Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month is a bit quieter astrologically than the past few have been but that is not to say that nothing is going on out there in the cosmos.  The New Moon on November 11 is in Scorpio, your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations, networking, hopes and wishes suggesting something new coming your way in that area.  With Mercury in that same sign it will probably come in the form of an idea or perhaps information which is going to have your shift direction somewhat.  This is because the lunation forms the base of an aspect pattern known as a yod, a.k.a. finger of God, which has a fated flavor and usually brings an important change.  This will be most noticeable for those of your born right around January 10 since it will tie into your natal Sun.  The other planet involved holding down the base is Jupiter in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, philosophy of life, other cultures, long-distance travel, relocation, religions, politics, opinions, publication, and so forth.  Jupiter is accidentally dignified in this house as the ruler of the 9th house of the natural Zodiac, i.e. Sagittarius. 

This may not be a good thing, however, because he's also in his ancient debility in this sign as the traditional ruler of Pisces, largely because Jupiter expands and inflates what he touches and Virgo is so prone to details and critical thinking that this can bring about a frenzy of too much to deal with at the desired level.  For example, if you're involved in something that relates to this house you're likely to take on too much.  Uranus in Aries is at the eye in your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings, which suggests a sudden potentially shift to a new direction.  Since Uranus can also indicate breaking free or releasing, perhaps this will be somewhat the opposite, in other words throwing in the towel if you've been overloaded lately.  Perhaps a sudden change in your homelife will necessitate this change, on way or the other.  This is one that I can relate to as a fellow Cappy since I've definitely been trying to do far too many things lately.  Mars is just a sneeze away from leaving Virgo which will help remove some of the energy and shift it to your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, which may also be what causes activity related to your 9th to be dealt with.

Venus is in Libra, sign of her dignity as its ruler, which should have a favorable effect on your career generally.  She's sextile your sign ruler, Saturn, in Sagittarius, your 12th house of dreams, visions, your subconscious mind, seclusion, confinement, institutions, self-undoing and hidden enemies which implies an opportunity in this area which could relate to a dream or vision you have or perhaps something lurking in your subconscious.  Saturn squaring Neptune has brought numerous unrealistic expectations lately and that aspect is not going away anytime soon, so factor that in as well; whatever Venus may bring may be a good thing but don't get carried away thinking it will bring more than it will.

Pluto is still moseying along in your sign and parked on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around January 4.  Having been through a Pluto transit to my Sun a few years ago, I can tell you that you can expect some major changes in your life from this transit.  If you're resisting change, this could force it.  New information should help as well as expanding your view, having a positive attitude and not resisting change.  Which brings us back to that yod and whatever it's up to.

Neptune stations direct on November 18 which should help a little with those unrealistic expectations.  They will hopefully become less internalized and more open where you can recognize them for what they are.  I certainly hope so since they've bitten me a few times so far.  If your birthday is right around December 30 this station could bring some inspiration or a revelation, but pay attention if your instincts tell you it's a pipe dream.

The Full Moon on November 25 is in Gemini, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets and suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around December 26 this is most likely to have a stronger effect. (Heaven help me, my birthday is December 25.)  Besides the Sun, a natural component of the lunation, both your sign ruler, Saturn, and Mercury are opposing the Moon.  These are all in your 12th house as defined above.  One possibility is a lot of subconscious activity or possibly dreams related to how you feel about your work.  Naughty Neptune is forming a T-square with this in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel, so again this looks like it has the potential for unrealistic expectations, delusions or something else you probably won't like.

Mars is now in Libra, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, the last of which covers a huge range of possibilities.  The good news is that he's forming an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential with the Moon, Saturn and Mercury which suggests action on his part can mitigate and perhaps achieve the needed balance which implies the need to do something, even if it's wrong.  His quincunx with Neptune suggests a change of direction as a result.  This is a somewhat complicated lunation that looks as if changes and challenges are coming.  Fortunately, you're the type who can usually tackle such things and come out on top.
