Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The first cosmic event of several worth noting this month is Venus stationing direct on September 6.  She has been doing the backstroke since late July and I suspect she's responsible for at least some of the annoyances encountered during that time.  As the natural ruler of love and money, her retrograde often is directed at pondering what you value most as her energy is internalized.  When she eventually becomes the morning star rising before the Sun, the ancients considered her the Goddess of War which in modern times I consider the persona needed to go after what you want, even if you have to fight for it.  The majority of this gig occurred in Leo, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, shared resources, debt, death and regeneration including some aspects of sex, and things you suppress.  She has spent much of this time with Mars also in Leo, providing relationship implications as she moved past him, then threw it into reverse and moved back toward him for a conjunction that lasted for the last few days of August and for a few more after stationing direct. 

Your 8th house is one where significant changes can occur, so don't miss this chance to use this energy in a positive way, particularly to get rid of any past baggage, which is further assisted by Pluto in your sign.  If your birthday is around January 5 this will have an even stronger influence and is likely to involve your beliefs and expectations or some other 9th house matter such as higher learning, legal matters, long distance travel, relocation, other cultures or your philosophy of life in general.  Expansion of this part of you life will be in progress for approximately a year as Jupiter transits through Virgo.  Currently he's moving into an opposition with Neptune which suggests the need to balance inspiration with reality.  Another possibility is new inspiring or insightful ideas being the vehicle to expand your belief system in some way.  All of this combined can help you set a course in a new direction while breaking free from the past.

The New Moon in Virgo on September 13 is also a solar eclipse which gives it additional punch and staying power.  If your birthday is right around January 11 it will trine your natal Sun, providing additional influence.  If you are geared up for a new start, this can be very helpful for changing course as well as incorporating the vibes from Venus and Mars as well.  Mercury is facilitating news and information in your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status but he's going to station retrograde in a few days on September 17 and you know what that means.

In case you don't, Mercury RX is a time to rethink, reconsider, regroup, revise and re-just about anything.  It's likely to relate to your 10th in some way but since Mercury rules your 9th house of beliefs as defined earlier as well as your 6th of work, they are likely to be involved as well.  Thus, if you're thinking of moving off in a new direction, it looks as if Mercury will throw some delays your way with an admonition to rethink your original position, especially if the change you're contemplating is a major one.  Ponder what you've learned over the past few months which you consider important and be sure to factor that into any decisions.

The Sun goes into fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, on September 23 marking the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and vernal in the Southern.  With Libra your 10th house this bring attention to that venue to help in your ruminations.  Ingress charts are important to mundane and geo-political astrology as well as weather prediction in that it sets the tone for the coming season.  Your sign ruler is back in Sagittarius at this time and sextile the Sun which suggests an opportunity lurking at the subconscious level.  Sag is your 12th house of inspiration, subconscious mind, enlightenment, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing.  Saturn will be there for a while rebuilding that part of your life which could ultimately result in profound changes and is also conducive to ditching old baggage.  Pluto, master of such things, stations direct on September 25 which will also help bring anything to the surface that you need to deal with, particularly with regard to getting rid of anything you no longer need.

The Full Moon on September 27 is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Aries and is a lunar eclipse.  Eclipse guru and master astrologer, Bernadette Brady, labels this eclipse as stressful and energy depleting.  Supposedly effort will be required related to ensuring events and she also warns of illness or accident.  Nice.  If your birthday is right around December 27 (:-( mine is the 25th) the lunation will form a T-square with your natal Sun which could give it more influence.  Fortunately for us Cappies we're not short on ambition or drive so can hope that this eclipse in our house of endings and new beginnings will further facilitate our path in a new, exciting direction.
