Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The Full Moon on June 2 is in your nextdoor neighbor sign, Sagittarius, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures and suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  For this lunation the Sun is in Gemini, your 8th house of transformations, debt, death and rebirth, shared resources and intense experiences, bringing emphasis to this part of your life as well, which is likely to also be involved in some way or another.  Polar signs tend to relate to each other in some way or another so take a moment to give some thought to these two in the context of your current financial situation.  If you're well set, you can pat yourself on the back.  If that's not the case, then maybe it's time to figure out why.  Few situations in life are random.  You set yourself up, whether you recognize it or not.  Like they say, ignoring the facts does not change the facts.

Mercury Retrograde is over there in Gemini with the Sun, throwing his "rethink, reconsider, revise, review and repair" vibes to your 8th house as well.  Your traditional sign ruler, Mars, is there, too, and his presence in the 8th is often less than entertaining.  If nothing else, he may drive you to pursue intense experiences you'll later regret.  Saturn retrograde is in Sagittarius with his message usually related to the need to rebuild or restructure.  Also of interest is Neptune in Pisces, a fellow Water Sign, and your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, entertainment, speculation and ego definition.  Neptune tends to dissolve what he touches and while he can bring inspiration and enlightenment, he can also bring delusions, illusions and deception.  In a T-square with this lunation suggests the latter and could manifest as spending more money on entertainment or some other 5th house matter than you should.

That Course Adjustment Loop noted last month is still out there but will be gone by the end of the month.  It has been nudging everyone in a slightly different direction in some part of their life.  For Scorpios this is likely to relate to transforming your thought process as it relates to your work or health, which is proving to be a challenge.  Expanding your career, reputation, public image or status has possibly happened during this time which could be helpful in facilitating that transformation of your thoughts.  There's a yod embedded in this lunation as well, a.k.a. "finger of god," which looks like the final nudge toward this change of course.  It suggests that an opportunity may present itself which will facilitate the process so pay attention to what's going on around you and how even minor events or conversations may fit into the situation.

Mercury stations direct on June 11, also in Gemini.  If your birthday is right around October 28 the stationing will quincunx your natal Sun, throwing a lot of transformational energy in your direction.  The course adjustment loop is gone but there are numerous opportunities out there.  Now that Mercury is direct you can start thinking about doing something with them and moving forward.  If your birthday is right around November 7 you're getting an extra boost from Pluto, your modern sign ruler, to move in the right direction with your thought process, though you may still be resisting breaking away.

Neptune stations retrograde on June 12.  As an outer planet, he's retrograde quite a bit so this isn't as noticeable as when Mercury, Venus or Mars are doing the cosmic backstroke.  As the planet that brings everything from inspiration to delusion as noted above, he may be even more elusive when RX.  If your birthday is right around November 2 his station trines your natal Sun which may bring a nice blast of inspiration or a new vision of a positive nature.

The New Moon on June 16 is in Gemini, your 8th house as described above.  This implies something new coming into this part of your life or perhaps finally getting a grip on all that other stuff that's been going on and moving in that direction.  The lunation is quincunx your natal Sun if your birthday is right around November 18, giving you an extra boost toward a change of direction.  Your traditional sign ruler, Mars, is conjunct the lunation putting some extra energy and drive behind it.  Just bear in mind that you don't want to move too fast or abruptly.  An unexpected career advancement could come along which will usually influence your finances, bringing things back to the Full Moon earlier this month.  Saturn has snuck back into Scorpio, however, bringing that restructure/rebuild admonition to your 1st house of personality.  Some of you may have had a rather grueling time as Saturn transited this house, especially as he contacted your natal Sun.  He only makes it back as far as 28 degrees which will affect those of you born November 21 - 22; the rest of you are safe from an encore.  Nonetheless, as this astrological wet blanket makes his way back into your sign, use what may be less than happy memories of his transit to your Sun to remind you to get on track as far as your 2nd house is concerned.
