This month the first cosmic event of many worth noting is Venus stationing direct in Leo, your 11th house of friends, goals, hopes, wishes, groups, organization and networking.  If your birthday is right around October 8 watch for an opportunity to come your way in this area.  Venus' RX mission typically relates to retrospection regarding what you value the most and are willing to fight for.  Think about what you want to accomplish and what you're going to do to get there.  Venus is your sign ruler so her behavior is personally relevant to you.  She also rules your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth, intense experiences, debt, shared resources and things you suppress so this one comes into play as well.  Mars and Venus were conjunct during the last part of August and the first week of September which has relationship implications. 

Relationships are important to Libras who typically need companionship.  Indeed, many Libras would rather be in a bad relationship than none at all.  If this sounds familiar, then perhaps this is something worth pondering.  If you know you deserve better maybe it's time to do something about it.  This will require making some changes which probably involve dealing with something from the past.  Probing your subconscious to discover what this is can be done, even though this may be a bit uncomfortable.  Inspiration is out there, though, if you're listening.  Those of you with an October 3 birthday have Mercury parked on your natal Sun which can be of assistance as well.  Breaking free is a process that you can begin now.

The New Moon on September 13 is in next-door neighboring sign, Virgo, your 12th house which just happens to contain your subconscious mind as well as your spiritual side, enlightenment, inspiration, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors.  This lunation is also a solar eclipse which gives it a lot more influence and staying power.  As far as visibility is concerned, only those in the southernmost tip of Africa and parts of Antarctica will be able to see it and it's not total but annular since the Moon is too far away to entirely occlude the Sun.  Nonetheless, astrologically eclipses are important and offer trigger important events.  This one also hints at breaking free, particularly if your birthday is right around September 13 when this occurs.  In that case, this eclipse will be part of your solar return which will make it an important year.  Much of this is likely to operate at the subconscious level, particularly if you're in denial regarding your situation.

On September 17 Mercury stations retrograde, which can further assist you in this process.  He starts his retrograde gig in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around September 8.  Remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical at this time.  Rethinking, reconsidering, re-planning, reworking, revising and so forth, however, is favored.  It's also a great time to get caught up on anything you've been procrastinating or putting off.  Having Mercury RX in your solar return typically brings a year when you're finishing up old projects as opposed to starting new ones.  Needless to say this can be quite useful; you just need to recognize it for what it is and not fight against it because the planet will inevitably win.  Mercury is aspecting Venus and thus reinforcing her RX message, somewhat like a cosmic relay race.  Focus on what your needs truly are.

The Sun enters your sign on September 23 and as you probably know this marks the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and vernal equinox in the Southern, the day when the Sun rises due east and sets due west.  If you've never notices how the Sun's position changes during the year maybe it's time you paid attention starting now.  Note where the Sun is on this day and then, if no other time, where it is for the solstice three months from now.  That change to the Sun position which relates to the duration of day and night as well as the angle its rays hit the Earth is what causes the seasons.  I hope you already knew that.  I'm appalled at how many don't.  Seriously.

So that day when the Sun goes into Libra is astrologically known as the Libra Ingress and the chart sets the tone for the coming season.  It's used extensively for mundane and geo-political astrology as well as astro-meteorology, i.e. weather prediction.  With Mercury retrograde it implies that not much progress will be made during this time.

Pluto stations direct on September 25, which will help unleash some information from your subconscious.  He's hanging out in fellow Cardinal sign, Capricorn, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings.  What he reveals is likely to bring a considerable challenge that you may not like but should pay attention to.  Taking action is going to encounter resistance and obstacles.  Mars has gone into your 12th house and will be pushing you forward but it's also a time to watch your back.  Saturn has gone into Sagittarius, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  This can bring discipline and organization to this part of your life but can also be a bit of a downer and depressing.  He's going to be there for a couple years so be aware the influence is there.  Saturn is your exalted ruler, however, so this can be beneficial if you don't let it bum you out.

The Full Moon this month is in Aries, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, cliental, business professionals, competitors and open enemies.  This lunation is a lunar eclipse which makes it more powerful as well but focusing more on the emotional plane than events and situations like solar eclipses do.  If your birthday is that day then you'll have this with you for your solar return.  This lunation further reinforces everything else going on this month.  This may be the "Aha!" moment you need even if you don't particularly like it.  Nonetheless, trust in the Universe's inherent wisdom.
